Gary Johnson: Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate/C-SPAN callers mention Dr. PaulSubmitted by JCole on Sat, 05/05/2012 - 16:09
I happened to turn on C-SPAN right after Gary Johnson was chosen as the Presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party. At that time C-SPAN was taking telephone calls and asking for callers to identify their party affiliation. Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents were all participating. Almost every caller said they were tired of the two-party system, that the Republican and Democrat parties were nearly identical and did little to better the lives of the American citizen. For this reason they were going to give a closer look to Gary Johnson and the Libertarian Party. What was interesting was that many, from all party affiliations, stated that they were hoping the Republican Party would see the light and nominate Ron Paul. This leads me to believe that if Dr. Paul can secure the Republican Party nomination, followed by a campaign effort to distinguish how Dr. Paul differs form the old Republican neocon establishment, he should have no problem being elected as our next President. The realization that we are slaves to our government, and the craving for liberty and freedom, are beginning to present themselves more and more in the public discussion. The time is ripe for a Paul presidency!
