First, Texas GOP would go ape shit if Romney didn't show, on top of that the religious leaders are 100% ticked off that Santorum quit, they got conned and they know it. They should have went with Paul all along, I think that will help Paul in Indiana and Texas, very religious conservative states.
As far as I know, there is no endorsement from Santorum, if Mitt -max headroom-Romney wins, Santorum will "pitch in", to help him. Otherwise, if Santorum is going to be on the campaign trail for Mitt, why not just campaign for himself.

They must have promised him 2016 or 2020 or threatened him. He was crazy to have left and it was not because of his daughter, because she was sicker in February and he didn't drop out.

I still don't understand why he quit. It made no logical sense at all. A threat makes more sense, because a promise would not be believable. He seemed like he believed himself when he said this was the most important election of our lifetime. But it is possible that he thinks the status quo will still be in place in 2016.
