Calling the Republic of TEXAS! It is an OPEN Primary! Show us who is BOSS! Deadline to register to vote is April 30!

1. You don't have to be registered Republican to vote in the Texas primary May 29th.
2. You just have to be registered to vote
(And the deadline to register to vote, if you are not, is April 30!).
3. And you must vote in the primary if you plan to vote for Dr. Paul in the general election in November.

Let me say those three things again:

1. You don't have to be registered Republican to vote in the Texas primary May 29th.
2. You just have to be registered to vote.
3. And you must vote in the primary if you plan to vote for Dr. Paul in the general election in November.

I know, I know, I saw it. But keep in mind that the latest Politico poll from Texas Republicans is a poll from people...who actually answer their home phones (or have home phones).

What does that tell you?

Texas is an OPEN primary. (Or semi-open).

The pollings before MY state primary (Virginia, another open primary state), was even worse for Dr. Paul, yet he ended up winning entire districts and got 41% of the total vote.

Instructions on what to do here:

CALLING ALL TEXAS Independents, all Texas Libertarians, and last but not least by far, ALL disillusioned 2008 Texas Democrat and Obama voters!!

All of those people who in 2008 who voted for hope and change but did not know that president would railroad over the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence...

Calling all good Texans who voted in 2008 for someone they did not know would be signing their lives, their freedoms, and their futures away with a President who believes that American citizens (and citizens of the Republic of Texas) can be indefinitely detained without a trial...forever.

ALL OF YOU...can vote in the Primary.

You heard that right! ALL of you can vote in the Primary coming up.

Once again: You DON'T have to be registered with the REPUBLICAN party in Texas to vote for Dr. Paul.

But you MUST vote in the Republican Primary MAY 29 for him!

The date to register to vote in Texas is April 30.

For those of you already registered: Get out and get people registered!

Again here are the instructions.

Remember the Alamo. And fight to every man (and woman) left standing.

YOU CAN DO THIS.

It is time for Texas to stand up and show this country who is BOSS....by voting for the BOSS himself, the good Dr. Paul.

Here again is the link for all you need.

Thank you big TEXAS!

We are counting on our big brother state down there to stand up for all of us smaller states and for Lady Liberty, open up a big can of Texas whoop-ass, and MAKE THIS THING HAPPEN!

Texas DEADLINE!

BUMP!

Someone contact this person

Ron Paul Pool Party/BBQ on Election Day?

Hmmmm... this is a tempting thought.

Organize a HUGE BBQ on election day, and require all friends/attendees to vote before arriving, and also run shuttles to the polls for those that haven't voted yet.

Steak, Potatoes, and Beverages... only for those who vote.

registered

got my registration card and will take as many people with me as possible to the polls at the end of May.

I live in a romneyesque county. They love big government, they love invading everyone else's privacy. The feel good Obama voters in this county will support Romney in the primary because he is identical to their tyrant king.

The voter turnout in this county is always very high.... but it doesn't matter, i'm voting anyway... and i'm voting for the only politician that matters.

First we'll vote,
Next we'll take over the state convention,
and then we win in Tampa.

Texas needs help!

We have been Perried so long and he has endorsed Mitt, so we need ads showing the massive crowds, poll that he can beat O, and the one showing O and M are the same. Texans for Dr. Ron Paul

Hold your breath....

...tick, tock.

Keep that ventilator handy though.

comparison sheet

On the top left it says 7am and 7pm. Should it not say 7am to 7pm? People might get confused.

Are you SURE about #1?

"1. You don't have to be registered Republican to vote in the Texas primary May 29th."

Are you SURE about that?

Here in California there's a "GOTCHA!" with the party affiliation: The state lets you vote in any party's primary, regardless of your party affiliation. But they count the votes separately for each affiliation. The Republican party only accepts the totals from those registered Republican (and maybe those registered "decline to state").

(They do it that way because there are a BUNCH of Democrats who'd love to foul up the Republican's machinery, so the Republicans said that either the state breaks out the count by affiliation or they'll stop paying attention to the primary AT ALL and go to caucus or some other system.)

So a lot of, say, registered Democrats may vote for Ron but their votes WON'T COUNT. In California you MUST re-register for the primary if you are registered as affiliated with another party.

Are you SURE the situation isn't the same in Texas?

(If I were in TX I'd register R just to be sure. It's not like there's any downside to it.)

