Fukushima Is Falling Apart!.. Are You Ready For Mass Extinction?

Fukushima Is Falling Apart!.. Are You Ready For Mass Extinction?

More about Fukushima Daiichi’s Spent Fuel Pools:

Mainichi Expert Sr. Writer: Gov't sources say No. 4 pool a grave concern -- Storage pool barely intact -- We have no time to humor senseless thinking of those who downplay the risks

Asahi TV: "Unbelievable" -- If Unit 4 pool gets a crack from quake and leaks, it would be end for Tokyo -Expert -- Doesn't have to be large tremor, already shaken many times (VIDEO)

WATCH: Japan lawmakers warned about Spent Fuel Pool No. 4 during testimony of former ambassador (VIDEOS)

Gundersen: No. 3 fuel pool worse off than No. 4 -- Mechanically it's rubble, the pool is rubble -- Nobody has even gotten near it yet (VIDEO)

NYT on Reactor No. 4: "Risk of another colossal radiation leak" if cooling problems arise, experts say -- "Tepco has been racing to fortify crumpled outer shell"

Wyden’s letter to US Ambassador to Japan Ichiro Fujisaki

If they are MOX fuel, containing 6% plutonium, one fuel rod has the potential to kill 2.89 billion people. If this pool collapses, as Senator Wyden is now saying too, we would face a mass extinction event from the release of radiation in those rods.

That is, if we aren’t in one already. Nuke experts like Arnie Gundersen and Helen Caldicott are prepared to evacuate their families to the southern hemisphere if that happens. It is that serious.

So now you know, if you didn’t before. We are in big trouble.

This really annoys me every

This really annoys me every time I see the title. Forgive my language, but this is complete bullshit.
Aside from the "info", the page is laid out in the way we see time and again in anything that is sensationalist or snake oil. Do they lay everything out in a nice simple format? No! They lay it out in a mix of fonts in a vertical arrangment so it makes the page longer.
I dont get why this is the way the pages get laid out with people like this. Its almost like they think people would find them out too easily if they made it look like a nice normal informational article.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

I am ready

to accept whatever happens regarding the reactors.

The Japanese legislature is ripe with corruption in that corporate State, so people should focus on what the corporations are doing there regarding this issue. ie. plant closings, CEO's moving offshore, run on the banks, profit taking, etc.

China and Japan's neighbors should be preparing for legal action against Japan if this situation gets out of control.

Maybe this is the reason

Maybe this is the reason President Obama issued The National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order. The National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order allows the president to “take actions necessary to ensure the availability of adequate resources and production capability, including services and critical technology, for national defense requirements” in the event of a “potential threat to the security of the United States” despite not being at war.

The sad...

...unreality is...anything is possible under these circumstances...Patriot Act...NDAA...CISPA...threatening Executive orders and there is actually more of this draconian govt corporation stuff. All for easier take overs of all the smaller corporations (people). Why does that series of Robo Cop come to mind all of a sudden?...a possible false flag at Chicago nato-meet?

...is a cool web page from good ol Max. He is such a card that one. Love his unabashed ways of telling it like it is. Take it for what it is or not.

This is a real deal and everyone here is hopefully smart enough to understand how things can change over night if this continues to get worse. What is important today, may not be important tomorrow and this can lock the whole country down.

Preparations are vital in these changing times. Not preparing to survive, is preparing to perish. You should know what to do if there is a huge radiation release from either of these reactors spilling, or falling over. Ask if you want info.

It will be endless radiation fall out all over the country here at home with no real watch guard to protect the American People from it. The EPA is not doing the job they are payed billions of dollars to do so it is up to each individual to protect themselves and adopt the proper protocols to prevent radiation poisoning.

If this goes off before the election, it will be enough to declare the dictatorship, and the people will all be like frightened sheep more than ready to crawl in to the protective custody of the govt. The sad epilog if this were to happen could be that we would miss the historical turn-a-round of this country under the Presidency of Ron Paul. Another good reason for the country to unite as one and elect him so he will do something about it, compared to the nothing that has been done to stop this insanity so far.

