Daily Paul Site Load - Tips Updated

0 votes

Dear Friends,

Once again, the site is bogging down due the overwhelming traffic. Each time I upgrade the server, the amount of traffic increases to overwhelm it. I've been working on different kinds of caching solutions - but for the mean time, this is what we've got. The site is running on a cache, so comments may not show up immediately. The lights may flicker a bit, but I'm working on the problems as best as I can. Here are some tips for the big day:

1) If you are not commenting on a story, please log out.. There is a logout button on the top menu. You'll be able to surf the site much faster if you're logged out, though new content will show up on a five minute delay.

2) If you want to chat about the day's event, you can use the new chat feature - there is a link above the picture of Dr. Paul that shows the number of people chatting at any given time.

3) These are just stopgap measures. Whatever happens today, the Daily Paul is not going away! If you would like to support the efforts here, please buy a poster. These are a limited edition run, designed by yours truly. Only 500 were printed, only about 350 are left. They are $50 each, and all proceeds go toward upgrading and continuing funding of the DP!

4) Listen to Ron Paul Revolution Radio for updates.

Thank you all and good luck today. This is only the beginning!

letter to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger

Dear Governor Schwartzenegger,
Like you, I am a first generation immigrant in this country, and this is the first time I have the oportunity to vote for a president.
You just lost one of your loyal supporters by endorsing senator Mc Cain, who is in my opinion a "va-t-en-guerre".I am not ready to vote for a man who is willing to keep our country at war for 100 years or more, no matter the sacrifices of our young men and women.
Did you listen to Rep. Ron Paul?
I don't think so, because he is the only one, like you, willing to work not for a party, but for the peoples of USA, with the help of every capable man or women, no matter the color of his or her politic.
By supporting this candidate you seem to be more interresed in the status quo than the interests of the people.
Stop making big mistakes or you will loose the roots of this state.
Respectfully,

A former admirer,
Dan Kramer