Texas could put the final

Texas could put the final nail in Romney's coffin.

If That's the Case...

Look out. The G.O.P. establishment will pull out all of their stops to prevent Ron Paul. They will use their old and new tricks. This might be a very contentious underhanded battle ground state for Romney. But, Texas after all is Ron Pauls home state and their are many more Paul supporters down there than, for Romney.

Hahahaha. I love your signature block.

A Bible verse (a very good one)....and a double middle finger to McCain.

Hysterical.

I voted for that sonofab-i-t-c-h (McCain) in 2008 as the lesser of two evils (I was not awakened to Dr. Paul at the time unlike many of the enlightened individuals who got there many years before me).

Boy was I wrong.

But I also sent him my letter rescinding my vote after I found out he co-sponsored the NDAA.

Now I wanna punch him in the face as a hello.

My how quickly things can change.

You Texans are fortunate!

I had to persuade potential supporters who likes Ron Paul to register for Republican even though they despise being part of that party. That is because California is a closed primary.

We In VA Kinda Failed Paul And Only Got Him 41%

I hope you Texans can top it. Please show up and participate. Go RP Texas!

Considering I dont think Ron

Considering I dont think Ron Paul even tried to gain support in VA (since its a winner-take-all) I dont blame paul and am shocked he even got as many votes as he did, and won a couple of districts... Im sure it was mostly the anti-romney vote, but I shudder to think how much a little support here in VA might have actually made a bit of a difference.

Again, I dont blame him, he had more important goals for super tues than our state, and those caucus states that he focused on are really paying off. (Except ND... because we got totally screwed in that state and cheated over beyond repair)

But, Texas on the other hand, its his home state, you dont get any more grassroots for RP than Texas :)

The other positive, is that its a half primary half caucus state so if nothing else he should walk away with a large majority out of the caucus portion, but I would LOVE to see the slap in the face 70/30 vote in Texas :)

You all can do it. I have faith! Prove that those massive turn outs for those Rallies werent all hype (although I ask myself what hype? because its not as if the news media even covered it... but you get my point)

Today is 4/28, so we better get seriously campaigning and phoning. We also need to seriously work on vote fraud. Let's show the rest of the U.S. some old Texas spirit.

Remember the Alamo!

The website to register

says deadline is the 29th and also we are all getting new registration cards due to redistricting...

Absentee?

Is absentee an option or only in person? I re-registered months ago hoping to see an absentee ballot in the mail but haven't seen anything yet but I don't know if they do that for primaries.

Wrong details but message received y'all

#1 and #2 are correct with some exceptions and #3 is flat wrong as a prereq to the general election. The proper term is "should" vote in the primary to make a statement of support, rigged or not.

Here are the actual qualifications, most important being registered 30days prior to the election. If the voting day doesn't count then that means your card has to be post marked today; better safe than sorry....

The requirements for voting in Texas are simple and few. First, you must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years old, and registered to vote. Also, you must be a resident of Texas for at least thirty days (thirty days is also the length of time before an election by which one must have registered in order to vote - see below).

For elections to the U.S. House of Representatives, state Legislature (House or Senate), and county or municipal government you must be a resident of those districts or jurisdictions for at least thirty days in order to vote in those elections. Additionally, you must not have been declared mentally incompetent and you cannot be a convicted felon whose sentence, probation, or parole has not been completed.

If you meet this short list of requirements, then you need only register to be eligible to vote. In recent years the registration process has been simplified. You merely fill out a small card that is available by request on the Internet and at many locations, including any location where you apply for or renew your driver's license. Once you send in your completed voter registration card, you are eligible to vote in the next election, as long this election is at least thirty days away and you have not changed addresses without reregistering. The Secretary of State's Web site contains a form you can fill out to receive a voter registration form from the county in which you want to register.

Thanks for the information...

I was going on this quote from the blue republican website on this page here:

http://www.bluerepublican.org/welcome-to-blue-republican/texas/

Am I mis-tinterpreting what they are saying when they say: "Any Texan who is registered to vote may vote in either the Republican or the Democratic primary (but not both). You do not have to register with the Republican party to vote for Ron Paul, but you must vote in the Republican primary."?

Anyways...thanks for the info. If that is the case I will change the language to your suggestion.

what are you even TALKING

what are you even TALKING about with #3? If Ron Paul gets himself on the general election ballot as a third party, you can vote for him whether you vote in Texas or not.
