Ron Paul and Rand Endorse Ted Cruz

Dear Michael,
Anyone who knows me knows I have a real soft spot in my heart for the state of Texas.
So today, I'm very proud to endorse a fellow Texan – United States Senate candidate Ted Cruz!
But with time running out before the May 29 Republican Primary, I'm asking you to join me in supporting Ted by making a generous donation to his campaign.
I was very impressed with Ted when I got to see him in action at a Tea Party rally my son Rand and I spoke at in Texas this past weekend.
Ted is a true statesman and is exactly the kind of person my son Rand needs to help him fight for liberty in the U.S. Senate.
If elected, Ted will be a leader in the fight to restore individual liberty, free markets, and sound money in America.
In fact, Rand, Ted, and I had a lengthy discussion about the dangers of the Federal Reserve printing money out of thin air.
Ted understands monetary policy and is fully committed to passing AUDIT THE FED legislation.
But Ted doesn't just understand the dangers of Ben Bernanke's inflationary policies.
He also understands the importance of protecting our God-given liberties.
In fact, he is strongly opposed to the indefinite detention of U.S. citizens under the recently passed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), and he will fight to overturn this gross violation of our liberties.
Ted is also an opponent of the TSA, and he will work with Rand in his fight to abolish this out-of-control federal agency.
Like you, he's tired of being treated like a second-class citizen any time he chooses to fly.
He's tired of the abusive pat-downs, the groping of children, and the destruction of our constitutional rights we encounter when trying to travel from one place to another.
And finally, Ted is a firm believer in American sovereignty - and will never support or vote for ceding our rights to the United Nations.
If you agree we need more leaders fighting to restore our rights in the U.S. Senate, please join me in supporting Ted's campaign.
With the May 29 Texas Primary fast approaching, Ted needs your help right away.
So please, help a true Patriot by making the most generous contribution you possibly can afford to Ted Cruz's Senate campaign.
Thank you so much for your support!
For Liberty,
Ron Paul
P.S. I've decided to endorse Ted Cruz for U.S. Senate in Texas, and I'm asking you to join me in supporting him by making a generous donation to his campaign.
If elected, Ted will stand side-by-side with my son Rand in the U.S. Senate to fight against Big Government.

I've been hearing that this Ted Cruz guy is a libertarian Fraud? Whats the deal?

Ted Cruz Neocon
It looks like you were right about Cruz being a neocon. He's sure following the Israel First party line on Hagel...
ted cruz's dissertation
was on the 9th and 10th amendment
https://twitter.com/#!/Agonzo1
There's absolutely no way
that I will vote for Ted Cruz. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing. He's pandering to us libertarians/constitutionalists for votes all while carrying a neo-con record.
I'm not here to sway anyone's opinion, only state my own.
However, I will say that if you don't do anything else...RESEARCH THE RECORDS. The whole reason this country is in this mess is because we elected politicians for what they wanted us to perceive them as, not as they truly were.
Research Cruz, research Addison.
I had an interesting conversation with another Pauler at a rally. Addison came up to us passing out flyers and so did a young man looking to be elected as a Sheriff. I said, "This is what we need! Fresh meat who hold liberty ideals as sacred." The other Pauler responded with, "They have no records to display their real intentions, they could end up being corrupt or just voting like the status quo." - I agreed with him, but I also think it's ignorant to think that a more well-known opponent of these candidates seeking office whose records stink of social-conservatism and big government would be better alternatives than trying for someone who might actually do some good.
Take a chance. Vote for what might be, not what will never be.
I appreciate your post. Not
I appreciate your post. Not being from Texas I'm ignorant of these candidates except for all the comments. I hope all of this shakes loose and it appears better than it seems. There are so many "little' things that Rand does that makes me question his real values politically. He is NOT his father.
Harris County Coordinator for Ron Paul National Delegates
Howdy Yall. I am the Harris County Coordinator for Ron Paul National Delegates. I get instructions from both the C4L and the Ron Paul 2012 Campaign. In the past I helped start the Houston Tea Party. One might say that I am in the loop. Also, Im the main admin for those facebook SD Texas pages.
So let me start by saying that RP SELDOM makes endorsements, not even of his past volunteers. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are friends. They want to work together in the Senate. Ron Paul gathers nothing by being endorsed by Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz loses the support of main stream Republicans by endorsing Ron Paul. This was discussed in great detail before the endorsement was made. Both political professionals are okay with it. That's politics.
These China/Goldmansachs/international funding conspiracies need to stop now. They are unfounded/untrue and damaging to the liberty movement. There is a plan. That plan does not include Glen Addison or Lela Pittenger (whom I have personal relationships with and love dearly.
It's our job to fall in line, respect the wishes of Ron and Rand who have devoted their time, money, and careers to the pursuit of liberty.
I want you to copy and paste the above and tell your friends.
P.S. In two years, John Cornyn seat is up for grabs. We can volunteer together for Glenn and/or Lela. Together we can produce positive change.

