Moore County

Voted in Moore County. Was #389 in for the day at my location. Most everybody is there just for the marriage amendment. Spoke with a disgruntled Santorum supporter who was adamant on the typical "foreign policy" issue, but wasn't going to vote for Romney either. Spoke to one of my buddies on the phone who was going to go vote with his wife, and he was going to vote for Romney "because he already won". I said, "Well, if he's got it in the bag, I guess it wouldn't hurt for you to vote for Ron Paul." "Yeah, guess you're right." A hardcore left-wing friend in Indiana considered voting for Paul just for giggles.

My mom and I just went and voted - both for Ron Paul! My dad will be voting this afternoon, so there's a third. :D

Mysteriously, my machine didn't have any option regarding Amendment One. Yet another reason not to trust the machines.

Just voted for RP and it felt as good as it did 4 years ago! I'm very disappointed that there is no way to audit these paper to electronic voting methods.

I asked the poll workers if I get a receipt of my votes so that I know it was counted correctly - they looked at me like I was crazy. The one guy said "It's okay - it's being counted by a computer" which was exactly my point!

I'm also looking forward to voting for RP in the upcoming American's Elect Caucuses!

According to my understanding of the RNC Rule 11(b) if you vote in the AE caucus (whatever that is) then you may disqualify Dr. Paul in your State. Here is the Rule for you information:

"11(b) No state Republican Party rule or state law shall be observed that allows persons who have participated or are participating in the selection of any nominee of a party other than the Republican Party, including, but not limited to, through the use of a multiparty primary or similar type ballot, to participate in the selection of a nominee of the Republican Party for that general election. No person nominated in violation of this rule shall be recognized by the Republican National Committee as the nominee of the Republican Party from that state."

think they canceled the AE caucus due to no candidate, but stay alert. Don't vote for Ron Paul anywhere else except at the poll.

Visited some polling stations..

I put Paul signs out around 8 different polling stations and went around and checked on them. All of my signs had been taken from one of the polling stations, and one sign was missing from two of the others. I can't explain the individual missing signs unless maybe someone saw that there were already a bunch there and moved a sign to a different polling location. ??

Turnout seems to be above average, with most people showing up to vote primarily on the marriage amendment. Most I talked to had no clue who to vote for in the statewide races. They just know that their preacher and Franklin Graham told them to vote for the amendment.

imho the Paul campaign really missed an opportunity here. If Paul had made a couple of stops here and they'd spent just a little money on signs then he could have some momentum going into TX and CA. As it is Romney will gain more traction as "the nominee" and it'll be even harder to get votes in TX and CA.

Oh, and I haven't seen a single Romney sign or bumper sticker. NONE.

Just voted in NC

Steady stream of voters but the marriage admendment was on the ballot and that caused a lot of voters to show up. I called last night to remind voters to vote. My son told me of a Mitt supporter that needed a ride to the polls since he was not interested in Dr Paul I declined to carry him to vote. A lot of people think that only Mitt is still running. Dr Paul was second on the ballot behhind newt then mitt and rick. Praying for a good showing for the Dr.

Electronic voting machines. Here is my conversation with the election official about electronic tabulation and no receipt.

Me: How do I know that my vote was counted since there is no receipt?

Stupid election official: Because the number went from 340 to 341 after you inserted the ballot.

Me: But how do I know the votes were counted for whom I voted? There is no receipt.

Stupid election official: Well you know who you voted for.

Me: Yes, I do, but I have no idea if they are tabulated correctly. Electronic voting machines are very easily hacked, and I didn't do the programming on this machine.

Stupid election official: Well you just have to trust in it.

Me: Trust in what, the computer?

Stupid election official: Yes

Me: No, I don't have to trust in a computer. The voting process should be open for all to observe. Who is counting these votes?

I'm in Statesville, just

I'm in Statesville, just north of Moorseville and also from NY originally. You may have seen the Ron Paul 2012 signs in red and white around HWY 150 and Brawley School Rd. That was me. I have been to two precincts today and there has been a steady flow. Most people coming were senior citizens and not very receptive towards taking my literature for Paul. No worries though, we are winning the future regardless.

I have to mention this--I am new to North Carolina as of December 2011 (I'm from NY originally). I started to become quite disheartened with this strange Southern neo-Republican mindset, and thought it was a lost cause to try to reach out to people about Ron Paul and his ideals. There are all kinds of signs up for Gingrich and Santorum... but one day, out of the blue, huge Ron Paul signs appeared on the busiest roads here in Mooresville (150 and 77, and Williamson and Brawley). I'm happy to know that there's Ron Paul supporters here--it makes being away from family and friends in NY (of whom we share similar political sentiments) much easier.

We had a group of Paul sign wavers on the corner of HWY 150 and Williamson last Saturday from 2-4:30. It went well and I was very happy to see someone put up those big banners.

Awesome! I'm sad I missed it! Ahh! I am part of the Greater Charlotte Ron Paul Meet Up group, but they do a lot in Mecklenburg county and delegate selection, etc. I'm not that politically savy, I mostly just want to spread the word about Ron Paul and his philosophy with like-minded people, so anytime you have anything going on up here in Iredell county, feel free to get a hold of me.

Paul signs vs Romney

I live in Rockingham county NC, and I've only seen one bumper sticker for Mitt Romney. However I've seen several Ron Paul stickers and signs at various places. This isn't a good measure for how the vote will turn out, but I think its an indicator that Paul is gonna have a good turn out in a state that tends to fall in line. I have been spreading the word of Paul and know that at least 6 people that voted for Paul in early voting. That is 6 people in a primary, where usually no one votes.

i've researched every person running and these are who i think is best. as in McCall, there was no good candidate, but he was the lesser of three evils.

obviously, this is my best shot. it doesn't mean that it's perfect. i have met a lot of these people. some gave me the creeps (like pantano) and some i loved their heart for liberty.

Others will be on the ballot

Gingrich and Santorum (as well as "no preference") will be on the ballot tomorrow in NC. If you can go to your local polling station and make sure people know that Ron Paul is the only Conservative still in the race then you can help steer some of the anti-Romney vote towards Paul.

The anti-Romney vote will be split four ways so don't expect more than 10% out of NC.

Also, get to the state Convention in Greensboro June 1-3. It's critical that every Paul supporter in NC who went to their precinct and county conventions is at the state convention.

Great info on the delegate race, but don't be so sure

of those numbers. When Bachmann fell out of the race, she got less than 1% in her home state. When Perry fell out, he received also a tiny amount. Same with Cain and Huntsmann. Now, it is broadcast everywhere that Santorum is long gone, and now Gingrich. Does anyone really believe they will receive more votes than Paul: nonsense.

Beware: if Gingrich and Santorum "get" 5% or more, it will be from election tampering. GUARD YOUR VOTE. Go to www.ronpaulvotecount.org
