I have a question about the Maine convention. Important

It appears as if most of the Romney people didn't even show up today.

What constitutes a required quorum in Maine? Does anyone know?

Also, if the actual delegates to this convention did not show up why are we not appointing Ron Paul alternates to take their place right now?

a quorum

would be 50 plus 1 of whoever comes back to reconvene the convention.

So it wouldn't be from the original count of people attending at the conventions meeting. At the same time, unless there is someone to question the quorum, it won't matter.

Maybe and maybe not, usually

The bylaws dictate as to what is required to constitute a quorum.

Maybe and maybe not, usually it is no less than 50 plus 1 of the actual delegates originally selected to be part of the state convention, this is why there is always the same number of alternates as their are delegates to replace delegates that do not show up so that the convention has a required quorum to conduct official business. If you don't have a required quorum, you don't have an official convention.

Its the job of your BPOU Chair or Vice Chairs

to seat alternates when the regular delegates are not present.

Well

I do not think it will matter at this point.

We have won the 15 at large delegates and it seems we will win the 6 congressional delegates as well.

All delegates are unbound.

We have the majority on the floor.

What else is needed? Am I missing something?

To arms! To arms! The Redcoats are coming!

If they do not have the

If they do not have the required number of people present as delegates to have a constituted quorom then everything they are doing right now could be null and void if contested.

This is extremely important.
