Mitt: "..Every new computer sold in this country, after I'm president, has installed on it a filter to block all pornography."

So wouldn't it be a great question to ask him NOW?

Governor, do you still plan, as you did in 2008, to demand that all computers have a filter to block pornography? And perhaps other speech you find objectionable? Or have you flip-flopped on that too?

How about Subs for computers, Mitt? Can you get me some subs

for me if I think about voting for you?

The FEDERAL RESERVE is strangling our country and Mitt has his head
up his but. Fool.

I agree with you!

Didn't Ben's little speech give you any confidence that the FED knows what it's doing? :)

The only problem I have with your comment is "Butt" has two t's.

Just wondering, what kind of Subs are you interested in?

I'm guessing that wouldn't be the only thing

these "filters" would censor...

Mitt, How about "Cash for hard drives"?

(Reuters) - Mitt Romney spent nearly $100,000 in state funds to replace computers in his office at the end of his term as governor of Massachusetts in 2007 as part of an unprecedented effort to keep his records secret, Reuters has learned.

The move during the final weeks of Romney's administration was legal but unusual for a departing governor, Massachusetts officials say.

The effort to purge the records was made a few months before Romney launched an unsuccessful campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. He is again competing for the party's nomination, this time to challenge Barack Obama for the presidency in 2012.

Five weeks before the first contests in Iowa, Romney has seen his position as frontrunner among Republican presidential candidates whittled away in the polls as rival Newt Gingrich, the former speaker of the House of Representatives, has gained ground.

When Romney left the governorship of Massachusetts, 11 of his aides bought the hard drives of their state-issued computers to keep for themselves. Also before he left office, the governor's staff had emails and other electronic communications by Romney's administration wiped from state servers, state officials say.

Those actions erased much of the internal documentation of Romney's four-year tenure as governor, which ended in January 2007. Precisely what information was erased is unclear.

Republican and Democratic opponents of Romney say the scrubbing of emails - and a claim by Romney that paper records of his governorship are not subject to public disclosure - hinder efforts to assess his performance as a politician and elected official.

Personally, I don't need to know what's on the hard drives to

be able to ascertain this guy has no clue about the seriousness of the problems in this country.....or if he does have a clue IT'S NOT IMPORTANT TO HIM.

the core of this shows he believes the masses are all so
dumnbed down that he can run shibboleths and no one will know how much disdain he holds us in by his own self validated reckoning.

the ELITE really think we are all, each and everyone, easily fooled and ignorant acolytes who willingly connect our nose rings to any slogan they deem will garner our getting close to their nether
regions and fall right into line as the masses have always done for the ELITE.

mb@fp#*jerks !

Any guesses what was on those hard drives?

I read about that several weeks ago and thought it was very peculiar. So, what do you think he and his staff are hiding?

About those internet filters-how SWEET! Little ol' Mitt concerned for our children. I'm sure he hasn't give any thought to the votes he could win from the conservatives by these statments.

This is one of the areas that Ron Paul has changed my thinking on. A few years ago, I would have wanted all computers to have these filters. Now, as I begin to grasp the concept of Liberty and Property Rights, I have accepted that free people can buy computers and use them for any legal function that they choose.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I think people have a right to choose to use drugs, too. But when they make the choice, they live with the consequences.

I'm a hard-headed Baptist and this way of thinking seems so foreign to me.

I think that's a great idea.

I think that's a great idea. Don't see anything wrong with it as long as I can do it to their phones as well. He's talking about a filter we can turn on and off. Nothing dubious with that.

I don't even watch porn but I

I don't even watch porn but I will have an extra, government mandated cost added to a new computer for something I don't want or need and YOU see nothing wrong with that? What if the company selling this filter donated a large sum to Mitt's campaign, and their profits skyrocket due to this government mandate? That's OK?

He's pandering to the christian

Mitt better watch out.

He is a "political pornographer" if there ever was one.

Sounds like

A guy who frequently screams out his own name.

What's he talking about?

There are plenty of internet safeguards available. He's banking on these elderly people he's pandering to not knowing that. BTW, what a crowd, obviously SRO. I thought I saw a granny climbing a tree outside the window.

The title of this thread already had me cracking up - but that granny climbing the tree thing just pushed me over the edge! :D

Seriously, what crack is Romney smoking?! He's planning on going up against Obama and he is going to tell all of America - countless hordes of which watch pornography - that he is going to filter their computers? I know there are a lot of brainwashed sheeple out there, but really??? How daft is this guy?

Also, for the record, I too am a Christian, but this is just the most ridiculous thing yet. If any of my conservative friends bring this up as a selling point, I won't even get mad, I will just start laughing in their face!