In reply to comments above and below
1. (Bang!) is the shot heard round the world. The start of a colonial revolution that is still playing out in countries like China, Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, etc.
2. Your comments make me want to quit volunteering the 15+ hours a week I spend on organizing, phone banking, producing educational seminars, etc. Because your comments make me feel like this is a waste of my time. That I can't turn anarchists into an effective socialism fighting force. That the majority of the people I am working with are too independent minded to ever be a real threat to the establishment.
Ive spent most of my free time for the last four months gathering delegates to the state convention. This (Ted Cruz/Rand Paul) example of not following liberty movement leadership ... it really proves a point, that this liberty movement isn't going anywhere. That this is a waste of my time.
I now know the reason the world is the way it is. The reason is you.
(Bang!)
Whose Plan?
"There is a plan. That plan does not include Glen Addison or Lela Pittenger (whom I have personal relationships with and love dearly."
Excuse me? Just because "there is a plan" does not mean that I am a part of it. I am not your plan. Do not include me in your plan.
I have my own plan, not in your plan.
Now perhaps you could ask nicely and I might consider your plan...
Bang! I'm dead? What is the deal with your signature? Are you the cop or the robber, or one-in-the-same?
Hi
I appreciate you being candid.
That said, I will NEVER support somebody who does not endorse Ron Paul.
That is non-negotiable.
I don't care what "agreements" have been made.
If Ted doesn't endorse, he loses.
Period.
I'm finished with candidates who want to "run away" from Ron Paul for the sake of appeasing the establishment. If they are interested in appeasing the establishment, I want nothing to do with them.
2 Way Street
Thank you for that information. I agree, endorement is a 2 way street. If Rand wants to work with Ted in the Senate, then let Rand endorse Ted. Don't send me some LPAC email signed by Ron Paul asking me for money...
houstonronpaul2012 had the audacity to contact me personally on page 2 of this post with the following:
"The endorsement was discussed before it was made. Ron Paul gains nothing from Ted Cruz endorsement but Ted Cruz could loose Republican establishment votes that he needs to win. Both parties agreed to this logic. That's politics. Time for you to fall in line with the plan."
Well, I replied to that
"From your signature it sounds as if I have to line up with the plan or else???? I don't have to line up with anything for which I do not choose. Nor will I "fall in line" because I am told to. I am not a part of "both parties," to which you refer. I am an individual who will choose as I please. It is time for the "parties" to wake up and smell the coffee. There is a small irate minority who are not going to fall in line.
By the way, I have been a straight ticket voting life-long-republican. It is your exact attitude that has changed my voting habbits.
So Bang! I'm dead?
Exactly who do you think you are?"
And then found him announce himself here on the first page so I made some more comments. How dare this person tell me personally and specifically to fall in line and then close with Bang!
It's our job to fall in line,
It's our job to fall in line, respect the wishes of Ron and Rand who have devoted their time, money, and careers to the pursuit of liberty.
Excuse me? It is YOUR job maybe, but my "Job" is to investigate the candidates and thier records. I have posted my results in other places so I will not elaborate any more here.
My votes have already been cast and one was not for Cruz.

