I think I've been much farther down the rabbit hole than most here.

Wheather you belive in god or budda, or whatever there are divine forces at work here, just as there was when America began. Society has to learn a lesson from this mess in order to progress. The masses will eventually awaken and join, even if that process takes a few more years.

Hello all Paulites. There is a great built-in check for the people to protect the Republic and its Constitution. There were groups that tried to bring this knowledge out to the American people but hardly made a dent. Now comes the RP Revolution which seemed to galvanize quite a popular movement and possibly, its time has arrived and work on this idea in concert with having our guys elected to offices.

So here is the summary: there are 3 votes that the American people will cast to exercise their constitutional duties:
1. The ballot box vote as we are doing now to chose our representatives to run our government for us, which requires at least 51% majority.
2. The Grand Jury vote to convict our peer citizen charged with a certain crime. The vote has to be unanimous to convict as charged. I believe only one dissenting vote will disqualify the charge, or the law.
3. The jury vote in a court proceeding has to be unanimous to convict our peer citizen. However, it only takes ne single dissenting vote "not guilty," the case is hung or dismissed. Now you certainly have noticed that this is an absolutely minority of dissension to send prosecution packing. This process is called jury nullification. So, regardless what law they passed, it only takes one fully informed citizen about the constitutionality of the law, it will be stricken down. If enough "not guilty" verdicts have been rendered, the law will be dissolved.

This movement will restore the Republic if we follow and apply this knowledge and perpetuate it through all other Americans, churches, private schools, etc...

America refuses to adopt a national language and or culture. Soon we will Balkanize like Russia did. The federal government will go broke with there insane spending.

We need to consider, weather, trade, neighbors and other things.
We should compose a list of important things to consider and discuss their relative importance. I might think something is important and you might not. You may have to explain why your idea is better.

let's do it. We only have one life here and we should demand our freedom. What a great base to build on.

RUN FOR OFFICE! Any political office! That's the original intent of having anyone being able to run and now that we're all "awake" and aware of the problems we're communicating together which is exactly what's needed. Imagine if every state had just one Ron Paul supporter get elected into congress. We'd begin to take back our government the legal and constitutional way.

If I were a new reader arriving to see how the Paul people were taking this defeat, I would not be impressed by someone saying that we need to fight for our civil liberties if I did not know what has been lost.

The Hillary Clinton voters (and that comeback hurts me and shocks me more than the RP loss) are the ones who are TAKING our civil liberties, but the masses in America think they have them. Much of this is happening because men are losing liberties to feminist/evangelist laws declaring them victimizers.

Interesting thread, and I hate to rain on your parade--but it ain't gonna work. Do you really think that the powers-that-be who firmly intend to make the planet one big concentration camp with themselves as the wardens would fail to take notice of your "Free State"--no matter which one it is--and CRUSH it? Sure you can die with your gun in your hand, but you'll still die--and the survivors will enjoy the view through razor concertina wire.

I empathize with your views--heck, I once wrote away to New Zealand, Australia and Paraguay for info on how to emigrate there--but have come to the conclusion that we have to stand and fight right where we're at. THERE'S NO PLACE TO HIDE.

That said: there are ways to lower your personal radar profile and reduce your vulnerability. 1) Do your d---nedest to get Ron Paul elected; don't give up until the last vote (fraudulent or not) is counted in the last state. 2) GET OUT OF DEBT---if David Rockefeller (via Chase Manhattan) has you by the family jewels, there's no way you're going to be free (or have private financial affairs)--no matter where you live. 3) Grow and/or store your own food---rationing is one of the most effective ways to control a people, and food is the most basic need. 4) Move to a relatively private, uncontrolled location in the country without draconianrestrictive ordinances, homeowners' associations, etc. but not TOO far from a town--doesn't matter what state. 5) Learn skills of basic medical care, mechanics, power generation, etc.---you'll need 'em when they're rationed via RFID chip; 6) Use CASH as far as possible to buy things. When you can't, put innocuous purchases on a conspicuous credit or debit card (diversionary tactic); use a card established in the name of a third party proxy or business entity to make more politically incorrect expenditures. 7) Run for LOCAL political office--a very few votes can sway an election; and you may have influence on local laws and ordinances that sometimes are more tyrannical and irritating than national laws.

And there's more---but I just don't think that the Free State idea is viable. Sorry. In BEST CASE SCENARIO the project would take YEARS to develop, and the hour is too late--the tyrants are closing for the kill NOW.

Elect Ron Paul and (maybe) live free---or live like slaves for sure (death might be preferable).

This has been going on since 2004 but less than 2 dozen families have relocated so dont get all in a tiff just because it is a religious group. Look at the position statements and look at the idea given on the plan of action. This info can be used as a model to do exactly what is being dicussed here!

They are right... you are right... start at the local level. South Carolina has led the way historically and can certainly lead the way now! A relatively small population and plenty of good old boys willing to stand up for their liberty.

It is also worth mentioning that the weather here is great year round and there is plenty of work and land to be had.

Seriously, if you are reading this thread and you dont look into this IDEA (not the group itself) then you are completely clueless.

BTW - Waiting 6 more years (as the plan suggests) for something like this just isnt going to cut it!!!

Maybe we can take over a lightly populated state... like Montana? Wyoming? Jackson Hole is beautiful.

I also recommend we take-over NH's state motto: "Live Free or Die", because they apparently prefer death.

The Republic of Texas!!! Read the constitution of Texas, its awesome. Texas has never officially joined the union from what I understand. Plus it has enough resources, guns, oil ect to break away easy...God knows Texans want to leave the union anyway...however we do have a rascal we need to kick out of Crawford. We might even be able to build great relations with Mexico again and tell the Union to stick it up their ass!!!
