About Booing the Romneys

http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/story/2012-05-12/ron-p...

I attended the Mass GOP 9th District Caucus a few weeks ago.

Each nominee for delegate got 3 minutes to speak. One delegate, a local sheriff, gave a minute of his time to play a short greeting to Massachusetts from Mrs. Romney.

Suddenly, one or two people booed loudly from the back of the auditorium. I assumed it was a Ron Paul supporter, but maybe not. I don't know. This is something Dr. Paul would not condone. Anne Romney has 5 sons, I have 3. Believe me dissing her is just not cool.

This is an example of the vitriol that will be spewed at us by cocktail republicans and rhinos if we go this route: http://www.lucianne.com/thread/?artnum=680706

Please…please, we are better than this. Talking about individual liberty, peace, the Constitution and how it brings us together is enough. Divide and conquer is the administration's path, and it will lead to defeat.

I can understand trying to get Mitt's son off the stage, but booing? Maybe if we all stood and held up a Ron Paul sign? Could we use the rules to get equal time? Surely there is a better way. We have to develop better strategies or Tampa will be a nightmare.

I hope you all have some comments. I need some help on how to think about this.

This is a lie!

I was there, too. We did not boo him off the stage. We boo'd when he pushed the Romney slate which is not allowed. We boo'd very loudly at the Native American official who kept promoting Romney all through his speech. THAT was uncool so we boo'd that. Wow, the media is so full of it.

3 minutes

is plenty of time to cut up Romney in a speech for the nominees. lol

It is a dirty job but somebody has to do it. Why give the guy a free ride?

Sounds like Mitt Romney's son

Sounds like Mitt Romney's son left Oklahoma crying, whaaaah! Whaah! Daddy! So he cried to his daddy, and his daddy cried to his daddy (the MSM)...whaaaaaah! Romney got a boo boo...whaaaaaah!

Would the Romney's like some cheese with their whine?

At least we don't sucker punch people in the head.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

I was there and he was not

I was there and he was not booed off the stage. The loudest and first boo's came when the Governor of an indian tribe endorsed Romney. It wasn't a small smattering of boos either. The entire convention erupted into booing him. He deserved it and it was good to see. When Jr. spoke we were very polite until he held up the green sheet of paper of the slate he wanted the sheeple to endorse, not cool. The Paul speaker didn't do this because we tend to follow the rules. Politicians don't and shouldn't get automatic respect. I'm proud of the Arizona Paulites. Great job rebels!!!!

The media misleads, get used to it!

Look Mom, how do you like my hat?

Robney's son

Is not a kid like he's being portrayed, he is a grown man. Further more, Robney sent his son as he does often to events where he knows Ron Paul supporters will be because HE doesn't want to get booed or confronted with any "tough" questions. The BOOS came because Jr. Was breaking the rules by promoting the Robney slate, that is against the rules, if he didn't know, now he knows. I personally don't feel bad about that.

Awww, they harassed poor little J.R.

This is war–and he wasn't really booed off stage, he was booed for breaking the rules.
Where are their hearts of gold when we are blacked-out & ignored, cheated, have the lights turned out, disappearing ballots, have our votes stolen, targeted, profiled and put on watch-lists, etc, etc, etc...???
Oh yes, the RHINOs are feigning indignation, as they also do every time we succeed.
People have to realize, that at this stage in the game, anything we do that chips away at the GOP's Fox News-watching, Sean Hannity-listening, Glenn Beck-loving
members’ pre-established world-view of Mitt Romney as the Republican nominee being a foregone conclusion, will be fought against with increasing vociferousness.
So, who cares what they are saying?
ex.
“Those crazy, dope-smoking, unwashed hordes are just like OWS...”
“Don't they know if we weren't the world's police, we'd be just another banana republic?”
“They're all DNC plants trying to disrupt the RNC & work for Lyndon LaRouche”
“Most of them are Obama-loving lefties who want to bring their brand of Nazi-style fascism to America”

  • Are we going to suddenly convert these folks?
  • Win them over with good manners?
  • Have a meaningful constructive debate using logic

Answers: (I WISH), NO and (PROBABLY NOT), and the reason why is two words: cognitive dissonance
But keep in mind what the majority of comments are saying

Not booing Romney's son

The reason this is reported is because of the Romney son angle. The boos I heard were anytime any speaker mentioned Romney as the answer to our problems, and endorsed the Romney slate just because they wanted to pick our delegates for us.

The Governor of the Gila Indian Reservation was booed every other sentence once he started mentioning Mitt Romney as the answer to every problem, but the papers didn't mention this at all. I felt sorry for him, Romney's son seemed like a good-natured person who recognized the opposition and knew it wasn't personal.

If people only knew the money influence they were buying!

Booing is not cool but it is to be expected.

They are STEALING our country buying it with counterfeit cash.

.

I don't know about the Romney booing incident.

But booing the Gov. of Oklahoma was completely justified. There were a small smattering of shouts when she said we had to all rally around the presumptuous nominee. However, she brought it upon herself when she responded, "Sounds like there are some Obama supporters out there!"

Drowning her out with Ron Paul chants was appropriate. Either she was incredibly ignorant, or she was trying to bait the Ron Paul supporters. By this time the Ron Paul delegates were probably a little frustrated by a promised chair election that never happened.

Paid Stream Propaganda...

An eyewitness account from a convention delegate corrected the erroneous story: “Romney was not booed off the stage. The truth is [Josh] Romney was booed when he called for an endorsement of the Romney slate. He continued his speech until the end. That is definitely documented. He was not booed off the stage.”

I don't get this... A

I don't get this...

A Romneytron sucker punched a Ron Paul delegate in the head last night, and the old media doesn't say boo.

We so much as say "boo," and now we're the big bad bullies?

Give me a freaking break.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

The man who did the hitting

The man who did the hitting was Russell Pierce's brother, Mr. HB 1071.

Excellent Point!

.

I'm certain that Dr.Paul is disappointed and embarrassed.....

about this incident. He doesn't deserve to be treated so poorly. We must remember that everything we do reflects back onto him,and therefore our behavior should be of the highest moral fiber. When behavior such as this occurs,it is a threat to the integrity of the revolution, and the campaign.People who do things like this show their ignorance, and lack of respect for others. If they can't do better,I wish they would just stay away.I think an apology is due.

Yeah right, were you

Yeah right, were you there?

Yes, I want an apology from the AZ GOP and all of those rude Romney supporters. They have an elitists attitude!

The Golden Rule

Let's not forget this. Instead of vocally "booing", show your boo with your involement, support and advancement of Ron Paul:)

From the PolicyMic article in Arizona:

Ron Paul’s liberty movement is being confronted with a true test –can they remain firm and successful in the face of their political opponents, while turning the other cheek repeatedly in order to maintain focus?
