If you have a tablet the most

If you have a tablet the most amazing thing is being able to use the free Mises catalog. You can download some pretty amazing books to keep like:

-Any book written by Mises and Rothbard
-Economics in one lesson
-There's a few Ron Paul books on there
-Road to Serfdom
-More books by Hazlitt, Hayek, Lew Rockwell, Walter Block and the list just goes on and on.

If you download Aldiko or Stanza apps, just type in Mises.org/catalog under the catalogs and sharing section and you will have access to over 500 free books and publications. This app/catalog more than pays for the price of a tablet on its own.

I love technology

Great for bestsellers, not so for 1960's Gothic Novels

I've been a seller on Amazon for 1 year this month. I still get good prices for Gothic Paperbacks from the 60's that were never reprinted, and other non-reprinted texts such as memoirs/biographies, and other types of books that have limited but dedicated readers that regenerate over the decades.

If my personal library were to be destroyed by a flood or fire (again...sigh) I would buy an e-reader, but as for now I'd rather keep the physical tomes even though they take up space etc.

Plus, something I don't hear much, but physical books have certain memories attached to certain pages and where I was at the time when I first read them that I can't imagine happening with an electronic device.

Securing America from terrorist attacks, White House bombings, presidential assassinations, chemical weapons, sex drugs rock roll anthrax ricin protest march gun Fidel Castro

I wouldn't buy one separately

But I already have iBooks on my iPod touch, so I use it since it's there anyway.

I prefer physical books, but it is very convenient to get books fast. Also it is often cheaper than physical books and there are even some free ones.

I downloaded several ebooks from the Ludwig von Mises website onto my iPod too. :D

ereaders

I'll stick to books thanks. The great thing about a book is I don't require special hardware to read a book.

Two shorten the road.

If your book collection

If your book collection measures into the thousands, they're invaluable.
