Sarah Palin Would Be Best VP For Ron Paul

There has been some little bit of thought been put into who would make a good running mate for Dr. Paul's presidential bid, and I believe I have located the absolute perfect person for the job: Sarah Palin, Republican Governor of Alaska, one of the most free states in the country.

As I have thought about this, it has seemed obvious to me that there just aren't a whole lot of Ron Pauls running around out there from which to choose, but a look a closer look at Mrs. Palin reveals a startlingly familiar them to this Ron Paul supporter:

She has strong, rooted family values (she has four children and her husband is a commercial fisherman), was a two-time mayor of Wasilla, one of Alaska's fastest-growing communities, was elected President of the Alaska Conference of Mayors, and is probably the most popular governor in the U.S., with an approval rating in the 90% range!

In addition to being the youngest Governor in the history of Alaska, she is also the first woman to hold that office.

She has publicly complained about fellow Republicans' unethical behavior and references Alaska's Constitution whenever she speaks. Considered a maverick in the GOP, she goes around saying things like: "Fiscally speaking, the private sector can do a better job than government can do." and "Also just trusting individuals to make wise decisions for themselves and families. I have a lot of trust in individuals. I don't trust government nearly as much." She recently signed a bill making it a crime for public servants not to report bribery they know about.

Does any of this sound a bit familiar to a Ron Paul supporter?

Sarah Palin Would Be Best VP For Ron Paul ...

Yeah right, and Charles Manson would be the ideal dinner date for Angelina Jolie.

Now that's funny

even after all these months folks still agree Palin is better off in Alaska
and not anywhere around Ron Paul .....

but if she wants to join the Revolution - kewl!
she just needs to get with the program when it comes to foreign policy!

The only way I'll be going back to the Repbulicrat party...

is to vote for Ron Paul for President. Otherwise, it's all Constitution party for me.

Good for you.

I'm torn--I like Constitution Party best, but the Libertarian Party is the one on my ballot (and might be redeemable if the Barr contamination is fumigated).

The only way I will vote Republican again is if Ron Paul is running for President.

Ron Paul

I dont like Sarah Palin. Period.

What does she have to do with us? Nothing.

The GOP may think that she is their darling. Shame she isn't black, they'd really love her then. Guaranteed 100% chance of the GOP getting their ass kicked again with Sarah Palin even sniffing the ticket. But, that might be their plan.

This is odd you would say this..

Out of all the Republicans Sarah Palin is closest to Ron Paul.

In Fact she was criticized for being friendly with a pro-constitution party and their platform.

She was called a a "kook" for it.

Ron Paul croaks and we end up with the girly version of Bush?

I had to login just to come out against this horribly pathetic idea.

Back when we didn't really know anything about Palin it was 'interesting' to entertain, but after seeing what a disaster she is with McCain it would be completely the WRONG thing to even attempt.

Palin showed her true colors and the only thing she cares about is "Drill Baby Drill" in Alaska.

She's a Neo-con who sold her soul for power and money and she will never get it back.

EDIT: I just realized this was the original post I read way back in the day.

My mistake...

Dead Wrong

Palin is a huge interventionist warmonger.....

everyone here should know that the freedom movement (the philosophy
of Ron Paul) always begins with NON - Intervention ....

Foreign policy leads to everything else - economy - sovreignty - etc....

that is why the establishment Republicans will never give RP or this movement a fair shake ... because war is big business!

while family issues have a place of importance - they are secondary
to upholding / preserving the Constitution and dealing with things as viewed as Global or a Sovreign USA - ending the establishments empire .... bringing ALL troops home from around the world. (Priority)

Palin would not fit well with Ron Paul at all ......

Judge Napolitano would be a much better choice

Regardless, we can't wait until the next Presidential election. Things will get much worse in '09.

Completely Concur

Governor Palin is a whack job, intellectually lazy, war mongering slob, who thinks God has a plan for us in Iraq. Correct me if I am wrong, but I fail to see how this jives with Dr. Paul's non-interventionist Constitutionally based foreign policy. Never mind the fact that she has said nothing about the FEDERAL RESERVE and its private banking cartel as catalyst for our current economic collapse.

Let alone her typical Republican "Family Values" hypocrisy BS.

Moreover, Alaska is like a welfare marm's nirvana, they pay you to live there and have babies for the homeland.

What is peoples fascination with Palin?

The only qualification she has to be governor, is that she looks better in a dress than Giuliani.

Why is she at all deserving

Why is she at all deserving to stand next to Ron Paul and be second in command. She isn't, not in the least. We want somebody that will further the movement, not a flash in the pan airhead.

Would be the wise choice.

Sure, coupling a superficial ignoramus with

intellectual heavyweight Paul to dumb down the ticket -- is that your strategy? I guess you agree with the Repubs/Dems that the American public are fools and can only be courted by entertainment, style, and sound bites.

that the American public are fools....

Has been fairly well established.

..but Palin is used goods. McCain broke her political cherry.

If Ron Paul won the nomination, I would hope he would chose someone that would carry on the freedom movement. Who that would be, I have absolutely no clue but I am sure there is someone out there with as much passion and the same beliefs as Ron Paul.
