Newt Gingrich $4 Million in Debt; Staffers and Creditors Fume

Newt Gingrich ends his White House dream today with his political committee facing a mountain of debts -- owing about $4 million to scores of businesses and campaign workers around the country who fear they will never get paid.

Campaign watchdogs said the size of Gingrich's debt is extraordinary -- and could have been avoided if the candidate and his team had been more disciplined.

"He was reckless in running up these bills, especially in the last month or so of the campaign when it was quite clear that Mitt Romney would be the nominee," said Craig Holman, a government affairs lobbyist for the watchdog group Citizen Union.

NICE!

"Help may be on the way. USA Today reports that Gingrich, in an interview, said he is embracing Mitt Romney's candidacy, and Romney and the Republican National Committee have offered to be helpful in retiring Gingrich's debt."

So in other words, they're buying his support! I'm sure he's not "appalled" at that. I can only hope that his supporters and staffers see what other candidates run their campaigns recklessly into debt (just like Romney), and who on the other hand is never in debt (Ron Paul). THAT'S CONSERVATIVE!

now I 'get' that cognitive dissonance is the norm in this nation

but really, eventually doesn't one clearly have to admit to oneself that a few significant things that one does in life, are indicative of their personal values, and reflective of things they're likely to do in other areas as well?

If you run a campaign deep in debt to the tune of $4+ MILLION in the red, shouldn't that telegraph to ANY sane, critical thinking human that, that is how Grinch AND Santorum WOULD run the govt, as well, especially considering the fact that they BOTH have a long established public record of fueling deficit financing while they were in govt in the past?

Rhetorical of course; one would actually have to be a sane critical thinker to gauge that obvious reality. As we all know, they're mostly no emotionally mature than a 2 year old.

Dr. Paul is as consistent as ever, of course. Always honest. Always transparent. Always respectful of his constituency's wealth, and treat and manage it frugally as if it were his Great Depression-era self's own personal account.

Talk about a blatant in your face...

...pay off.

Here in your face is yet more scandalous corruption and graft in this paragraph saying the mintney is going to pay off the newtster for his support, and delegates. This is the kind of corruption that runs rampant in both parties. This kow-towing to the god money that has it's way over everyone who worships it.

SCAM!!!

"...USA Today reports that Gingrich, in an interview, said he is embracing Mitt Romney's candidacy, and Romney and the Republican National Committee have offered to be helpful in retiring Gingrich's debt."

Like that word "retiring" aye!

Or said truthfully, the romulan and the gop will pay off newts debts to get his supporters and his supportive voice. Why does the gop pay for things to benefit the losing mitney, and not Ron Paul?

Did you all see this pig newt at the WH dinner sitting in there with the media slime and bought and paid for bankster big wigs? He and sanitarium were at that dinner sucking it up with the rest of the criminals aligned against everything Ron Paul is and stands for.

What does that tell the average American who supported them? That all your wasted votes, money, and time went to that group of sleazebags at the WH dinner party. Or in essence, the energy you all gave to the newtster and sanitarium campaigns was really for the soterobama administration. Just as sure as a vote for romney, is a vote for obama.

So this paragraph also says to those who supported these two clowns; we will just retire all your energies and wasted monies that you foolishly sent to these two puppet players that were and are still working with the same trash that employes them all. They all suck the bankster poodles tail and there will be NO changes unless the people make this last peaceful effort to take the power away from this corrupted slime stream propaganda media machine, and these criminals in govt that laugh at you like they did at this dinner. If you have not seen this group of scum bags all laughing at Jimmie Kimmel as he lays it down, and the two puppets smirking at this dinner, watch to see the real ha-ha on you America that is going on in the backgrounds here.

Shame on them

Shame on them. The Gingrich supporters who will allow Mitt along with GOP and RNC establishment to buy their votes. Gingrich supporters should be reminded that their vote was bought. Retire is debt to obtain his and their support. Shame on all of them.

Newt came through NC a couple

Newt came through NC a couple weeks ago. I found out at meeting last week he let the profit from his event stay with the local gop. They all thought this was great of him (several thousand $ in our district). I wonder how is he going to pay all this debt if he doesn't even take profit from the people who Want to give him money. wonder who will have to bail him out...

No worries

Shi##y Mitty will come to the rescue and make the Newt world a happy solvent place.

Ya..the article states he did

Ya..the article states he did that for another candidate..should be so illegal!!
