Facebook and CISPA

Meet The Lobbyists Facebook Hired To Help The Government Spy On You

Excerpt:

Unlike SOPA, a number of major tech giants support CISPA. One of these is Facebook. Facebook employs a number of lobbying firms in Washington, and according to documents reviewed by Republic Report, the firm handling lobbying for CISPA is Fierce, Isakowitz & Blalock. We’ve created a rundown of the lobbyists at the firm who are trying to dramatically expand the power of private corporations and the government to spy on you online. Each of these lobbyists has filed reports about their lobbying for CISPA.

CISPA just passed the house.

Justin Amash just posted on Facebook that CISPA passed the House.

Amash ~ "I voted "no" on CISPA. The bill passed 248-168, but my amendment to protect library, tax, gun, educational, and medical records also passed 415-0."

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

Maybe people should black out

Maybe people should black out facebook for a week?

A week?

They laugh. There's a documentary on Netflix about Facebook. One stat they boast is that the vast majority of people that shut down their user accounts return and reactivate their accounts. They know you are addicted and will be back so they pay no mind to that. It would need to be full on, dedicated, one million user account suicide in a week, where the users move on to something else besides facebook, something like Instagram, and the users do not return. That would get their attention.

Yea I don't know what I was

Yea I don't know what I was thinking. Although to be honest I shut down my facebook account over two years ago and have no desire to ever go back.

I'm with you buddy...

don't know why I ever joined. Social voyeurism is a creepy habit.
