MA Delegates WON'T Abstain?!

Is this true?

"But Massachusetts Liberty delegates tell me they plan to honor their commitment to vote for Romney on the first ballot. They say they are not going to Florida with the intention of embarrassing Romney."

They're playing it cool

The MA liberty delegates aren't going to tell this reporter straight-up that they plan on abstaining. Otherwise, the Romney campaign would probably come after them in some way. They're just playing it cool for now and telling the Romney camp what they want to hear.

Don't worry... abstaining on the first ballot at the RNC has been their plan from the start!

Voting this down

Doesn't even make sense

We'll see in Tampa!

I have a feeling we are going to win it fair and square, but they are already planning to use the SS, i mean homeland security to assure we stay a dictatorship.

Then why even go to Tampa

There is an oath to vote for Romney if you are going to vote, there is no oath to just vote.

Ha ha ha....my oath is to my country, not some silly GOP party or some Anti-American candidate like Romney.

I can assure you that these delegates will abstain when the rubber meets the road.

Embarass Romney, are you freaking kidding, Romney won lots of states because the bought and paid media put him there, propaganda, and corrupt establishment tactics. Screw Romney

Not to worry.

Do you think we have gone this far and further just to hand it to "twister" (see J kimmel at wh correspondents dinner) boy. This rag is just pumping out more propaganda to put a bee in your bonnet. I have spoken briefly with F Capone and I dont believe he and the other delegates are putting in long hours of grass roots organizing and spending a great deal of their own money to throw it away in Tampa. They believe the stealth process is a viable approach to achieving our goal....RP as POTUS.

I hate to be the one to bring

I hate to be the one to bring you back to reality...but it is not just Massachusetts. If you are expecting some major abstaining to happen, you are going to be full of tears/

You see...most Ron Paul supporters support Ron Paul. And since he does not WANT them to abstain, they won't.

Sure...some dumb fucks like you who think you know better than Ron Paul still hold out hope, and will be suicidally depressed come August...but most are not like you...thank god.

Luckily they are easily identifiable, but we've had quite a swarm lately - I guess that means we're on to something.

"I hate to be the one to bring you back to reality"

Well it shows, because you've done such a shitty job at figuring out what that is exactly to start with.

Hey 25 min member

where did RP say not to abstain. You cannot stop the Liberty Train buddy...go away. nice language by the way.

"Freedomless, Will work for Liberty"

Suicidally depressed???

This whole “situation” apparently has got your ‘ol panties in a bunch, right “Randy”???
And Dr. Paul doesn't want RNC delegates to abstain because why? LMFAO
What Dr. Paul wants, and what we are going to do, is win, and for the sake of your unfortunate, but innocent relatives, I do hope you decide to seek professional help in dealing with your (aforementioned and psychologically-projected) soon-to-be-forthcoming “suicidal depression”.
—we wish you the best.

Ron Paul Children, Behave :)

I liked this part near end:

"The question for the Romney campaign is what will make these delegates happy enough to behave. It is not yet at all clear that a speaking slot for Paul, and an "audit the Fed" plank in the party platform, will be enough."

This is not going to be appreciated by some here

If the law or the local GOP says that a delegate from MA must vote for Romney on the first or subsequent ballots and you take an oath do do such -- that is what you have to do. On the other hand if they have enough sway at the state convention to suspend the rules, appoint a new chairman and get the delegates unbound then that would be the way to go.

Mass. state law only has two

Mass. state law only has two penalties spelled out for violating party rules and not binding. The first is $100 fine or 1 month in jail. The other is that the Mass. Attorney General may initiate a civil suit against you. The second is the more applicable of the law.

Thanks for Spelling That Out

However, we are in a Revolution.
Rules are made to be broken.
Ya gotta break a coupla eggs to make an omelet..
..and, the Founding Fathers risked their LIVES.

I'd do a chip-in to pay a crummy fine.

Thanks again for the info.

I would take a bullet for Ron Paul

So a month in jail or a small $100 fine would not scare me the least from voting my conscience. The second punishment of a possible civil action is the one that applies to Chapter 53 of Mass. law that governs how delegates are supposed to vote at national conventions. Since those conventions take place outside of Massachusetts, I doubt their state laws could be applicable to someone's actions in another state. I mean, its against Massachusetts law to murder someone but if a Mass. resident goes to Florida and kills someone, Florida would have jurisdiction, not Massachusetts. That's why I think the threat of civil action is the more applicable law. However, for the state of Massachusetts to successfully sue a delegate, they would have to show that the delegate's actions caused harm or loss to Massachusetts.

"...violating party rules ..."

Do the rules apply to the ones manipulating the GOP...the ones who whisper in little groups in back rooms how they will do whatever it takes to keep Ron Paul and his supporters out of the race...the ones overheard on national tv saying they have taken care of the Ron Paul votes during the primaries?

Do the rules apply to them too?

The whole proces is a big wad of hypocrisy.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

They have already embarrassed Romney by becoming delegates!

What is worse dishonoring themselves or Romney? They should rethink this decision.

double agents?

You think the Romney camp is sending in double agents? reverse stealth stealthers?

a nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat

Lol let them believe that

Lol let them believe that crud

To arms! To arms! The Redcoats are coming!

I hope you are right!

I hope you are right!

let me get this straight...

So in order not to "embarrass" Romney, the better choice is to validate the lying and misleading Republican establishment and MSM?

This is very depressing.

This is very depressing. Would these delegates really be willing to throw away Ron's chances?

Not if they are true blue RP supporters

I don't think a true RP person would do that, unless family or job was threatened.

Why not?

He embarrasses me all the time, and I'm just in the same country with him.

"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."

LOL. Good one. I think at the

LOL. Good one. I think at the state conventions they should try to vote to unbind themselves. Give "anyone but Romney" speeches, etc. Tie Ron to the actual GOP mission statements..etc...

And keep stressing in those speaches the fact that

ROMNEY CAN'T WIN IN THE GENERAL ELECTION!
