Battle for Oklahoma - Santorum Team Sells Out

Rick Santorum is a pro-Life. Mitt Romney is sometimes. Rick Santorum is a social conservative. Mitt Romney is also, sometimes. Rick Santorum wants to repeal Obamacare. Mitt Romney does too (although he created Romneycare – never mind!).

Ron Paul has always been conservative. He has been a Republican Congressman for 24 years (which means he is not a member of the Libertarian Party). I don’t know where “legalize recreational drug use, decimate obscenity laws, and sanction prostitution” comes from, but I do know that we have some drunken political whores running our government, and it’s time for them to go – in both parties. Oh, and Ron Paul is the guy who stands for the right of Israel to determine her own future, and the location of her Capitol, without the interference of our government. He is also the guy who opposes the UN and globalism…

Civility means abiding by the Rules. We plan to – I certainly hope others do, although that would be a change from recent Conventions (Maine? Nevada? Colorado? Missouri? Never mind – nothing to see here..)

For your enjoyment, an email sent to me by a friend.

SUBJECT: RON PAUL'S PLAN TO STEAL OKLAHOMA
From David Van Risseghem, Oklahoma State Coordinator, Rick Santorum For President
________________________________________
If you are a Ron Paul activist, you need not read any further. You already know the things I'm about to say.
This Saturday, in Norman, Oklahoma; Ron Paul's people intend to complete their grand design and add Oklahoma to the growing list of state delegations they already control.
The national media is largely ignoring the recent developments in many state and district conventions.
Rick Santorum won Minnesota, Missouri, Colorado, Louisiana, Iowa, and several other states. But the states I just named are now under the control of Ron Paul, and those delegates intend to vote for Paul regardless of the outcome of their Caucus results.
Oklahoma pledged all their 40 delegates to Santorum, Romney, and Gingrich; on Super Tuesday (March 6th). Ron Paul received less than 10% of the vote and zero pledged delegates.
But when the time came for selecting which individuals will wear those national delegate badges, Ron Paul's activists have already successfully received 9 of the first 15 national delegates from Oklahoma.
Each congressional district was allowed to select 3 national delegates and three of Oklahoma's district conventions (3, 4 & 5) were all controlled by Ron Paul activists. Districts 1 and 2 selected primarily Santorum supporters. Ron Paul's activists attempted a coup at District One and they are now petitioning to vacate the results of District One. Here's an edited video they posted. They redacted portions they don't what you to see. http://goo.gl/mC9aQ
Here's why I'm calling on you….
Dedicated Republicans need to work together to avoid a chaotic state convention this Saturday. The convention needs to select the final 25 delegates and protect the District One delegates. Libertarian forces are plotting to supplant the primary results by selecting an alternative slate of candidates who reflect the agenda of the American Libertarian Party. (http://goo.gl/Y68Jo)
If you are a state delegate, it is imperative that you attend the Oklahoma Republican State Convention, this Saturday. There will assuredly be a passionate struggle for control of the convention, the national delegation, and the party's future. Call your county chairman, to make sure they added you to the delegation list.
Please take a few seconds to RSVP here: http://goo.gl/skNqb , so we can keep you informed of the developments this week.
The Tulsa County Republican Party has already filled up one bus for the trip to Norman, this Saturday. Another supporter has stepped up and offered to provide us another bus for the Santorum Supporters of Eastern Oklahoma, but only if enough interest is evident. We need a "hard count" by Thursday. Please RSVP via this link: http://goo.gl/skNqb
It's time for all values voters to work together to keep our communities safe for the next generation. Several Ron Paul activists want to legalize recreational drug use, decimate obscenity laws, and sanction prostitution. It's time to stand with our allies in the middle east. It's time to restore civility to the Oklahoma Republican Party.
It's been a great honor to work with all of you during this presidential primary season. I don't regret any of it, regardless of what comes next.
God bless you,

David Van Risseghem

FIGURES

It is no wonder SANTORUM is an anagram of 'U NO SMART'

Blessed are the peacemakers

This guy is nuts

[Several Ron Paul activists]

Does he mean 3 or 4?

