What type of voting machines were used in the primaries yesterday (4-24-2012)?

I'd really like to know the exact manufacturer and models that were used so I can do a little research. A little background on me .... I'm a software engineer with 10+ years of experience writing code in both embedded applications (The type of applications probably used in voting machines) and windows/.Net applications.

I'd like to know what type of machines were used so I can look them up and get a sense of how they work.

Thanks!

Hey Check this out!

A team of DPer's are putting together an awesome site to help prove voter fraud, its really awesome if you haven't seen it yet go here: http://www.dailypaul.com/228436/all-ct-de-ny-pa-ri-voters-pr...

NY, LONG ISLAND NASSAU COUNTY

I voted Paul, I actually won my precinct. It was fine. But it was electronic machines. Scanners. Sketchy things....

We

need to set a precedent and get the machines abolished/banned in ONE state, we just need ONE state and then use that leverage to go after the other states. Once we have one state people can use the template for getting rid of it completely in the other states. It is obvious in this election considering we are kicking ass in the caucuses with landslide victories but doing so poorly in the primary states with diebold. It is obvious to any observer that something is terribly, terribly wrong. We need open and transparent hand counted ballots in each precinct county.
Dr K research is doing some pretty good analysis on the election fraud. http://www.dailypaul.com/227926/milwaukee-county-halts-certi...
But we have even better documentation here.

http://www.dailypaul.com/220841/proof-of-election-fraud-algo...

Dr K has looked into who owns and operates es&s, and has a breakdown chart of the machines, and different systems in use. I would contact him if you want to do more research. We need to file lawsuits in every county, restraining orders, anything and everything at our disposal to take down these machines and really give Ron Paul a chance if we go third party.

WatchTheVote2012 in

WatchTheVote2012 in California is attempting to file Concerned Citizen Complaints with all 58 county civil grand juries to compel the grand jury to issue a subpoena upon voters at their precincts for a “Duplicate vote”. The strategy they are proposing is to simply have “paper ballots” returned to the grand jury for comparison to the electronic voting machines and the state GOP reports.

The civil grand juries have authority to investigate a corporation operating in the county - Diebold is such a corporation.

What if...

...peope jammed the courts with not only a slurry of civil suit claims demanding that these users of these machines PROVE that are verifiable and not cheating the voters, but also that they can not be hacked by showing all the evidence that says they can be and have been.

And...what if some inspired lawyers got larger class action cases going against these vote rigging companies and got injunctions to stop using them from being used until the proof of non-tampering was shown.

Anything to throw a monkey wrench into the works to stop it all.

*** ONLY PAPER BALLOTS HAND COUNTED WILL GIVE RON PAUL THE WIN FROM THE ACTUAL VOTING.

If they are allowed to use these machines, and IF we actually have the election, well, not to be negative but the records and patterns of the past show that Ron Paul will NOT have a chance against this corruption and vote rigging fraud.

Is there any way to find out

Is there any way to find out what the final vote counts were at the district level? The reason I ask is because I voted in Nassau County which has 21 districts. I voted just 2hrs before the polls closed and i was only the 20th person to vote. Then today I look at the vote totals and it appears that there were about 7,000 votes tallied in Nassau County. Im not saying that this is false, but what I am saying is its a little strange that my district finished with about 30 votes cast and apparently the other 20 supposedly had 6,970? Sounds fishy.

Fishy??

I'd say it's WHALEY!!!!

Any way to compare the populations of the various districts?

Bump...

Do we have population by district?

I don't know if this helps at all because it is so close but hey...

Trust me on this one...

...if the voting machines can't be rigged, they wouldn't be used.

Open Source Voting Machines with Paper Record

I am surprised a memory card from to prove it. I am surprised no one pulled one out yet and booked out the door to have it tested.

This should be standard practice, every memory card should be tested in a transparent way.

If they say no you can't! It's rigged.

Diebold proprietary patented software, sorry you can't look at our technology crap argument. More proof it's rigged

There are machines that have been offered by smaller companies that run on open source that can be verified and tested and prints a paper ballot receipt for each voter;

Please read the introduction about this machine built by , this also contains a review of most voting machines in use and their downfalls.

http://josephhall.org/papers/electronic-voting-machine.pdf

The Open Voting Consortium (OVC) is creating an open source, trustworthy, cost effective, voter verifiable voting system using open source software components on industry standard computers.

A primary element of this Open Voting system is the use of software through which the voter creates a printed paper ballot containing his or her choices.

Before casting his or her ballot the voter may use other, independently programmed, computers to verify that the ballot properly reflects the voter's choices.

The voter may also visually inspect the text printed on the paper ballot. The paper ballot is cast by placing it into a ballot box. Once cast, that paper ballot is the authoritative record.

Anyone that knows the first thing about electronics

would know that it's near impossible to secure them from exploits.

I remember when they rushed these devices into place without so much as a peep as to their potential for corruption. Unless you get a hold of the software, key-cards or something of that nature, of a machine that's compromised, you'll never be able to prove it, one way or another. It will always be speculation.

If someone were serious about finding out, they'd have to steal one right after one of the elections and hope for the right one.

My town used paper ballots.

My town used paper ballots. What was odd is they only provided pencils to mark the ballot, then you put them in the box. I of course took the pen out of my back pocket and used that.

Voting machines, It only takes 1 minute to steal an election

There are so many videos and documentaries on this subject, here is one that shows it only takes 1 minute to steal an election.
