Louisiana Caucus this Saturday – April 28th. The most important action a Ron Paul supporter can do – is to come out and vote!

If you are a registered republican in Louisiana State please visit the GOP website (http://lagop.com/) and find out where your caucus is and go vote for Ron Paul delegates this Saturday. There are 30 locations and voting will be conducted between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Each location will have a Ron Paul group who will inform you which delegates to vote for. Please note all you have to do is show up, find out who are the Ron Paul delegates, vote, and then you can leave. It is not a four-hour event.

Please, please make the effort and come out and vote. We can talk about Ron Paul, we can donate to Ron Paul, but the most important thing we can do is go vote for Ron Paul. This is how we win – it is about getting delegates to the national convention. We have a tough battle in this State as there is a coalition formed to stop Ron Paul delegates from being elected – so it is about numbers and who can bring out people to go vote. Please get the word out and bring friends. If this thread could be posted up until Saturday that would be great. Anyone with any questions can call the Ron Paul headquarters in Baton Rouge at (225) 532-3063.

Bump for my Cajun Friends.

Go to the caucus and pass a good time. I will be at a benefit for the colon rectal cancer foundation at 8:00am till 8:30 supporting my wife and her giving a talk to the many about what she went through this last year. This is a big deal here in Baton Rouge. This is a big deal for my wife. She is very scared. I just wish she could be talking for NATURAL REMEDIES.

After that I will ride 28 miles to the parish we have to vote for the proper slate and elect Paul delegates. Then I will return to my bike shop until 3:00 pm.

From there I will go to a bike club meeting for the BMW Riders of Alabama club, being held in Louisiana to have boiled crawfish, and plenty of alcohol(LoL!).

The Alabama club holds a rally(called the Chicken Rally) every year on Memorial Day. Funny thing is they have MANY Louisiana members. If you ride don't miss the chicken rally. It is really great fun.

Okay, I wrote a lot just to tell you I will be doing my part tomorrow. I also will have my family do the same.

Let's assume we win them all.

Let's assume we win them all. Will any of these delegates be bound to Romney on the first ballot?

No - this election there are

No - this election there are no bound delegates. Santorum won the popular vote and I believe has a few "pledged" delegates awarded, but he is out of the race. Tomorrow's delegates are all free to vote for whomever - and that is why we want Ron Paul delegates to be elected by having people come out and vote for them tomorrow.

Swweetttt!

I didn't know tbat - please Louisiana Paul supporters, get out there tomorrow, and try not to let the establishment steam roll you!

About the process

For those of you confused about the process in LA (as I was), here's the deal: LA has 46 delegates. 20 of them are handed out based on the primary results: proportionally to all candidates who got 25%+ of the vote. The green papers is saying 10 to Santorum, 5 to Romney. The other 26 delegates are selected through a caucus process: District this weekend, and State in June.

What I'm not sure about (maybe the OP can help me out) is whether the District caucuses this weekend elect national delegates directly, or only elect delegates to the State convention, who then elect the national delegates...?

Either way, the point (if this rambling post has one) is that the caucus in LA this weekend is more important than the primary was. Get out and caucus Louisianans!

Thanks for adding to the

Thanks for adding to the understanding of LA delegate process. My understanding is that this is the first tier to becoming a national delegate. From this pool of delegates State delegates will be elected and from that pool national delegates. So we need a majority to keep voting our "guys" in and yes it is more important then the primary.

Ok, thanks for the info

bump to show up!

Folks please listen to what Matt Larson has to say!

http://www.dailypaul.com/228752/fox-news-says-ron-paul-will-...

Please folks get on the phone from Home Campaign and call existing RP supporters in Louisiana and make sure they show up to vote in the Caucus system to elect delegates. We can win LA if we all make an effort to help out by making calls to these folks as some people believe the vote is over when they held their primary, but this is when we need to take action.

The link to call from home is below-

All you have to do is pick up the phone...it is automated and
pretty fun, really. I got 2 converts in about an hour yesterday when calling Louisiana.

The people there were for Santorum and they are very undecided about what to do . There is so much misunderstanding about Ron Paul.

The people I talked to were eager to the news of a Christian
candidate to support.
