My letter to the editor got published!

I'm doing all that I can to get the vote out for Paul in NC, and I recently wrote two letters to the editor, one to the High Point Enterprise and one to the Lexington Dispatch. The Enterprise published it, and I'm rather excited about it. Only one solidly anti-Paul comment, one that's "meh" about him, and two that are enthusiastically supporting him.

waaay to go

we need more letters sent to local papers / local media.

How many ordinary people are going to bother to send letters in support of Romney?
Zilch, except any manufactured by Romney campaign people.

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

God bless you patriot.

That's all I can say.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Think I may do the same

Think I may do the same thing!!!

I hope plenty of people read it and look into Dr. Paul. Way to go!

Thank you, Drake.

You are a patriot...in the vein of of the Founders themselves.

That editorial ROCKS by the way.

We WILL win this. The fight has just begun.

Wonderful letter

and I read all the comments. I do hope those Ron Paul supporters who commented are representative of many more voters in NC.

No matter what happens Drake, stay involved. The freedom movement is on the move and will not stop regardless of what happens in the next few months. It is young people like yourself who are going to make a difference this year and years to follow. Spread the message to other youngsters like yourself. So proud of you!!

Great Job

It appears that the Revolution is growing by leaps and bounds....By November perhaps the vaste majority of the voters in this country will allow Dr Paul to bring us back to a Republic, which is how our forefathers tried to prevent what is happening right now, and give us back our Freedoms and Liberties!

"Let it not be said that we did nothing"
~Ron Paul

Great Editorial

Thanks for writing you local paper and thanks for going over your ballot options for tomorrow. Other than the different congressional district, our ballots look alike!

revolution growing in nc

I have bought lunch for at least 8 family members so they would put up with hearing about the liberty point of view. I am proud to say that I personally registered or changed registration to republican (at least temporarily) for 5 people and have 6 people voting for Paul who otherwise would have not known about him. That being, said there is a formidable contingent of people who take rush seriously but our numbers are growing. The misinformation about Dr Paul is mind-bottling but if one can do the research for 6 there is a way

What does Rush say about Ron Paul?

I listen to Rush occasionally but have not heard him speak about Ron Paul. Is he turning people off to RP?

He stopped spewing

He stopped spewing hypocritical hate an marginalization after enough primaty "losses" gave rush some room to continue ignoring dr paul

WOW...that was very good NC!

WOW...that was very good NC! :)

Thanks, guys

for all the support! I did *not* expect so many responses, but thank you! Sadly, I can't comment on the Enterprise for some reason, but y'all are kicking some serious butt!

My dad and I have been researching various non-presidential candidates all evening, and this is the list so far...

Paul Wright for governor - he actually had the guts to mention Agenda 21 (and his opposition to it) on his website, and he seems like a very pro-freedom candidate.

Scott Keadle for Congress (he's slightly hawkish, but it's not a major part of his platform, and his economic plan looks like a carbon copy of the Plan to Restore America.).

Probably Dan Forest for lieutenant governor (tenth amendment guy!).

Most likely Mike Beitler for Secretary of State, simply because he stresses free markets more.

Probably Steve Royal for treasurer, due to his opposition to the Fed.

Not a stellar lineup, but far from terrible, I'd say.

Oh, and I'm not sure who to vote for as the GOP nominee... probably that Ron Paul guy. ;)

STEVE ROYAL for certain (NC Treasurer)

(...and Causey for insurance comm)
Believe it or not I was driving down the road and saw a house with lots of Paul signs and pulled into the drive. I was met by Steve Royal before even knocking! He took time to explain his views and if you like Paul then you'll like Steve Royal!
I went to my district meeting (as a delegate) and Roche (his competition) walked up to me and we talked. He said he liked the current Federal Reserve system. I asked him where money gets it's value and he believes the value comes from "labor". (so did Carl Marx).
...also Causey agrees with Paul over Mitt. (ins. comm. I think)

You got my vote

That was a fantastic letter!
It doesn't surprise me they accepted it and published it!

I've got tar on my heels too

Love the Tarheel part! And the comments are great, especially the one that says "You need to turn Fox off." My life has greatly improved since I turned it off in 2008 after tuning in one day to see an empty microphone and the caption "BREAKING NEWS: Awaiting Obama's statement on 'Lipstick on a Pig' comment". It's like the Onion has taken over in real life.

great letter

Great letter... added my $.04 in the comments.

Your post on High Point Enterprise

Great response, couldn't of said it better myself.

Local Appreciation

Good to see some like minds from my area speaking out! I live in High Point and the Ron Paul sign in my front yard gets constant sneers from the neighbors. I'll be at the polls bright and early on the northern end of town in the morning to cast my vote for Dr. Paul!

"I am convinced that there are more threats to American liberty within the 10-mile radius of my office on Capitol Hill than there are on the rest of the globe." - Ron Paul

Stirring stuff

I was nearly on my tar heals by the end and I'm not even from NC! A rousing call to action. Well done, Sir!

Well done!

A well thought out, intelligent, and timely letter to the editor in NC. Very well done!

My letters to the editor have never gotten into the paper. The few letters that do appear in favor of RP are always worded in a manner that really don't seem like something a true RP supporter would write. I think the paper writes their own RP letters to the editor...

I was actually worried about that.

Knowing North Carolina, some of the papers - and many, many of those who frequent their forums - are exceptionally hostile to Ron Paul. I'm glad it got through, though, in time for the primaries.

I don't suppose I have to tell you who I'm voting for. ;)

Thanks Drake

and tomorrow NC votes!

Great job - this is the best way to get attention of readers - they read the letters.

Ron Paul ... forever.

Congratulations. You struck a blow for liberty! Great analogy. Great history lesson.
