New delegates: May 15th is the deadline to file in MichiganSubmitted by David A Dudenhoefer on Thu, 05/03/2012 - 11:11
If your interested in helping us win over districts in Michigan to Paul supporters, and you live in the state (obviously), than May 15th is the deadline to file.
In our state delegates serve a 2 year term, and are elected ahead of presidential caucuses. This means for example, this years conventions are picking delegates to attend the state convention and eventually the national convention, who were elected as delegates 2 years ago.
YES, if your not a current delegate, you could be seated at the end of tonight's county conventions. But more than likely you would be an alternate. Still, we will have a presence.
So, in addition to organizing for all 14 county conventions, we have had to contend with redistricting,(a drop in population has resulted in a loss of one district), getting to know new faces, and having to prepare for the next cycle by recruiting new delegates.
Get to your city clerks office, or county clerks office and ask for the affidavit of identity for precinct delegates.
Then let us know at the above sites, when you have done it.
