The main dilemma and a planSubmitted by heved on Thu, 05/10/2012 - 00:34
"A popular Government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a Prologue to a Farce or a Tragedy; or, perhaps both." - James Madison
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free ... it expects what never was and never will be." - Thomas Jefferson
Those who educate themselves about the federal reserve, monetary policy, public debt, war and blowback, drug law injustice, the NDAA and other civil rights and liberty issues, start to view Paul favorably. Those who remain ignorant on these issues, well, they remain skeptical of Dr Paul and his message. So the most important thing we can do to win Paul votes is to educate our friends and family. Only problem is the majority of people don't want to spend more than a few minutes thinking about and picking a presidential candidate to vote for, that is if they make it out to vote at all! Yet we could spend hours fully investigating each one of these topics.
So maybe the solution to this dilemma is a resource Paul supporters can use as a tool to educate skeptics with short videos (less than 3 mins) based on the topics that concern their friends the most.
Here's the concept. I want to build a website that organizes youtube videos based on issues most important to Ron Paul skeptics. If a video doesn't exist that explains, say, the federal reserve, in 3 mins or less, I'll make one that does. Same with wars and blowback, drone strikes, NDAA, same sex marriage, medicare and welfare, etc.. I want a practical website people can use when sitting down with friends and family to discuss Dr. Paul. Something they can use right after hearing the answer to "What is the most important issue to you when picking a president to vote for?"
Here's what I'm asking of you.
1. Please ask your friends and family that question and report back here what they say.
2. Start to list links to good short videos (around 3 mins) that eloquently and succinctly educate the viewer on those subjects that people care about when picking a president.
If the video is too long (longer than 3 mins) please mention which portion(s) of it can be used to create a shortened versions, which I'm happy to do.
Here's an example of my video making ability: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuTXPWec_LU
(It's also a good video to show to the skeptic who claims Paul isn't electable)
