Officials 'FRANTIC' Over Ron Paul Supporters Seizing Control of GOP

Steve Watson | Infowars.com

If Paul can score a plurality of delegates from five states, his supporters could nominate him from the convention floor. At this stage a brokered convention remains highly unlikely. However, with a strong showing among delegates the Congressman’s supporters hope to secure a speaking spot for Paul and some control over the party platform.

Josh Putnam, a professor of political science at Davidson College and expert on delegate procedures, told TPM that Paul’s supporters should “easily” reach the required threshold of delegate pluralities, and warned that the effects could be far reaching.

“Broadly speaking, I don’t think anyone has a firm handle on how deep this goes,” Putnam told TPM. “This is a headache for Romney and they’ll have to deal with it at some point.”

Republican officials are warning that Paul’s supporters are seizing control of the party at the State level.

“It’s down to a matter of trust,” Craig Robinson, a former political director of the Iowa Republican Party told The Hill.

“If you’re the Romney campaign, can you trust the Iowa GOP to work with you? If this delegation is going to go down to the Florida convention and cast their votes for Ron Paul, I think the answer is no. I wouldn’t blame the Romney campaign for being skeptical of working with the Iowa GOP.”

Bad GOP dog. Bad

This is garbage

Who wrote this article ....

Dana Bash from CNN or was it the half witted dickhole Brent Budowsky from the Hill. This is little more than the standard cookie cutter msm drivel that has been used to marginalize Paul for months now.

When Mitt Romney was asked in

When Mitt Romney was asked in a Republican debate,if he was president, what would he do about the Fed.he replied, I am not going to take my effort and focus on the Fed. AS Ron Paul pointed out in his book,END THE FED most Democrats and Republicans won't either. The Fed has been more and more power If nothing happens to change this it will be because of what is in Judge Andrew P. Napolitano's book, A NATION OF SHEEP is true. There are two men our founders would be proud of and it isn't Obama or Mitt Romney. You would think America would learn from what Myer Anschel Rothschild said,"Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation and i care not who makes the laws. It is pitiful that so many are incapable of critical thinking at a time when it is most needed. Not getting this

Isn't the whole idea to compete, supporters to work for their candidate, etc., etc. Why was there no angst over these state GOPs not "working with" Ron Paul? Why was that not fair? Paulians play by the GOPs own rules but then they want to change the rules so they maintain power. Stinking commies, liars and theives. We need the Old Right, true conservatism, back and these Neocons run back to the Nazi party where they belong.

No offense but

This article reads like a typical MSM article claiming Ron Paul has no chance and maybe he'll be lucky and get a little speaking role. Get real. He already has secured the majority of delegates in more than the 5 states needed, for those of us who have been paying attention.

Robinson is correct. It is a matter of trust. We the People do

NOT trust the present GOP leadership.

They have repeatedly shoved big government liberals down our throats.

We don't want another LAME ASS candidate like 2008. Romney will get creamed by Obama. I suspect it will be worse than McLame's loss.

We don't want another corporatist in the White House.

We don't want another war monger.

We don't want another SOCIALIST. (can you say "RomneyCare?")

We want someone with integrity.

We want someone with honesty.

We want someone with a moral compass.

We want someone with knowledge.

We want someone with understanding.

We want someone WHO CANNOT BE BOUGHT. (and certainly hasn't already sold out)

We want RON PAUL - or we don't care who you nominate - it will make no difference in the course this nation is on - off a cliff.

We DO NOT trust you GOP.

That's why we are taking our party back.

You neo-cons have had fun running us towards fascist tyranny long enough.

The gig is up.

You can go quietly, or you can go with fan-fare.

But you will be gone.

We will replace you.

Your fat lady has already belted her tune.

It's time you realized it and moved on.

Ron Paul Is Surging More Than Ever...Why? The People Don't

Want Romney.. They are searching for someone to get us out of this mess and they know Romney has no clue....They know Ron Paul can do it..It's that simple..

The people are waking up...BIG TIME!

They don't believe Romney's Bullsh#t! They never have..All of Romney's support was artificial, generated by the VOTE FRAUD and GOP dirty tricks..

It's Ron Paul going to Tampa with a full head of steam and BEYOND!

Don't even fret over this

Don't you think the Old Conservatives saw the neocon attempts? This is about will and organization. We have both.. Push on and our kind will be sitting in the seats they were meant to be in.

