RT: US fears Israeli attack on Iran at 'any moment'

Channel 10, a decade-old broadcasting network with international distribution, reports that authorities in the United States are rushing this week to discuss an impending Israeli attack on Iran. The reports have developed in recent days following news that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formed an alliance with Shaul Mofaz, the leader of the nation’s largest opposition party.
Speaking of the deal between the two, PM Netanyahu has said the newfangled alliance will stabilize the country’s government. Reporting from Jerusalem, the UK’s Independent adds that the relationship installs “a commanding mandate” for Netanhau, “should he choose to strike against Iran.”
In the United States, many have feared that it would only be a matter of time before such a strike occurred. Only now, however, are top US officials reportedly trying to find a way to prevent an immediate attack.
Israel National News reports that the strike could be carried out at "any given moment.”
Channel 10 adds in their report that undisclosed sources with ties to the US government say authorities in Washington, DC fear that the Netanyahu/Mofaz alliance brings together two influential party leaders that would both favor an attack on Iran. Speaking together on Tuesday this week, both men said they have much common ground between them when it comes to issues that include Iran. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak is also reported to be in favor of a strike on Iran more likely sooner than later. With an attack seeming imminent, US officials are reportedly scurrying to strike a deal that will prevent a war from breaking out in the coming weeks.

Russia Today? Come on. Just because they show a lot of fluff about Dr. Paul, for whatever reason, doesn't make them a credible news source. RT is a joke, as far as serious reporting is concerned.

they also "work" for the same people who control both sides of the media in the US an the UK, and both Houses of many European Parliaments as well as those of the UK and the US.
America will not be drawn into another war in the Middle East this close to an Election, and I firmly believe that Israel is ramping up the fear by beating the war drums, and RT is spreading the message.

I've been hearing about this "attack" for over 2 years now....
I think it's all just saber rattling. While there's no doubt that the U.S. would love to become entangled in yet another war, I'm really starting to wonder if it can even happen. Perhaps they're just rattling the saber because they want to provoke an attack from Iran first, so they can feel "justified", or maybe the world powers now realize how broke they are, so the best they can do is rattle the saber... like a paper tiger.

its crazy that people have an issue with the US goverment but conform to this spiritual non proven existent goverment. The reason to be cool with Israel is their economic output, pretty good for a small country and useful stuff for us to use but if they take our tax money and get us into war than we must draw the redline and retaliate till they learn their place.

Regarding Israel, I believe I tried to express that I agreed with you at first. I don't believe in the implied authority required for preemptive war. Not one Iota. Not if we are responsible, not if Israel is responsible. Israel is not a friend to America, that is true and correct.
Wishing ruin on them because you believe they are not gods 'chosen people', however, is religious buffoonery, and it will be the driving force behind this very conflict we are discussing, and it is not OK on any side. While people have every right to defend themselves, war is not justified for any reason, ever; and yes that especially includes being done in gods name.

as long as we can get the US goverment to not get involved otherwise we boycott and show resentment to Israel until they leave our political system for good as were in the progress of doing to the banks.

First I want to agree this is none of our business. Second, I fully agree that not only did Iran threaten Israel, I fully support Israel using nuclear weapons to defend itself.
