US taxpayer support for Israel’s military in 2013 to a record $4 billion.

Israel Business News reports that:
"The House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee is due to vote on the draft bill today, which will include $948,736,000 for Israel’s missile defense programs for the 2013 fiscal year, which begins in October. This money is separate from the $3.1 billion in annual military aid for Israel for 2013. If the proposal passes, Israel will receive a record total of $4 billion in military aid in the next fiscal year. The US aid for Israel’s missile defense programs is part of the US defense appropriations. The items in the House bill includes $74,692,000 for the “upper-tier component to the Israeli Missile Defense Architecture” – the Arrow 3 anti-ballistic missile."

We are Broke

We don't have enough money to pay for programs for the poor and elderly in this country but we can pay for israel's defense. The debt is 16+ trillion, we are 1.5 over the budget this year and we have 100+ trillion in unfunded future liabilities. Are these people crazy this is pure debt enslavement. What am I working for I'm also a business owner and people say that my taxes should be raised to help poor people but as you can see my money wont be helping poor people. Its going to other companies with government connections and they throw a few crappy jobs to minorities that will never get them out the ghetto or teach them how to start their own businesses so they can become independent of the system and i'm black. Whats the point of receiving a government job that's in a inflated bubble. When it pops or when the grant runs out you'll be out of a job anyway wasting years of your life and have learned nothing useful that you can use to produce something.

Now they have all these Obamacare programs look how many people went to school for Health IT what are they gonna do if it doesn't pass. Freedom and less regulation is what is going to get poor people out of these bad neighborhoods. They don't have the capital or resources to buy these licenses, certifications and pay for transportation, home bills, etc. Some people have zero money and live in the projects. The only way to get any kind or real money is to sell drugs shit I sold hard drugs while in college for seed money to start my business. Luckily I made it out and own property, have my degree, own my own business, etc. but everyone isn't that lucky. This is what Liberals and regulation pushers have to understand they make it harder for people to realize the American dream because they put so many burdens on them and hurdles in the way starting off

...so US taxpayers hand Israel $4 billion, Israel hands that money right back to Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, or whichever US military-industrial complex corporation is producing the weapon du jour.

Nice work if you can get it, eh?

Incidentally, the upcoming "draconian" defense spending cuts are for $18 billion, which Panetta says will be "catastrophic" and "hollow out" the American military...guess they just can't spare that subsidy for Raytheo...I mean Israel. Let's see, the total amount of foreign aid for this coming fiscal year is $51.6 billion, including the record $4 billion for Raytheo, oops I did it again, I mean Israel. Yea, I guess Panetta's right, if we had to cut our handouts to dictators and US military-industrial corporations down to a measly 33.6 billion annually, that would be "catastrophic (for Raytheon shareholders) and would "hollow out" the American military. Clearly we'd be unable to defend ourselves from...well, whoever the enemy is, not really sure...if the King of Saudi Arabia doesn't get his free cash.

Thank God the department of Raytheon subsid....I mean defense....is keeping us safe!

Could President Paul...
