but I'm supposed to get an upload as early as late tonight of film shot tonight at Davis.

The media will arrive at a number. One of the stations made clear they wanted me to give them numbers from Fullerton, so I gave them the range and it turned out to be what the campaign reported as well.

Since the media is starting to show up it's really their job to count...and the Paul campaign should count...all that takes at a place like Fullerton, literally, is a clicker at each point of entry. At Davis, you can't do that, but you know from past events where it is packed how many were there.

That Quad was packed a few months back during the pepper spraying incidents and the media reported those numbers then. Anyone can look that up. The media probably will base numbers for tonight off those older numbers. It's only logical.

lens take the "money shot" at all of these massive rallies?? Is there a specific reason they use the the photos taken by Dr. Paul's "body man" (the tall dark haired fellow) on his iphone??

They don't do the crowds (or the movement) any justice!! It's bad enough that the MSM ignores Dr. Paul because his campaign isn't "serious"... why do things that reinforce their false stereotype??

Like it or not, Politics = OPTICS.

I can't think of a single sensible reason for why the campaign continues to use photos that a.) are taken with an iphone and b.) chop off half the crowds bc they're taken from an oblique angle behind Dr. Paul, as the "official" images that get posted to ronpaul2012.com and sent out to all the media in a press release.

Seriously, it would take a pro photographer (w/ a giant wide angle lens) less than 10 seconds to move into position behind Dr. Paul and snap an A+ "over-the-shoulder" pic.

But if a pro-photographer = too much to ask, then please... at least take an "over-the-shoulder" shot from directly behind Dr. Paul. OTS photos = one of the most powerful photograph 'archetype' in politics. Few other photo-types carry the visual power of a politician speaking before a vast sea of people. Why? Because so few politicians ever draw vast seas of people to hear them speak!

Large crowds not only = social proof that the politician's message is "popular", but OTS photos in particular have the unique ability to present the viewer with a brief yet intimate glimpse of the world through the eyes of the politician... OTS photos allow the viewer to see the world through Dr. Paul's eyes and in the best sense possible, share in the adulation/glory/applause that the politician's message brings....

Which is precisely why the MSM goes out of their way to CROP out the crowds in a majority of their Dr. Paul photos.

Been to court too many times, and typically defended by people who don't agree with my libertarian viewpoints but defend my right to expression.

Mostly, one can assume when someone shows up dressed as KKK or the Energizer Bunny or whatever, that's a paid gig...or some "altruistic" activist who has been inspired by outsiders, perhaps unwittingly.

That happens MOST of the time when these so-called "spontaneous" demonstrations occur.

Dressing KKK and strolling into a crowd of thousands of Paul supporters, there to hear a speech isn't the kind of thing the usual lone activist does.

I'm going to defend the guy's right, as you suggest, and even defend it if it was part of a "scheme" to make Paul look bad.

But I don't like it (and I know you don't either) and I'm not going to think it wasn't inspired by opponents of Paul.

That seems obvious.
