ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – In response to an article published by The New Republic, Ron Paul issued the following statement:

“The quotations in The New Republic article are not mine and do not represent what I believe or have ever believed. I have never uttered such words and denounce such small-minded thoughts.

“In fact, I have always agreed with Martin Luther King, Jr. that we should only be concerned with the content of a person's character, not the color of their skin. As I stated on the floor of the U.S. House on April 20, 1999: ‘I rise in great respect for the courage and high ideals of Rosa Parks who stood steadfastly for the rights of individuals against unjust laws and oppressive governmental policies.’

“This story is old news and has been rehashed for over a decade. It's once again being resurrected for obvious political reasons on the day of the New Hampshire primary.

“When I was out of Congress and practicing medicine full-time, a newsletter was published under my name that I did not edit. Several writers contributed to the product. For over a decade, I have publically taken moral responsibility for not paying closer attention to what went out under my name.”

I just got a call from an organization, Citizens United, that is producing a, soon to be released, documentary on Hillary's Socialist agenda and all her lies. David N. Bossie, former chief investigator for the U S House Committee on Government Reform and Oversight, is involved in this effort, as is Dick Morris. This should be really good since Dick Morris has a lot of dirt on the Clintons from having been an insider (political advisor to Bill).

Of course, they were asking for a donation. I politely told them no.

I just got off the phone with media relations at campaign headquarters. Legal counsel has it now and they are deciding on what action to take.

This is nothing new - similar to the hit piece on Falwell (I think) regarding Tinky Winky or whatever that teletubby was called. This is the guilt by loose association attack. Smear is the only way to describe it.

Reading everything he claims Ron Paul wrote makes it obvious Ron Paul did not write it. Someone with half his IQ did and they did it to his detriment. I called the campaign and they are looking into it.
Please pray that this gets resolved and quickly.

He admits that he had to dig really deep to find this. Then he makes efforts to twist the words around and take them out of context, also admitting that he doesn't really know who the author is. What a hack job. The fat that he digs this up proves he is not concerned with racial harmony, otherwise why dig it up?

Look at RP's policies, adn the peace and opportunity it would bring to all races! Blacks and other minorities are overwhelmingly the victims of the war on drugs, capital punishment, and are heavily recruited to die in foreign wars. I'm pretty sure most of the people here are intelligent enough to see through this crap.

3 people will read it, and 2 of them will see it for what it is. Most won't have the patience to get through the intro, and the smears don't start until after.