It's our job to fall in
It's our job to fall in line,
What a dispicable comment from a liberty minded supporter. I cannot believe you actually wrote that!
Ein, Svi, Dri, Fia ACTUNG, Jue vill due vat vee say, Jue have no vight to tink, act oder investigate anyting vee say. Zimply do vat vee say.

I am sincerely hoping this is
I am sincerely hoping this is a mistake made by Ron because he is so busy......is it possible he really hasn't checked Ted out?
Apparently, Dr Paul doesn't know Ted Cruz's wife
is a VP for Goldman Sachs? Do you actually believe Cruz is going to work against his wife who's firm is in bed with the FED???? Dr Paul has probably been mislead by Rand on Cruz, and should always question Rand's thinking, as he will never get blind support from me, since he met with the Ziocon's before his election.
Sun Tzu
The Art Of War, more people should read it. Remember people in some states our delegates have had to make temporary alliances with Santorum to block Mittens. The end goal is the nomination and then the presidency. Can you think of a better way to send the message that Dr Paul's supporters will not get on board blindly, then to make such an endorsement and then let them see that the grassroots won't blindly jump on board? Makes a clear message to the RNC, that the only way to get our support is by backing liberty.
Houstonronpaul2012
Ted Cruz is not an establishment candidate. This is a myth. His budget is one tenth of David Dewhurst. I know because Ive seen it.
(Bang!)
I love that book
BUT I doubt very seriously that such a convoluted plan would cause the RNC to make any reasonable association with it and Liberty...

He is Dick Armey's freedomworks Darling
I just went to google all of the negative stuff on Cruz and for some odd reason, there are none to be found!!!! 2 months ago you would have seen them everywhere.
Sarah Palin is backing him.
The only good thing about Cruz is he is against TSA and NDAA, and Agenda 21, but so is Addison.
Against Agenda 21, but his wife works for the UN. A little conflict of interests there.
That whole event was a Freedomworks pile of dung.
Now the solicitation to support Cruz, comes out of the astroturf fake Tea Party.
This stinks.
Well, then they've been stripped
Because I found them easily right after the TX Senatorial Debate in Houston - when someone commented in the livestream to check our Heidi Suzanne Cruz... that she was a V-P with Goldman-Sachs...

Hope it's ok to put this...

Ted Cruz does not endorse Ron Paul
"U.S. Rep. Ron Paul has endorsed former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz for U.S. Senate, but that doesn't mean Cruz is returning the favor and endorsing Paul's presidential bid. . . . " (cont'd)

A comment made below that article
"Ron Paul would not endorse Cruz if he knew more about him. Thank God Cruz is not endorsing Ron Paul as that would smear Ron Pauls good name."

The Letter and the Cruz Blog
Can we compare this *endorsement* letter to others Ron Paul has written? It just sounds almost too complimentary.
Also, if you go to his blog...the announcement is extremely derogatory in that it lumps the Palin and Paul endorsement and then SAYS "given her standing in the Conservative movement, Palin's endorsement is obviously more *high profile*."
What in the world. Does not seem the way to thank Ron Paul for his endorsement and discount his supporters as ?? ...not as important as Palin.
Something sure seems wrong about this. At best, Dr. Paul misread Ted Cruz' graciousness.
http://www.tedcruz.org/blog/
I don't see him saying anything nice about Dr. Paul. Any clue, folks?

Ted Cruz
.... not impressed at all....
"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Samuel Adams
I dont' believe it. The only emails I get signed by Ron Paul
is from his campaign2012 site and any endorsements he gives or receives are posted there however no mention of this. I've done some digging and I found no videos to HEARING him publicly announce his endorsement nor quoted verbatim either. Supposedly the endorsement was given at the Tea Party Rally last Sunday. Was anyone there?
I'm not going to believe it until I see from sources I KNOW are coming directly from Ron Paul.
Perhaps the confusion lies in that both RP and Cruz were at the Rally supporting their campaigns.
