North Carolina GOP State Convention Has A Resolution To Support Mitt Romney. Help.
Submitted by m0r14rty on Fri, 05/11/2012 - 12:54The NC GOP has approved a resolution at the state floor that they endorse candidate Mitt Romney for president in 2012, even with Ron Paul still in the race. Essentially labeling all Paul supporters as opposition to the party they're currently in. If passed, it implies that Paul supporters aren't welcome in the NC GOP. Not to mention, by aiding Romney, they're breaking rule 11 of the national GOP rules approved in 2008 and are at risk of losing all delegates to the national convention.
"Resolved, That regardless of any differences we may have had in the candidates we supported in the Presidential primary, Republicans will unite in working to elect Mitt Romney as President of the United States in 2012.
Resolution"

Rule 11 is broken:

Entire state party endorsement = aid.
Not to mention the Guilford county chairman has been robo-calling everyone, endorsing Mitt Romney, which is even worse...but that is being reported on currently.
We've contacted as many people as we can but it's still not getting enough attention. If it makes it to the convention floor the majority, whom are all Romney, will gladly vote for it and against any claims that the resolution violates rule 11 and is unfair to anyone who doesn't support Romney.
It has gotten VERY ugly in North Carolina. Our state GOP is horribly corrupt and will do whatever it takes to block out Paul supporters. Most of them aren't even very passionate about Romney, but simply hate Paul supporters so much that they have done everything to kick us out of the party. Please help us.
