Romney Eligibility

Americans cannot endorse or vote for an ineligible candidate like Mitt Romney. I've researched the records available but have not had access to physical legal documents. Miles Romney was prosecuted in 1885 under the Edmunds Anti-Polygamy Act (for polygamy). This act allowed certain citizenship rights to be stripped of those convicted. Shortly after that he left for Mexico, taking his family with him. Mitt Romney's grandparents were born on foreign soil, ( Utah became a state in 1896 ), and they were in Mexico before Utah did join the U.S.."Gaskell sued Mexico for the loss of his property and, in 1938, was awarded damages of $9,163. Half of the money went to his son, George Romney, putting the family on a solid financial footing." - ONLY Mexican Citizens could own property in Mexico! Mitt's father George was born in Mexico and came to the U.S. in 1912. Mitt Romney was born on U.S. soil in 1947, there is no legal documentation presented to prove George Romney was a U.S. Citizen at that time.
We need legal documents proving George Romney was a U.S. citizen in 1947 with no divided loyalties, no dual citizenship.

If this is for real, I guess he needs to drop out, right? I think these things people are finding was all a part of the Obama/Romney script to come.. Stop bringing these things up, we aren't supposed to hear about that until Mitt is locked in :P

a nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat

Mitt Romney and Marco Rubio a

Mitt Romney and Marco Rubio a match made in heaven?

I never realized Romney was a product of polygamy. Kind of funny. If I counted correctly, his great grandfather had 5 wives and about 31 children. It looks like his mother was born in the USA, his father in Mexico, and his grandparents were both born in the USA. Mitt was born in Michigan, so there wouldn't be any citizenship issues from my perspective. I'm guessing we'll be seeing a story about his polygamist family history in the near future, something nice like the bully article.

Willard "Mitt" Romney still needs to verify with Evidence.

Yes, "uncle mitt" needs to be "transparent" in showing paperwork and evidence to verify who he is and to prove he is a Natural Born Citizen. Some will argue that his grandfather "lost/gave up" his US citizenship when he fled to Mexico because the Federal Government wanted to tell him how to live his life. That would imply "grandpa" was a US Citizen (I'm not sure where he was born, though). Even though "grandpa" fled - he was still a US Citizen - and Mexico allows "dual citizenship" UNTIL an adult "Declares" their Citizenship through some type of action. Mitt's daddy - George Romney - WAS born in Mexico which gave George Dual Citizenship (this is why George Romney dropped out for the POTUS race in 1968). George Romney was NOT a Natural Born Citizen. Even though George was born with Dual Citizenship because of birth on Mexico soil to US Citizen parents (by Mexico Law), George "probably" relinquished his Mexican Citizenship when he legally obtained a Passport at age 19 to serve a 2- year Church Mission in Europe (of course, he was not married yet). Mexico Law did not and does not allow a citizen to hold a passport of another country. If Mitt can show evidence/proof that his father George had a US Passport at age 19, this would give George US citizenship only - since this was an official action of "declaration" and by having a US passort, George Officially became a US Citizen. George Romney married a "utah gal" - and she would have been granted US citizenship through marriage and/or Utah's statehood. "Baby Mitt" was therefore born on US Soil (Detroit, Michigan) to two US Citizens - IF he can prove his father George held a US Passport. This proof would also explain why George Romney was Governor of Michigan, yet dropped out in 1968 - since George was HONEST And he quietly knew he was NOT a true Natural Born Citizen. "Passport Paperwork please".
