Any Way To Change the DailyPaul Picture Link When Posting on Other Sites?
Submitted by BetweenUnemployment on Mon, 04/30/2012 - 20:41in
Whenever I post a dailypaul article on other sites (e.g., Facebook), the caption of the comment comes up next to a picture of Jan Helfeld (probably from the Daily Paul Feature: Dana Loesch of CNN...). Is there anyway to change that to get a picture of Ron Paul or of the DailyPaul logo or something? I'm sure it's automatic by Facebook, but I'm wondering if DailyPaul can change the image the other sites link to. Thanks.

Opengraph meta tags
For the site devs: you'd need to add Opengraph meta tags in the page header with a few default images to choose from. See the "Sharing Rich Media" section of this page:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/share/
For example, a few tags (you can have multiple instances) such as this:
<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.dailypaul.com/files/j_logo.jpg" />
<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.dailypaul.com/files/images/ron-paul-2012b.jpg" />
Not hard at all if you have access to the site header HTML/PHP code. I'm pretty sure the DP website is powered by Joomla.
