Look, your first clue might be after you visit your local schools and see how mentally dull all the children are. My children are looked at as virtual geniuses and they are just normal kids. What makes you think that just because 1 in 50 kids gets autism that the rest aren't effected in some way. There are varying degrees of Autism and there are some high functioning kids who are diagnosed with aspergers syndrome that have trouble relating to other people or reading emotions but in all other ways reasonably high functioning. How do you know that IQ's haven't been depressed across the board. Allergies are through the roof now and the rate of autism and Alzheimers are climbing every year. Isn't it interesting that the highest demographic to get vaccines are the elderly and the very young.

Studies show IQ's are rising steadily across the board. We are gradually getting smarter. Kids these days are much better at handling visual information and multitasking.

Your personal judgement and slightly insulting. I just see a failing and badly funded education system coupled with parents that are more detached from their children, leaving it to the TV and internet to raise them.

Is there really no doubt? It may very well be the case, but that appears to be a dogmatic statement to me, much like the "vaccines cause autism" argument is. I would say correlation probably does not equal causation on both accounts. Sorry to nit pick, but many arguments that include the phrase "no doubt" usually border on tautology and/or sophistry.

I don't think IQs can rise across the board. IQ is a standardized score, with 100 being the mean.
IQ's aren't growing. The tests are getting easier.
And vocabulary is shrinking. But I agree with you that TV and video games have limited their learning. You learn much more from doing things yourself rather than watching someone else do things whether it be gardening, writing, or science.

I do agree that you need a healthy mix of activities and that language abilities are getting worse. Kids don't learn to write anymore and that's a big miss in my view. Language is a beautiful thing.

You do know that the FDA is virtually owned by the pharmaceutical companies don't you? And do you really trust planned parenthood Bill Gates who is a big proponent of Vaccines? Do you know what Bill Gates said about vaccines? He said "If we do a really great job with new vaccines, health care, and reproductive services we could lower that (population) by 10 or 15 percent." So tell me! Exactly HOW do you reduce the population using Healthcare and Vaccines. We know reproductive services is code word for abortions.

He's talking about vaccines in relation to population reduction, as a part of better healthcare. Better healthcare leads to lower infant mortality, which in turn leads to parents having less children. In poor countries children are still a way of life insurance. If you can't work anymore, your children will provide for you.. so the more the better. With poor healthcare, a large number of children will die, so the more you have, the better your chances. That's why people in the third world have so many children.
If standard of living gets better, birth rates drop... simple. That's what they mean by reducing the population. It's a poor choice of words.. but posting a short excerpt from a long talk that's meant to summarize and hit a lot of points quickly..that's poor choice of evidence.

Sigh, jumping to conclusions.
Read before down voting.
No doubt the FDA and CDC are full of shit. However, this study is likely bullshit or the article covering it is overly biased. Why?
Do most kids that get vaccines develop autism? Uh no, because most kids get vaccines (whether they should or shouldn't, most do) and most kids don't have autism. However vaccines certainly could increase the risk for autism. But according to the article the vaccine monkeys 'tended to develop symptoms' while the non-vaccinated monkeys 'did not show any.'
So this study is bullshit for one or more of these reasons:
1) Maybe monkeys are a bad model. If no non-vaccinated monkeys got autism, then extrapolations to humans don't make sense as non-vaccinated humans can still give autism. (autism predates vaccinations, although of course the rates have increased)
2) the sample may just be too small to account for the discrepancy noted above in point 1. And you know what small samples mean... unreliable.
3) Again monkeys may be a bad model because it seems more monkeys are developing autism than humans are when given autism. If this is the case, then perhaps in humans vaccines only play part of the role, not the whole role.
Sadly what is needed is broad studies that investigate the link, if there is one. I don't care either way, I just want to know. Sadly the powers at be would probably never let it be investigated because of possible money loss to Big Pharma.

it climbs steadily with the vaccination rate. In 1st world countries, Icelandic children have the lest number of vaccines, and the lowest infant mortality and Autism rate.
The US has the highest number of Vaccines and the highest mortality and Autism rate.

autism is unheard of among Amish/Mennonites, who don't receive vaccinations. The Amish and Mennonite families we know have very bright children. They have a curiosity about them that I don't see in other children.

How do you know for certain
How do you know for certain vaccinations have anything to do with increased reports of autism. As I understand it, the definition of autism has expanded and that has had the net effect of increased use of prescription drugs to treat this so-called "epidemic" of autism.
Seems more logical that the "increase" is driven by big pharma sales than an autistic population rise.
