That was a fun game.
My wife asked what I was doing when the game started, I told her playing a game called Ron Paul vs. the thieves of liberty, when the game was over she asked did you win ? or do I even need to ask. LOL

I waited about 5 minutes and gave up. (This was 5 minutes of waiting after Ron walks across the stage.) My bandwidth isn't impressive so that may have been the problem. I couldn't take another rep of that song verse though. :-P

Ok. Are you running a 56k modem dial-up, or maybe something slower? What kind of system are you running?

what program did you use to make that game and can you make others with different actions and styles, that was cool. was it mentally hard to make or fairly easy? how long did it take to make it?

The game, including the intros and outros, was made with Flash 8.0 & Flash CS3. We can definitely make others with different styles and actions! :) It's what we do. :)

The effort to make the game involved a combination of different elements...

~ Game Concept: not too difficult. It's essentially "Snakes & Ladders" meets "Monopoly Ultra-lite" with a triple scoop of tongue-in-cheek political propaganda. The choice was made to keep it simple, like that, in order to get it out in time to do some good for Dr. Paul.
~ Graphic Design: an ongoing effort, throughout, with nothing so super-detailed that it took an inordinant amount of time. Lots of cut-outs. The White House is about most detailed element.
~ The Text Content of the Cards: this took a fair amount of time and brainstorming, as I wanted to keep the issues pertinent to Dr. Paul's platform and the campaign, as it has run to date...though I did manage to pry in a few pet issues of my own, hopefully not to Dr. Paul's distaste.
~ The Animation: Nothing too complex,here, with the exception of the intro piece where the Marionette of Dr. Paul walks across the stage. That was our first crack at that effect, and, it looks a bit choppy. Even still, if you look at the 2004 Jib-Jab pieces (brilliant stuff), they never attempt anything quite that fluid. All of the movements in their pieces are intentionally jerky, which tends to make them funny. I didn't want Dr. Paul to seem so funny.
~ The Coding: This was pretty intensive, and it involved a lot of Object Oriented Programming, which is not typically intuitive, but you get the hang of it, eventually.

Overall, the project took 4 weeks to first release, and then another 3 to reach the release you've seen. 7 weeks of my life for Liberty! I loved every minute, though I'm exhausted, and my brain hurts.