Even though people say he supports nuklear power, it can be almost assured that if he saw the real dangers from fukushima, if he sat down with Arnie Gunderson and understood what could happen to all those here including all his grandchildren, he would DO the right thing and stop this madness of contaminating the entire planet for the profits of a few at GE etc adfinatum collection of criminals involved in the nuk industry.

Mike Rivero is speaking to this right now. Look for the links to the archived John show on the Perm WRH thread.

Pray people that this is fixed some how before one of these falls or crashes. No one wants to see it happen, but the fact is, it could. When it does, we will all know and then it is any game face from there. Being Boy Scout like is American.

Got potassium iodide?

The Army does:

If the names Gunderson and

If the names Gunderson and Caldicott are involved, you can safely ignore the theatrics.

Don't know about mass extinction

but mass hysteria is a real possibility...

Again, the elevated iodine-131 levels found in Cali are NOT from the Fukushima plume as it is conventionally described - I-131 just has too short a half-life to have made it across the Pacific. In fact, ANY I-131 found ANYWHERE today did not come from the initial meltdown, as that isotope would have decayed to virtually nothing by now.

Keiser's scientifically illiterate association of the Fukushima disaster with these elevated i-131 levels sends his credibility straight into the crapper.

By your naive statement,

By your naive statement, "I-131 just has too short a half-life to have made it across the Pacific. In fact, ANY I-131 found ANYWHERE today did not come from the initial meltdown, as that isotope would have decayed to virtually nothing by now.," makes me think you don't actually know what half-life is. Half-life is the time it takes for half of the starting amount to have decayed. Meaning that if we started out with 1 then after 8 days we are now at 1/2 the starting amount, and after 16 days we are at 1/4 of the starting amount. The only thing needed for large amounts of I-131 to be present in California today, is for there to have been a very large amount of I-131 to start with.

To calculate the ending amount of material the equation is:
(starting amount) X (1/2)^(number of half-lives) = (ending amount)

So to figure out what the starting amount was, one only needs to do basic algebra, and we get:
(ending amount) / (1/2)^(number of half-lives) = (starting amount)

The half-life of I-131 is approximately 8 days.
Number of half-lives = (total time elapsed / length of half-life)

I'm sure you can do the math from here.

It is gone

Try reading the article that was cited.

The measurement was taken about a month after the event. It has decayed and is now undetectable.

The testing was done by a

The testing was done by a grad student; I wonder if he would have any reason -his Ph.D- to corroborate the EPA's findings?

Also, is Scientific American still pushing for the federal government to spend more money on Scientific Research? Are they, maybe, publicizing the Royal Society which wants more redistribution of wealth and birth control for a better Earth?

Maybe you should check to see who owns them to see if there is any reason that they might not be forthright in giving accurate details.

While I like Scientific American as much as the next person, however, you shouldn't just blindly accept everything they tell you; they aren't obliged to be 100% honest.

How can anyone

The site from your source doesn't look very credible. It is quite hysterical about a lot of things. I'm not trying to say Fukushima is anything less than horrible, but c'mon...

The fact that the No.4 reactor is a ticking time bomb was reported sometimes back in the 17th I think
and here's another recent report: http://www.opednews.com/articles/Fukushima-poses-ongoing-da-...

even in march there were concerns http://finance.yahoo.com/news/probe-finds-worse-damage-fukus...

and wsj has an article on it as well http://blogs.wsj.com/japanrealtime/2012/04/17/fukushima-daii...

Right now, Japan is asking for help from IAEA I think... let's hope people realize this is not over yet (even though it's been a year)

I don't disagree with you

I don't disagree with you that Fukushima needs to be dealt with and that the media has done a horrible job covering it. I'm no expert, but I'm sure that the effects from it are a lot more devastating than what the media says.

However, I really get tired of people who get hysterical about every piece of news. This crowd of people tend to blow things way out of proportion and almost always gather information from less than credible sources. Know what I'm saying? David Icke links on that website...give me a break.

I don't believe getting for hysterical about it either
Thought I'd provide some other sources that's all :)

You are just trying to provide sources and not mass hysteria than why is your thread titled "Fukushima Is Falling Apart!.. Are You Ready For Mass Extinction?"....?

.... this is not my thread....
