Ron Paul and the Militia movement

What do you guys think about this? I have no sympathy for Timothy McVeigh and have no idea why on God's earth he thought the cause of liberty would be advanced by mass murder. However his actions seem to have tarred a movement which, as far as I can see, is made up in the main of God-fearing, independent-minded Americans who will not be ruled by a tyranny. Do you think Ron Paul may have some common cause with the anti-Federalist militia movement?

If you pull back the curtain far enough,

you will find that the alphabet agencies of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA INC. were involved somehow in every single terrorist attack on this continent, and 75% of the terrorist episodes on the remaining five inhabited continents.
Militias, as referenced in the 2nd Amendment, are by definition, composed of men doing their civic duty as the Constitution lays out. If you have ever lived in a remote rural area with sparse population, where your life is not terribly dissimilar (especially come winter) to what it would have been 250 years ago, then it is easy to see how these networks of trusted individuals develop. But, if you're out here, on the modern map, then any advertisement you see announcing:
“Hackensack New Jersey Militia - Grand Opening - Join Now!”, then in your
brain you should substitute:
“The FBI Has An Opening For Patsys Like YOU!

If we can't change the system

Miltia folks are the most patriotic heroic people we have in this country, when the goverment wants to put people in the camps or steal their property these folks will defend the common man from the oppressive elites forces and than we will join with them to eventually destroy the evil regime.

creating a millita is our

creating a millita is our consitutional right as citizens. But I feel everyone is chicken except us is scared to fight for liberty. We are out gun'd but I think we still have a chance to free our states and stomp on the federal govt. Limited is the only chance to Liberty

99% of people in the Militia

99% of people in the Militia movement are good folks who are preparing for a coming confrontation - either with a police state, or with a general collapse and breakdown of society when the dollar goes down, which is very, very possible. Battlefield America and Civil War II may not be far away. the movement is a reaction to two things 1.growing Federal power grabs 2. the cultural disintegration of the U.S. There are groups that are white separatist and focus more on the second issue, but see both as related. Usually they are divided along these lines. I would say most are natural libertarians, even the racist ones. its one thing if they want to drive out all non-whites, another thing if they want to form their own community and live "racist" lives that comes into conflict with forced anti-racist policies. yes, if you are a radical libertarian a person should have the right to be racist, as long as he/she doesn't hurt others.

there is no left or right, only system and anti-system.

This Looks Like a Romney Troll Headline

The OP has been here 15 days and now writes a headline associating Ron Paul, Militia movement and Timothy McVeigh.

Legitimate topic? Maybe, but still voting it down.

Ron Paul - Honorary Founding Father

Well I'm definitely not a Romney Troll. Correct have only been here awhile. In fact I only heard of Ron Paul a couple of months ago. But I believe in Liberty. Lost interest in politics many years ago, and am kind of shocked by how quickly Dr. Paul's magnificent and shining campaign of truth has re-energised my interest in it. Basically, no politician, nor indeed any other public figure during my lifetime, has EVER actually come out with opinions or policies stating anything close to what I personally believe. So imagine my astonishment when during a half-hearted, bored perusal of 2012 Presidential hopefuls, I watched this laid-back doctor from Texas coming out with EXACTLY what I have been saying for decades. On the money. I believe his cause is righteous, and therefore it must prevail.

watch this movie

A Noble Lie......This is the absolute best documentary on the subject of OKC...

and read this

a noble lie is very telling, especially when the evidence shows
and points to others involved
like the extra bombs in the building
the fact that the explosion blew debris towards the truck
and not away from it
the fact that they caught mcveigh in a stolen vehicle, before it was even reported stolen

also i would love to read or see the evidence that randy weaver was
part of the Aryan nations

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

Watched this movie now. Shocking.

Didn't know any of that stuff.

Obedience to God is resistance to tyrants.

McVeigh was very likely COINTELPRO.

