POLITICO : A Ron Paul Revolution Is Brewing

POLITICO : A Ron Paul Revolution Is Brewing

By ANJEANETTE DAMON - LAS VEGAS SUN | 5/9/12 11:38 PM EDT

Yes, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won the Nevada caucuses in February, capturing 50 percent of the vote.

Why then did last weekend’s headlines read that Texas Rep. Ron Paul won almost all of Nevada’s national delegates?

For that, we have the country’s cumbersome and arcane system for nominating presidential candidates to blame. You see, a simple vote doesn’t determine the winner when you’re talking presidential politics.

Here is a six-part primer to help you make sense of the strange results and what it all means once Republicans arrive in Tampa, Fla., for their national convention.

Every one has a opinion on rule 38

I like the rule that declares all delegate unbound from their respective states, whether bound or not by their state law or rules. The RNC does not recognize state rules or laws, why not take advantage of it.

Lets say a state like Nevada majority abstains. Can the RNC chair skip over the whole state? This would nullify the second round for them because they hadn't voted the first time. It might be the only option to vote Paul from the get go.

Here is some honest answers I have found, follow link to FairVote.org:

The only problem I see taking this route is retribution from state when you return, could face some court action if laws were broken. The most this could be is a small fine.

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

Grrr!

I do not like the tone of this article at all. "But aren’t they subverting the will of the voters?". I hope you all see where this it going. This article is the predecessor to a much more serious issue and exactly what Doug Wead warned us of tonight. This is the first step in the attempt at unseating our delegates - Create justification.

It's a load of crap, I agree, but Doug also mentioned how to defend our position; The campaign has been completely transparent in it's delegate strategy from day one!

Here is Doug in an interview from early February as an example:

Their name is Politico and they have no clue about politico. Whatever makes their masters happy.

Why does Alex Jones insert a "submit to fear" subliminal message in his movies?

You are so funny!

You are sending me to bed laughing! I hope I can get some sleep after this. So very funny you! Hysterical :)

I said almost the same thing!

OMG they are way behind us!

In Liberty

Hey, give her a break. She

Hey, give her a break. She didn't get the memo that Roger Simon put out to the world on CNN during the Iowa Caucuses that "they would just take it out" meaning not report much on Ron if he actually won.

I say we just keep doing our thing, work the process in a fair and legal manner ...piling up as many delagates as we can to go to Tampa ...and Politico ...and all the other Ivory Tower political reporters who have never given us a fair shake (as opposed to the few who do) can just pucker up and kiss our Ron Paul's.

Dear Ms Damon,

Arcane would be used to describe the rituals of the Illuminati, the Free Masons,or the Sorting Hat at Hogwarts.
What exactly is so "mysterious" about a voting system, that although protracted and maybe clumsy, is now described by every uninformed "journalist" as arcane?

Arcane? I dunno, perhaps...

Arcane? I dunno, perhaps... BUT why the hell don't people EVER acknowledge the fact that NONE of this process was a SECRET to ANYONE! Romney's "people" (if you can call em that) could've EASILY overwhelmed ours if they gave two SHITTS about getting him elected. Quit whining you hag and THINK a little

My latest Daily Paul article: How the U.S. Media Has Had a Big Hand in Helping Ron Paul Win the Republican Nomination

I refuse to go to politco

hope it was good.

Otherwise, how about posting only the one GOOD sentence of the Article in the main string or as a comment. In this way, we can cut to the chase and drama of having to look for the ONE Positive sentence in the politico article.

Did I say MITT ROMNEY is UN-ELECTABLE in this string yet?

egapele's picture

just do like I do,

google his name, bing his name, twitter his name, just to find out what's buzzing so you don't have to visit the actual sites like politico or worse, drudge. when you see something worthy, post it here. :)

You are very quick, emalvini.

Five minutes late is like an eternity on the Daily Paul. Great work. I deleted my post.

Politico attempts to educate the republicans about how the nominee is chosen. The keyword here is "attempts." It's just too little too late, IMO.

Spin

"They want to infuse the Republican Party with Paul’s brand of libertarian, isolationist and small-government politics"

It's on!
