Fox's Bret Baier is a LIAR!Submitted by stm on Tue, 05/01/2012 - 22:43
Bret THINKS he's explaining the 'natural born citizen' requirement and there are sooo many holes in his fable it's ridiculous. First and foremost, he doesn't mention the status of the 'father' and basically says the mother's status is what counts. Sure - Hitler's or Stalin's illigitamate kid would make a great POTUS!
But the biggest lie is this:
"And as I wrote in the blog.. there is vigorous legal debate about the term... so we need to talk about it... until the Supreme Court weighs in..."
Bret, you rube, there are 4 SCOTUS cases defining NBC.
First and foremost is The Venus, 12 U.S. 8 Cranch 253 253 (1814)
where Justice Livingston, in the unanimous decision, quoted from Vattel's Law of Nations.
The others are:
Shanks v. Dupont, 28 U.S. 3 Pet. 242 242 (1830)
Minor v. Happersett , 88 U.S. 162 (1875)
United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898)
He's doing this to 'prove' Rubio is elligible even though both his parents were Cuban nationals at the time of his birth. There really is only one party - the Republicrats.
Oh, and the site says you need to 'login' to post a comment, but I couldn't login and I couldn't even email. They seem to have shut those functions down.
What a terrible network. I can't believe I ever watched it. There are going to millions of idiot folk now saying, "Rubio and Jindal are both elligible! Fox told me so!'
