Car Rally

I believe the Revolution is missing a major opportunity to get Ron Paul's name out.....perhaps the best way of the entire campaign.....and just the medicine to put the good Dr. over the top.

I mentioned a parade in an earlier post, but really meant a car rally. The best way to get voters is to make them aware of Ron Paul....and then have people follow it up on the ground with more details once people know the name. Once they are familiar with the name, they are far more likely to do research or pay attention to someone that presents information about him.

Soooooooooooo, what we need is a bunch of meetups to organize a car rally for their particular area. They would map out a route and time where the most exposure would occur. They would have 10, 20, or hundreds of cars decked out with Ron Paul signs and follow each other in a line. The planned route would ensure that people would not get misplaced from the group.

Never before has this been possible as there has never been a candidate in history where this many people would sacrafice their time to do such an event (and very easy to do). And for the people that don't like standing on a street corner waving signs, this would get them involved. Have a picnic or barbecue after to increase supporters ......and as the good Dr. says, have fun!

Nobody will complain that you're littering with signs on posts or the highway.

Yep, been in sales my whole life and am absolutely positive this will be huge. Please give it a try in your area and post results.

To True_believer, this might work for your college campus that you've had trouble infultrating. Maybe you can get some decorated cars together and drive around campus to get out the initial message to "loosen up" the resistance.

Please add your comments.

Thanks

good idea

love to see some pictures, make it happen.

Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.

Mustang Club, Corvette Club, GTO Club, etc.

A Classic Car show for the Classic Constitutionalist?

Is there a hook for Car Club members? Cheap Gas--get rid of the Fed, get rid of inflation; get out of the Mideast, lower OPEC oil price?

What about Tuners--Liberty? Freedom? Tuners for Paul?

Any Tuners or Car Club members out there who have any ideas on appealing to these groups?

Oh now see, even if they

Oh now see, even if they burn fuel, I LOVE the idea of old American classics.

Taking an old thing, restoring it, and loving it is exactly what this whole thing is all about.

I think this is AWESOME,

I think this is AWESOME, but...

(from the other thread)

if every auto at the event was retro fitted to burn grade A American frier oil, I think it's a neat idea. AND the place would smell like fried food. Yumm.

But otherwise I think our entitled position on consuming fuels all nilly willy is one of the tools the system uses to play with us.

Those cars burn fuel that gives money and power to the "bad guys".

btw, if you want a bunch of cars that burn grade A American frier oil for a Cleveland thing, you might want to inquire with some of the good folks in Oberlin Ohio. We got a bunch of those things driving around town.

MMMM fried foods! =)

This is definitely going to be great news

Something like this can be done on Feb 1st to coincide with the moneybomb. You know even 10-15 cars going out together and taking a round of the city will catch a lot of attention.

Road Rally

We finally had our local road rally today and am pleased with the results. We had some horn honking and many stares. In an area (Naples, FL) where one in twenty know Ron's name, this should go a long way in name recognition. I will be asking many in next few weeks to see if his name recognition is improved since the rally.

It is simply one of the most effective and inexpensive ways to get Ron Paul noticed.....and a lot of fun. We had just ten vehicles, but two were vans with big banners. It rained some and downtown was closed for an event, but still think was very effective. We drove through some parking lots and malls where pedestrians couldn't miss us. We tried to keep to minimum speed limits for easy viewing.

I took a few pictures but don't know how to post here or if possible.

Please try this in your area and report results. Do make a map for all and have people on cell phones communicating to keep together as best as you can as traffic lights make it a little challenging. I hope to do more of them before the primaries.

We've done this in Los

We've done this in Los Angeles on 4th of July. Make sure you plan this well and give every car a map. Have fun.

What was the response and how many vehicles?

Thanks

Good idea Bob!

I like your idea and I can see RP supporters on campuses and across the land "fixing" their bicycles up with streaming banners off the back and such. Banners saying google RPand having pouches with some homemade brochures to hand out as they ride along. Or motorcyles as well. Might want to be careful with any streaming RP banners though.

Thank You Doug

Yes, not limited to cars.....anything that moves. As long as there are numerous, it will be impactful vs. just one or a few. We need to show that there's an army of us out there.
