Why Isn't Ron Paul Calling For A One-on-One Debate!Submitted by LibertyBaby on Thu, 04/26/2012 - 20:29
So the entire GOP field of puppet candidates, faux candidates, and media distractions has finally been cleared -- leaving now just a two man contest between the Establishment's Mitt Romney and the one true grassroots candidate Ron Paul.
So why the hell isn't Ron Paul out there now publically calling for and demanding a one-on-one Debate with Mitt Romney? Why isn't Jesse Benton, Doug Weed, Bruce Fein, and whoever else in the Ron Paul campaign now demanding a one-on-one Presidential Debate with Romney?
For we would then finally see an actual, real, authentic Presidential Debate where Ron Paul not only gets equal-time, but Ron Paul gets 50% of the total time to lay out the giant contrast and choice before the American public (and educate them in mass like never before).
Is this not that game changing event we've wanted all along? Ron Paul has never had a forum like that before. The opportunity is right now, and he and his campaign must now act and seize it.
Now I know that Romney would attempt to decline, and claim that the nomination fight is "over". But Ron Paul could have a whole lot of fun in public with this, as he once did with Rudy Guilliani. He could make a daily challenge to Romney each and every day, and point out that there has never been a one-on-one Presidental Debate before....and why is Mitt Romney so afraid?...snicker..snicker...
Eventually Romney would be embarassed and look weaker and weaker to the public, and pressure would build for him to face down the challenge. It would also create a news event to fill the current vaccum, and compel the Media to comment on it -- if Mitt Romney's only opponent was calling for a debate every day, and making jokes, and questioning whether Romney could be tough enough to be President if he can't even face his opponent in a one-on-one forum.
This could be the game changer, folks.