[want to legalize recreational drug use, decimate obscenity laws, and sanction prostitution.]

None of these are main planks for Ron Paul supporters. We have way bigger fish to fry before we get to fixing these three problems. Again he is clueless.

[It's time to stand with our allies in the middle east.]

What do drugs, obscenity laws (which I don't even know what those are), or prostitution have to do with supporting our allies.

[It's time to restore civility to the Oklahoma Republican Party.]

His whole email is uncivil so he should restore the Republican party and go back to being a Democrat.

Rule 11

The republican party in Oklahoma may not, according to rule 11, materially assist any candidate unless he's unopposed, blah, blah

By running these busses with supporters specifically to assist one or another candidate, it's a violation of Rule 11 as I understand it and there are dire consequences for the entire body of delegates from the state of Oklahoma if this is true. The delegation may be refused their seat at the RNC. ?

Are Sandwiches to be Served on Bus Ride?

Do I get a Sweater Vest when I get to the free hotel?
If I get these freebies, do I have to vote for the Presumptuous Rominee?

The avoidance of sandwich felony prosecution.

Bread and meats will be served separately. Individuals will then volunteer to make sandwiches, thus, as a product of their own labor, the sandwiches will not really be products, per say, but derivatives of volunteer labor and will not exist as a product offered by the Romney campaign but only as a raw material provided by the campaign to volunteers so that they may produce campaign product. But this depends on how state and federal laws define "sandwich". I understand that expert legal counsel will be called in to assist in determining the extent of the sweater vest/sandwich workaround.

RSVP for Rick Santorum!!!

Only takes a few seconds to fill in that information from the link...

Does anyone else know the definition of confusion?

Hey, this new Reality Check

Hey, this new Reality Check by Ben Swann says that delegates are free agents and are not bound to the results of the popular vote.

http://www.fox19.com/story/18305604/reality-check-why-all-rn...

Go crazy and let every RP delegate know about this, it will give them motivation to win.

can somebody help put this in

can somebody help put this in straight talk. are we saying that delgates are actually free to vote their conscience at the FIRST ballot rather than the second ballot as we've been lead to believe?

Yes, absolutely.

The RNC does not recognize a state's ability to "bind" delegates, according to the quoted official.

Not necessarily so....

.......and it's dangerous to go out there and call it a 'sure thing" when it most definitely isn't. The official quoted was speaking to a SPECIFIC situation regarding a delegate's bound status. In 08 in Utah, Mitt Romney won the popular vote so all delegates were pledged to vote for him. However, at the convention, they were told to vote for McCain instead. This one delegate, wanting to KEEP their bound status intact, insisted they were going to still vote for Romney. The official's comment was to try and release her from that obligation. She did not do it and ended up voting for Romney.

So this situation would ONLY be equivalent IF Ron Paul had won Utah and delegates were being encouraged to vote for Mitt instead. It's obviously not that way so this example cannot be used as a precedent.

No matter HOW much I wish we could.........

is this worth investigating

is this worth investigating further? somebody send this over to B. Swann please....

This attitude is driving me nuts...

"somebody send this over to B. Swann please...."

How about you? Maybe you could do it?

So....

Santorum has "suspended" his campaign, yet endorse Romney, and yet his supporters are upset that Ron Paul is taking the states mentioned? Last I checked, Santorum doesn't have the plurality of five states, and will not be up for nomination. Some in his campaign seem to have forgotten that their fearless leader abandoned them.

They seem to have also forgotten that the straw poll means nothing, but the delegate elections mean everything.

Maybe I'm just not that smart but

I don't understand what this guy is trying to pull by "preventing RP people from using devious plot to take over"(let's set aside the accuracy of such statement)... If Santorum is still in the race, sure, I can say that he wants to get delegates for Santorum, but Santorum suspended his campaign... so is this guy trying to get people into the mentality of "against Ron Paul" and vote Romney - Who Santorum was apparently very much against at some point (whether or not he's for Romney now I don't remember)?

