Fellow Christian Leader (A letter written by Emmy Award winning Justin Machacek)
Submitted by Zak Carter on Tue, 05/01/2012 - 15:40"Recently, I have had the great opportunity to sit down with Dr. Paul to discuss his Christian faith and worldview, along with abortion, Israel, religious freedom, the IRS’s pressure to silence free speech through the threat of 501c3 status, the War on Drugs, and his willingness to speak more directly with Evangelicals nationwide. His clarity and understanding was profound leaving those of us on the call with a new respect for a man many have overlooked this primary season. I’ve attached several of Dr. Paul’s quotes from our most recent conference call with evangelical pastors and leaders. Please take a little time to review them.
One very important thing that stood out to me in our call was Dr. Paul’s understanding of the bible. He spoke clearly about the Levitical law, referred to Jesus in the temple, and used the term “we” when discussing the potential persecution of Christians based on recent legislation like the NDAA. He put a specific importance on personal spiritual decisions and recognized not only that our rights come from God, but also that God draws us to Himself through love and persuasion.
One of the Christian businessmen present on the call said of the experience, “Dr. Paul makes Ronald Reagan look like an average conservative. The complete media blackout from both seemingly liberal and conservative outlets has made it very difficult to get his message out to the masses. In reality his views have a constitutional appeal that cuts across party line and captures the ideals of independents. There can be little doubt that if evangelicals were made aware of his views and heard first hand his explanations on abortion, gun rights, gay marriage, our monetary system, defense etc… that the move towards the RP camp would be dramatic. His consistency over the past 30+ years and his clairvoyance of events is simply unprecedented.”
Another leader said, “Most vivid to me was the stark contrast between the information we received from the conference call, compared to the sparse 30-second sound bites we all heard during the heavily biased Presidential debates. What emerged from my point of view was a man who stood tall on critical issues important to every thinking American… At a time when our entire way of life is in jeopardy of being irreparable compromised, on this conference call Dr. Paul emerged as a thoughtful and responsible leader that was never allowed to shine through during the recent debates."
If you are like us, and millions of other Americans, who are still not enthusiastic about nominating a moderate like Mitt Romney then you’re likely looking for an alternative. Evangelicals for Ron Paul would like to remind you that there is still a viable opponent in the Republican primary race. We urge you to take another look, or for some a first look at the only remaining protestant Christian left in the GOP primary. Now that Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich have effectively ended their campaigns for the white house, our hope and prayer is that you will thoughtfully consider supporting Dr. Ron Paul this primary season. Your participation in joining evangelicals for future calls & web seminars, evaluating Dr. Paul’s statement of faith, submitting thoughtful policy questions/concerns, and reading through the quotes from our recent conference call with evangelical leaders would be a great help to our cause. The fight is not over and ultimately, win or lose Evangelicals can still vote their morals and conscience without regret this primary season. We hope to have the largest delegate count possible at the Republican National Convention so that true conservatives, freedom lovers, and modern defenders of life and the constitution have a loud voice to influence the party platform and hold any nominee to those same conservative values.
Many in the media have declared this race as over and Mitt Romney as the presumptive nominee. However, this race is not over until Romney has secured the nomination with 1,144 delegates. You may not be aware that Ron Paul has now won the states of Iowa and Minnesota. He is also doing very well in the delegate counts of Colorado, Maine, Alaska, Nevada, Missouri, and Washington. When the delegates are tallied, Ron Paul will most certainly be on the ballot in Tampa and can win the nomination as long as Mitt Romney does not gain the majority of delegates beforehand. Evangelical Christians can unite to nominate a real conservative to draw a stark contrast and defeat President Barack Obama in November.
Thank you so much for your time in considering this very important cause. We owe it to our country to evaluate the facts of every potential nominee. Please review the quotes from our call, the information on our blog, and RSVP regarding your willingness to evaluate Dr. Ron Paul’s candidacy for the Republican nomination and participate in a potential web conference with Evangelical pastors & leaders. The race is not over and we hope to gain your support in the upcoming primaries. May our God richly bless you.
In Christ

Changed *House* to *Home*
...because it was obvious from your post that we were talking close knit *home* (g) Joshua 24:15 popped into my head immediately after reading your post and I felt somewhat blessed by that recognition.
So...God Bless to you and your family and thank you for sharing that little vignette. You will both probably always remember it as "two or more"...your daughter and you ...were in synch on the exchange which gave it strength and it was family in agreement.

