Oklahoma and Arizona reconvene conventions in the parking lot, 5/12/12. Everything is in a new phase now.

Great news! The RINOs in OK acted like the pompous jerks they are and shut down the OK state convention improperly a couple hours ago. Watching the rump convention out in the parking lot was inspirational, but they had no more than 300-400 people of the 1800 reportedly originally in attendance, and thus DID NOT HAVE A QUORUM.

All of their actions will be challenged, and likely thrown out.

I suggest OK liberty folks reconvene ASAP, get 900+ to show up, do it all over again, and let the RNC fight that!

UPDATE: Arizona was also illegally gavelled to a close without a 2/3 vote (or any vote, as it sounds). They went out in the parking lot too, but were chased away by the cops.

NOT GOOD, folks. TPTB seem to want to lump us in with the OCCUPY people...

Edited title...

...removed "rump." (Though I am sure the other side will continue to call it that, esp. AZ. Be prepared.)

Actually we did have Quorum.

Actually we did have Quorum. Since the first problem with the convention was with credentialling of the delegates, quorum was never established. The first action we took in the parking lot was to meticulously go through every 77 county present and establish the delegate count. The truth of the matter is, that according to the law and the rules, the convention did not officially come to order until we established quorum in the parking lot, passed the rules, and elected a permanent chair.

Now I know it will probably be ignored because the Repbulican party establishment has no interest in following the rules. But the Oklahoma GOP State Convention was not properly credentialed until we moved to the parking lot. An announcement was made in the hall and we had people at both doors of the convention center telling delegates that the convention had not been properly adjorned and that it was reconvening. ALL supporters of any candidate were free to participate.

The parkinglot convention took almost 5 hours, as we painstakingly went through every effort we could to ensure that our actions were by the book, inspite of the fact that we recognized that we had an almost unanimous Ron Paul presence. As TRUE REPUBLICANS, we demand that the decisions we make as a body be born out of the rule of LAW and not of any other motivation.

I salute the patriots of Oklahoma!!

Hopefully, the continued/delayed convention will be exonerated, and the rule of law fairly applied!

Well done. God speed to you all.

Thanks! Also, since we did

Also, since we did have quorum it was not a 'rump' convention. Rump conventions have no legal authority. Just trying to be clear!

Thank you for the

Thank you for the clarification. I am sick of hearing it referred to as rump. It is a ploy to discredit it. Unfortunately, I believe I heard the chair refer to it as rump in the local news video I saw last night. I wish he hadn't said it.

I understand, but, yes mis

I understand, but, yes mis statements aside, jake peters had been working the convention, speaking all day long, I am sure he was exhausted and I am amazed by his endurance and patience. It is obvious though by all of these actions how messed up the party is and their attempt to shut us out by blatantly not following rules. This part of a much larger process as well.

Mis-statements aside, what is

Mis-statements aside, what is important is that we adhered to the rule of law in conducting the business of the convention. If they are going to ignore it, they are going to do so in the face of their complete immorality. God and history will be the judge, and I have a feeling that we won't let either one forget about this.

Arizona was being led by

Arizona was being led by someone really weak, and the delegates out there should have picked someone else out there if they wanted to pass a few motions.

Like invalidate the convention for counting votes in secret. Address the proportional requirement. Etc. You didn't have to put up with any of it. When the leader was going to lead badly, you should have picked someone else and finished what you came to do.

Just my opinion after watching the recording. OKC Ron Paul was well organized though.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

you need the numbers

Taking over the convention only works if you KNOW you have the numbers and are willing to suffer the repercussion of doing exactly what "they" expect you to do. In our county delegation and congressional district, we respectfully questioned anything that seemed wrong, in a way that brought down the walls. These are people that we will be working with again, and if we want influence, we have to show them that our concerns are legitimate, not disruptive, and that we respect the honest effort to conduct a meeting under less than ideal circumstances.

We won our delegates, and showed that Ron Paul supporters only want a fair process. I would expect that next time those leaders will be willing to work with us.

And...in case you all haven't seen it...

WE HAVE VERY SOLID EVIDENCE OF VOTER FRAUD on the part of these RNC/Romney cretins. That is why (in Maine and elsewhere) the cheating, lying, treasonous party insiders are seeking to do away with caucuses, and instead working to make all States have soviet-style, black-box counted primaries like Alabama:

Ron Paul got over 600 votes in OKLAHOMA last night.300-400 my butt.

Some see things as they are and say why,but i dream things that never were and say why not. Robert F. Kennedy

That is not what I was told by...

...folks with friends in the parking lot. 300-400 stayed until the end. NOT ENOUGH. It's a rump convention that the OK GOP can (and will) challenge.

Doesn't matter anyway. The OK GOP will NOT permit our delegates to represent the state, NO MATTER WHAT-WHERE-WHEN we select them. The corrupt Romney campaign/RNC (they are the same thing, of course) will back the establishment in OK. They will simply announce the Romney-RNC approved slate to Tampa, and, of course, the Tampa credentials committee will seat THEIR delegates and not OURS. I can see this coming as plain as day.

Look, I HOPE AND PRAY I AM WRONG. I truly do. I just know how desperate this wounded animal that is Romney/RNC has become. Last nights events in OK and AZ were a tipping point. Things could very well (and I believe LIKLEY WILL) spiral out of control from here.

Here is what I think is going on...The Romney campaign/RNC has made it clear we are not to take another state where we do not have a clear majority...i.e. the power to elect the chair. Their corrupt chairs have been instructed to ADJOURN rather than let R.P. folks in our pluralities vote as a solid bloc and win delegates. Of course, they will NOT follow the rules and adjourn properly with a 2/3 vote. We all know they don't care about their own rules.

WE MUST HAVE A MAJORITY, not a mere plurality, at these state conventions.

Mark my words...last night was a major tipping point, not just in the race for the R nomination, but in American history.

"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."

Tipping point reached in OK and AZ

As the convention continued in the parking lot in Norman, OK, visions of the Berlin Wall coming down kept coming to me. The Liberty Movement has taken on a life of its own. Ron Paul delegates are succeeding IN SPITE OF the national campaign. (The national campaign is either totally inept, or being sabotaged at the highest levels -- but that is another topic that needs to be discussed. We MUST liberate the Liberty Movement from the Campaign for Liberty, as ironic as that sounds.)

Many other state conventions are yet to be held. Those activists will go to school on the OK convention, which is totally on video, from beginning to end.

This rings true...

The OK and AZ GOP will now just pick the delegates, with no convention:

The result in OK is that the OK GOP will hand pick the delegates.

It is a complete farce, and yet more proof that America as a free nation is all but lost. The GOP has now resorted to violence and rule violations to get their way. Very very sad.

One positive is that it will almost certainly lead to Paul running independent, which ends Romney's chances. This is important because letting the GOP anywhere near the Presidency would be a disaster for the world.

It sounds like the same thing happened in AZ....

...this is really interesting.

Could the start of the "crackdown" not be against "occupy" but against US for FOLLOWING ALL THE RULES???