Kill them with kindness if that's your way but kill them! :)

We need to force one more debate...

One-on-one....Paul v. Romney.

If that happens you KNOW Romney will shoot himself in the foot, big time, and we will sweep the remaining states.

I can not believe the paid staff is NOT INSISTING ON A DEBATE.

Even if we get a "NO" out of Romney, we SILL WIN.

"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."

There's supposd to be a debate in Texas later this month.

I wonder if it has been cancelled since Santorum and Gingrich dropped out?

Forget about a debate.

The GOP/Romney will never submit to a debate, because if they do so, they undermine their strategical (and false) position that there already is a republican nominee.

That is what I suspect. I don't think Romney would be inclined

to damage the perception of his presumptive status by debating Paul.

I was just curious if it had been officially cancelled or not.

Political Collapse

I am sensing it is only a matter of time before they start fighting each other within the establishment. It only takes one or two important people to turn against them and then the whole thing will come down on their head. Keep swimming.

Give it some time...

As we continue to stand our ground, they're being forced to break their own rules and change them along the way. But when we get in the white house and start cleaning house, they'll start abandoning their NeoConrads in order to try and stay relevant. But it won't work, we have them on record voting for the NDAA, CISPA, Raise of the debt ceiling, Patriot Act, etc. And we'll kick them all out for their bloody treachery. By the time we're done, you're gonna see a very empty Capitol Hill. Every government will try it's best to stay in power. We have a chance to change things in Tampa and get Paul elected. I don't know why they say a brokered convention is highly unlikely. Someone needs to explain that a little more. In order for a brokered convention to take place, doesn't both candidates have to have a lot of delegates? What we have to do is keep Romney from getting 1,144 delegates before the convention right?

Ron Paul - Intellectual hero

The media

are embarrassed that the caucus states aren't ending up in agreement with the beauty contests. Ron Paul's campaign is an honest campaign which honestly knows the rules of the game. Of course it has delegates!

I am now more confused than ever.

If there are enough delegates in the crowd to nominate Paul from the floor, why then is it a far stretch to think that he cannot win? Is the media spin trying to tell us that the Paul supporters will sell out Paul and eventually vote Romney? If they think Romney has the 1144, then would they even be speaking of Paul at all? If we have the delegate to nominate him from the floor, then how is a brokered convention unlikely?

Someone please explain this to me as I am loosing my mind trying to defend Paul through these claims that he still is unlikely even though he will be on the ballot...

Always remember:

Anyone who understands the process knows better, and knows that right now, Ron is in an excellent position not only to be placed into nomination so there is a vote, but every contest the odds improve that he just might force a second ballot as he gathers more and more delegates.

Alex Jones

admitted yesterday that he didn't fully understand the delegate process. The folks at prisonplanet/infowars probably need to do a little studying. It's a complicated subject.

Bottom Line

Do what you can do. Of course he can win. He admits it's unlikely, but Romney could shoot himself in the foot before the convention.

The point is that the better Ron Paul's support, the more lasting effect we can have. Congress needs to grow a backbone, and we're doing that by taking over the levers of power.

The qualifications to be nominated are small compared to those for winning. There is simply a feeling on the part of the power-brokers that it "looks better" to the general public if the GOP appears to be unanimous behind their candidate, even if that's a total sham.

Frankly, if Ron Paul does not get the nomination, then it would be better to let Obama win and take the blame for the coming crash, and have Congress revolt, taken over (and influenced) by our huge showing at the convention.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

It's called "spin".

The RNC and their lap-dog media are spinning the story to make it seem that RP cannot win, and is simply a mischief-maker.
However, if that were true, and RP couldn't win, then they wouldn't need to spin out these stories against him.

There is a real chance that we can win it.
It's not a sure thing, but we might.
And if we don't, we will be the biggest pain in the A$$ the RNC has ever had.

Losing always sux

I can't imagine anyone in party politics moving aside graciously. Cornered animals get vicious. I think cheating and lying ought to be expected---don't take it personally. Let's just win anyway.

WE the People

Need to put the GOP on notice that they need to step up to the plate and start supporting Ron Paul and the American Citizens instead of the establishment of warmongering murderers. Rombama cannot win against obomney. They are one in the same. It's time to stop the corrupt and lawlessness that is being foisted on the American People NOW.
Put it in writing and send it to the GOP.