Those kind of letters and

Those kind of letters and articles should be used a motivation to defeat the establishment.

That guy is challenging the RP delegates to a battle in their state convention.

I hope that all the RP delegates turn out en masse and win everything there. His tears of sadness will be a sweet thing.

Oh how those tears will taste so sweet as I lick them

from his face...

Actually I think I just barfed a little after that comment.

More to come

I have already posted a follow up to this - an email from the Chairman of the 2nd Congressional District (20% of the state). It's pretty bad too.

There is a flood of lies going out, and they're starting to go anonymous - might be because I have decided to publish their comments in full.

OK - RSVP

Paul supporters of which there are legions, unlike the censored corrupted by the censoring mass media popular vote, should simple RSVP him and get on his slate. Santorum supporters are few and far between. Matter of fact, I have never met a Romney, Santorum, or Gingrich supporter in real life so to me they do not exist.

where is the fact sheet?

I remember seeing the fact sheet someone made on google. We need to send them the fact sheet on where Ron Paul stands and where Santorum stands and maybe they will get it?

Steve Dickson's picture

Fact Sheet

We have about 2000 of them that will be handed out to every delegate to the State Convention on Saturday.

this david guy

this david guy is a total dick ,

this is such a meager understanding of what Dr. Ron Paul stands for:

"Several Ron Paul activists want to legalize recreational drug use, decimate obscenity laws, and sanction prostitution. It's time to stand with our allies in the middle east. It's time to restore civility to the Oklahoma Republican Party."

gimme a break dude,

this guy probably goes home and watches faux newz , cnn and follows up with american idol and so on

I bet he is a self proclaimed state coordinator.

GO RON PAUL!!!

I think we really need..

to start calling these people by their true names. Why not change your heading to read Santorum Activist sell out? Let everyone who mentions Santorum or Romney supporters, start changing it to Romney and Santorum activist. Let's change it every where we post, every article we write, every posting we make. Romney and Santourm Activist have been proven to be liars, cheaters, back stabbers. Start posting it every where.

If.....

"Romney and Santourm Activists have been proven to be liars, cheaters, back stabbers" - then why be polite and condescending?
Just call them what they really are.

Doing my best...

I was going for "catchy headline". Sometimes it's hard to work that in.

Caucus results

I thought Santorum suspended his campaign to avoid a beating in Pennsylvania.

"those delegates intend to vote for Paul regardless of the outcome of their Caucus results."

I'm in Colorado and fortunate to represent 1000s of Colorado voters in Tampa. I'm not bound by Colorado caucus results.

I believe you should send an

I believe you should send an email to all of those recipients quoting some stuff Jesus said , like the part about Loving your enemies and doing good to those who persecute you, etc., and explain that altho Ron is personally against, drugs and prost. and all that other stuff he does not believe laws change morality and states not FEDS should decide. Also say, that compared to Romney, Ron should certainly be the choice of Santorum supporters, being a religious Baptist. Backatcha David. He is just plain wrong and people should hear from the other side.

I love this part...

"Several Ron Paul activists want to legalize recreational drug use, decimate obscenity laws, and sanction prostitution."

Guilty as charged!

Plus, all of those should be governed by the state, if anything. And this is a presidential election. So this man is off topic and does not understand freedom.

Nuff said

Ron Paulers from Oklahoma,

Ron Paulers from Oklahoma, write this guy back, tell him you've been hearing about those "Ron Paul people", ask him how you can help keep those rabble rousers from taking over. Tell him you'll do anything to keep those "drug pushers" from being delegates. He will sign you up on the anti-Paul delegate slate immediately. Then, it's we win = we win, or they win = we win!

As I was heading up my county nominations committee and putting Paulers on the list, this old timer comes up to me and says, "I smell a skunk in here, I think we have some Ron Paul people trying to take over!" I said, "Nah, you think?" We took 15 out of 23 delegate spots, but they think those "Paulers" only took 2 or 3!

Thanks.............

You just made my day with this. lol

What, is this guy a muslim implant?
