Am i the only one who is put off by all the conspiracy crap posted here?

There is only one conspiracy that is factual and thats the news purposely ignoring ron paul.

But im seeing some shady sources of information pop up , things like stuff from alex jones who is largely the rush limbaugh of science fiction radio (dont believe any of it , the man makes too much money for lying outright to millions)

And some even more insane things like fema wanting to put people in deathcamps.

This kind of stuff is hurting the movement and we are being labled all the time as nutjobs for these reasons , i have had multiple people talk to me and say "ron paul supporters? you mean those guys who think bush blew up the trade towers?"

we need to end this.

"There is only one conspiracy"

That is just silly. Show me any major historical event whose course was determined by open discussion among the people...no? That's because almost everything important that ever happens is the result of a conspiracy. What is a conspiracy? A plan that is private among a few individuals, which negatively affects individuals outside that group. That's what we call...all history, forever. It's not strange, most people are followers, sheep, big decisions are made by small groups of elites: for good or ill.

See the introduction to Murray Rothbard's "History of Money and Banking in the United States," for a nice explanation of what he calls the conspiratorial view of history, otherwise known as the non-propaganda version of history.

As for sources of information, the OP is rightly suspicious of Alex Jones. Much as he's done for the movement, he does exaggerate, and occasionally fabricate evidence. Funny thing is, this is totally unnecessary. All the evidence you would ever need to prove the various theories that he pushes (most of them, some are BS) is available in mainstream, professional, scholarly works. An example, you ask? Try the book above, explains the conspiracy involved in the creation of the Fed, among others of importance in American economic and political history.

Alex Jones HIMSELF admitted

Alex Jones HIMSELF admitted that he doesn't believe half the crap he puts on his site. He said he runs a site that talks about conspiracies. So his job isn't to weed out the crap from what he thinks is real. It is to post everything and let his readers decide.

...your tone is as if you're attacking my post above?

But I agree with you. AJ is not a reliable source. He IS an asset to the movement, but if you want reliable info go elsewhere: as I said, no need to surf through the nether regions of the internet (don't even get me started on god like productions or whatever it's called...rubbish), just READ BOOKS, written by historians, economists, etc. It's all there. As H.G. Wells said, it's an OPEN conspiracy. It's really not a secret, unless you're an idiot who can't understand (some) or too lazy to put in the effort (most).

I find it funny how folk arguing against "conspiracy theories" always say something to the effect of: "O yea? Well how could they keep something like THAT a secret, huh?" Umm...they don't, you're just too glued to the retard box in your living room to notice, dig?

Building 7

google it.

I have "googled it" and onl;y

I have "googled it" and onl;y want to SCIENTIFIC pages that make your pages look like idiots.

You mean building 7 that had a HUGE chunk of one side take out by falling debris? THAT building 7?

You mean the building that EVERYONE knew was going to collapse eventually based on the structural damage and fires long before it did? THAT building 7?

Or are you going to bring up that embarrassing (even for idiots like you) piece about how "pull it"is demolition speak for "set off the detonations" even though ZERO demo crews have come forward and said that they have EVER used that phrase before. (Whereas pretty much every first responder/firefighting crew has said that "pull it" to them means, get out and get to safety before the building is going to collapse.

Sorry but being that I am an engineer, I just can't accept asinine "science" from minimum wage pizza delivery people like you.

At this point, you are continuing to argue that 2+2=5 and making yourself less and less of a credibly adult with every word.

True, Y'all should google it.

Science is not a conspiracy. Buildings don't fall down on top of themselves without a catalyst.

No...they don't. But they DO

No...they don't. But they DO fall down "on themselves"( since gravity works...guess how..STRAIGHT DOWN) when a huge chunk of one side has been taken out by a million tons of debris falling on it.

I know, I know...you want to pretend that there was no damage to Building 7 from the two main tower collapses. You want to ignore the very clear evidence of video showing that there was close to a third on one side, including a corner (meaning, huge structural damage)

Don't you EVER talk about science ever again you piece of shit. As an engineer, I wish someone could actually kill you because you are WORTHLESS to this planet. You know nothing about science. You are a mother fucking joke One that is hated by everyone, including your own family.

Does that look like conspiracy theory?

Why don't you give us YOUR explanation for the governments latest actions.

I admit that I read the article with a less than objective mind because everything I've read on "Natural News" website is tainted with unsubstantiated, sensational, pseudoscientific hogwash. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3874804716526&set=a.1...

They're not a "news" site when they answer their own questions with hypotheticals.

One would do better to read the reference list of Wikipedia than this crap.

ppppffffftttt.. you keep

you keep thinking whatever you want bro. Time will be your teacher.

The message of freedom brings people together

Fellow paulites might be at odds with each other if it weren't for the passion we all share for getting paul into the white house and furthering the cause of liberty. It is my prediction when all is said and done, that we will be the most diverse bunch of freedom lovers that you can imagine.

Yes there are people within this movement who feel the government is at a threat level of 10 while others feel it is more of a 4 or 5.. and you know what, that's ok because we are all focused on the prize. And I am proud of the restraint and respect this movement has shown to others in its own circles and to the poeple outside the movement that we feel are being led astray. Trust me if there was such concern and divide amongst us then we would hear about it allll day longgg in the media. What has been great is the fact that we remained composed and have not given the media a chance to sensationalize infighting and diverging beliefs within our group.

I would encourage you all to set aside differences like we have before and focus on the prize. Don't let anything bother you what is being said because you know what, chances are on this site that that person who you think is outrageous is fighting the good fight right along with you.

Nice post

Knowledge is power.

I am 42 years old and when I was 38 I realized I had been lied to all my life about what was going on in the world around me. I have four children to raise (three of them boys).

'nuf said.

Yes, the conspiracy people

Yes, the conspiracy people need to learn to control themselves better. I'm not saying there aren't real 100% verifiable conspiracies (the Federal Reserve was a conspiracy of the richest men of the world for instance), but focusing attention on conspiracies does 2 things:

1) Turns away potential converts who don't want to get wrapped up in it

2) Requires the conspiracy theorist to convince a potential convert of a conspiracy when he SHOULD be trying to win converts with the message of liberty. And what happens when the conspiracy theorist gets it wrong? So many people believe that JFK was killed for trying to take on the Federal Reserve. Absolute bullshit: http://www.freedomforceinternational.org/freedomcontent.cfm?...

OK, so yes, I just linked to a JFK conspiracy debunking by another "conspiracy theorist" G. Edward Griffin. But you know what? You can use conspiracy slanted sources for information but you have to be careful. Creature from Jekyll Island goes quite a bit into the New World Order conspiracy but it also has quite of lot of well cited factual information. That's what needs to be focused on.

Frothing from the mouth conspiracy theorists really need to temper themselves and focus on the important stuff. Alex Jones does provide some useful information and has done many important interviews but you have to take it in through a filter (he continues to spread the JFK myth for example)

I agree. This is not the

I agree. This is not the place for anything conspiracy. I mean it just makes alot of us look bad when people go on about this stuff. Imagine someone new coming here and seeing the conspiracy stuff, how do you think they will feel? Now, I dont by any means think all of it is crap, but this is not the place for it.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

That's why I AM here!

I'm put off by people who read stuff they don't like.

Just saying.

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience"—Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Whats the big deal

At least they are reading and not watching the idiot box ... I fell in the rabbit hole 4 years ago and enjoy a good conspiracy ... and by the way all I want to know is about building 7 ... I stayed home that day and was glued to the TV ... there was nothing wrong with that building and I heard them say they were gonna "pull it" ... Being of Russian Decent ... I can assure you the government is not your friend.