Thanks Zak
Wish we could keep this thread up ... and keep it pure. It is about electing the only man in years who truly understands the word "serve" and sets an example for others.
I read this thread right after reading Robin's "Paradigm Lost" and thought how fortunate we are that Jesus did not look at the political and religious paradigm of his day and think nothing could be done about it.
He created a *new* paradigm and what a paradigm it was, is. Pastor Jacobs and Justin have joined Ron Paul in *serving* selflessly to bring about a new paradigm instead of being stuck in another cycle of destruction. It is an intellectual revolution...it is also a spiritual one.
Dr Paul's way is inclusiveness and tolerance as he supports the Constitution. However, to some segments he needs spokespeople and thank goodness for Pastor Jacobs and Justin and others. It is getting exciting!

Thank You Evangelicals 4 Ron Paul
This article is so outstanding and if you read more about Justin Machacek, Brian Jacobs and their activities, it becomes clear that their influence could be a game changer in many ways. They need our prayers and support as they are going for a real paradigm shift with segments of the Evangelical Movement They are, like Dr. Paul, making a very courageous stand with their peer group.
What impressions did our gentle, straightforward, steadfast hero make with them? He does not just profess to be a Christian, he lives and is guided by his faith...a very intelligent, well-reasoned faith. He does not push it on others, he demonstrates that he has studied it, ie " One thing that stood out was his understanding of the Bible and Levitical law." He said "we" in talking to these Evangelical leaders. They saw his heart...their truth bells went off. I would go so far as to say they "could not find fault with this good man."
In talking about Jesus in the temple perhaps he also talked about the 'money changers' in reference to the Fed and the Banking Cartel. He demonstrated that personally "In God He Trusts." Justin was left with the strong feeling that if "evangelicals were aware of his real views and heard first hand his explanations on the big sticklers like abortion, gays, gun rights, defense, monetary system, the move toward the RP camp would be dramatic.
Wow. More phone meetings are being set up and their support of Ron Paul is appearing on Christian sites in a favorable manner. Angels are working. Amazing grace is happening. And, what a gift it would be to Ron Paul if he had the support of huge Christian blocks. Seriously, how could the alternative candidates hold a stick to this righteous man with his tolerant, humble forbearing.
Spread far and wide. And, as a side-note...Justin has a lot of incredible talents as an Emmy award winning producer. Perhaps he could produce a video with Ron Paul speaking to and answering questions from church leaders.

Well, this is great...
... but I have nothing but contempt for Christian leaders.
How can anyone be a Christian leader and be so stupid as to overlook Ron Paul's credentials, only to embrace the fake conservatives that ran against him, other than the fact that they themselves are all as phony as $3-bills.
They have been duped by the GOP establishment, because they themselves have duped their flock in believing that they have been called of God to be their leaders (pastors, yah right), when in fact they are worst than snake oil salesmen. I have lost all respect for the clergy. I think Jesus pretty much felt the same about the clergy of His day: vipers, whited sepulchers...

Inappropriate Comment
This is a great article that will have impact on many Christian voters.
I am sorry you feel *contempt* even in reference to an article by good people who recognize Dr. Paul as who he really is and are working to get him elected and explain his true platform to large Christian groups. Christian visitors to this site come to articles like this and it helps the campaign...and ultimately the country.
Jesus did not feel *your way* about about *all* religious leaders and he always took the time to listen and discuss. Yes, he saw the money changers for what they were, but he would go out after lost sheep. Yes, sheeples.
Ron Paul's brother is a minister and he and his family have been around ministers all their lives. They feel no *contempt* I can assure you.
Feel how you feel, but please don't *type-cast* people according to your experiences unless it is your intent to turn people away from voting for Ron Paul.
Your post did not represent Ron Paul or the majority of his supporters who come from many religions and even some with no religion. This is about unity in diversity and saving our country. It is not about divisiveness or contempt.

Evangelicals deception!!
..When they come to take away your right to spread the gospel...who will you blame...freedom OF religion is what it says...NOT freedom FROM religion....that also gives anyone the right to worship dirt or martians...no worries...but for myself and other evangelicals...my right to speak the truth to love is held in place by the first amendment......for the love of God...Christians take off the blinders of deception that have been perpetrated by war mongering Neo-cons....see Dr. Paul for who is really is...a man of God who truly understands our freedoms and how those freedoms derive from our Creator!
Your rights to declare the gospel are *not only in*
the First Amendment but are declared in Daniel 6:8-13, and Acts 4:1-18 (but specifically 18) If it requires Peaceful Civil Disobedience, (Hereafter PCD) so be it. However, we should continue to strive to prevent the necessity of PCD from happening. If we wake up enough sleepy Christians to the R3V07UTION, it may not.
But that man should play the tyrant over God, and find Him a better man than himself, is astonishing drama indeed!~~D. Sayers