McVeigh went to gun shows trying to get someone to murder Lon Horiuchi, the FBI sniper who murdered Vicki Weaver and was responsible for several murders at Waco, as well. Since McVeigh was a decorated war veteran and a "top scoring gunner with the 25 mm cannon," McVeigh could have easily done the job himself. Instead, he blows up a bunch of innocent civilians, including children, on the anniversary of the Waco massacre, just in time to discredit the new investigation being conducted by the "Contract with America" freshmen Republicans. Sounds pretty fishy to me. I wouldn't be all that surprised if McVeigh's execution was faked and he is still out there somewhere doing mischief for the NWO.

So far, except for the Arizona border militia, the militias have behaved pretty pathetically. I'm actually surprised that the Arizona border militia hasn't taken care of the Tucson sheriff and his murderous SWAT team, that pumped 24 rounds into an Iraq war veteran during a bogus drug raid. However, the border militia may be waiting to see if Ron Paul wins the presidential election before taking the law into their own hands.

I didn't know all of this--but . . .

I also believed him to be a 'plant' (or cointelpro)--

thanks for saying it, so I don't have to! :)

Well am a little more educated, but not that much. I think it's a little harsh to say all anti-Feds are bigots. Those certainly aren't the ones I'm talking about. I'm talking more about the Ruby Ridge incident, etc. I admit some of my view on this is informed by the TV special 'Louis Theroux's weird weekends - Survivalists'! (NOT the Aryan Nations bit!!) My impression from this and other sources is that many groups are 'fundamentalist' Christians, a belief system which is incompatible with Nazism and other racist bigotry.

Obedience to God is resistance to tyrants.

Randy Weaver and his family

Randy Weaver and his family at Ruby Ridge were affiliated with Aryan Nations - as they were white racial separatists, just so you know. that fact does not belittle the criminal actions of the government against him any one bit, nor does it absolve them from Waco just because they were fundamentalist Christians. You might think Christianity is incompatible with Nazism and racism, but anything can be tweeked. the Old Testament is based on tribal/ethnic supremacy, and both testaments have lines that justify slavery.

there is no left or right, only system and anti-system.

Ah, interesting, thanks.

Did not know that. However I'm gonna have to disagree with you on one point. Christianity cannot be 'tweaked'. Not ever. That is why slavery died out as Christ's message reverberated around the world. That is part of what differentiates it from other monotheisms. And that is why Christians always prevail.

Obedience to God is resistance to tyrants.

If Christianity can't be

If Christianity can't be tweeked then you wouldn't have Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, etc. divisions within it. there were Christians who were Abolitionists as well as Christians who supported the South and slavery during the Civil War.

there is no left or right, only system and anti-system.

No, there is one Church of Christ.

The divisions you speak of are with people who are not true Christians.

Including those who upheld slavery, even if they thought they were. They tested that belief against God's divine providence, and they had their answer.

Christ is the King of Heaven, there is no other. Victory cannot be won without his Grace.

Obedience to God is resistance to tyrants.

Militia people are just like you and me.

Attempts to pigeon-hole them into various stereotypes for the purpose of marginalization are done by people who are enemies of freedom.

Anti-tyranny militia?

Is there a militia movement out there that is solely anti-tyranny? Most reports on militias that I see seem to portray them as having some other agenda... anti-black, anti-hispanic, anti-jew, neo-nazi, etc. I'm sure there is a probability that the press reports on them unfairly, but it seems to me that the good intentioned militia members get upstaged by their bigoted brothers. Maybe more effective self-policing would be in order. Unfortunately the militias and the conspiracists have all been grouped together in the wacko category which forces them to face an uphill battle for respectability.

The majority ARE solely

The majority ARE solely anti-tyranny, and many have black and hispanic members. You just won't be seeing them in the MSM. All you'll see in the MSM is white nationalists hiding up in the mountains of rural Montana.

Ron Paul is like black licorice

Not everybody likes black licorice, but the people who like black licorice, really really like black licorice. They might also like chololate, gummy worms, circus peanuts or sugar free sour balls because most people have many likes and interests.

Ron Paul appeals to many kinds of people who appreciate freedom in it's many forms.

Ron paul is not violent and bringing folsk together peacefully.

I like black licorice and Dr. Ron Paul....Life is pretty good today! And we are WINNING!!!!!
