Romney Victory, Inc.

Some questions we should answer:

1. Does Rule 11 apply regardless of whether or not Paul's campaign had an agreement with the RNC?

2. When was the Romney Victory Fund created?

3. Was this alliance created before the RNC asked the Paul campaign for approval?

How come every thing this comes up and I point out the penalty

(which is STATED IN THE RULES)) nobody remembers that states that participated in this can LOSE HALF THEIR DELEGATES.

The question is:

l. which states do we WANT to lose half their delegates?
and
2. What steps do we have to take to enforce the rules?

The Romnybots are so confident

that they are winning. so they are coming here to torment us poor beaten Paul supporters LOL.

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

Come on guys, please settle down!

Stop with the nonsense, the trolls are getting at you and we have victory in sight!

The guy who posted this has been here one day!

Legalize, you should know better.

Stay the course!

We MUST continue to trust the Good Doctor, he has never, EVER let us down before, you think he's gonna change now? Really?

This is getting ridiculous!

Some of you believe in God and have eternal faith in him, even while people are raped, murdered, born into absolutely horrible situations, yet your faith never waivers.

I'm not comparing Ron Paul to God but I will compare the message of Jesus to the message of Ron Paul. It lives eternally. (This is coming from an Atheist btw, me)

All issues like this need a few days to play out. I'm willing to bet it's not what you think it is at all.

Please! Just calm down.

Settled

Yea I have been looking at this all day. Sorry.

But I'm not sure that is a bad thing.

I believe what is happening is that the RNC has decided on a candidate. They are getting around Rule 11 because they are not actually sending money to primaries but kick starting the battle between Obama and Romeny.

I'm hoping the goal here is to run the campaign on clean money or something like that.

Stacked Deck?

I don't get it. Some deals probably were made because why would Paul refuse a joint fundraising effort? Maybe they just want clean money?

I just can't get comfortable with the possibility that people are going to these conventions and the RNC is fighting against those people by sending money to these states. How is that fair? How is it fair that people get punched in the head by Romney goons and possibly all for naught?

I don't think there is any other way to spin this. The RNC is probably financing state parties to fight against us.

"Donors also could contribute up to $10,000 to state-level Republican parties in key presidential battleground states, such as Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina and Nevada, to spend locally to help the Republican presidential candidate. (They can't give more than $40,000 to state parties if they have donated $30,800 to the RNC.)"

Maybe Ron Paul read the RULES of the GOP convention

and he SAW in there that participating states doing this can lose half their delegates....what do you think? Do you think Dr. Paul has read the rules? They are in big print and not over 40 pages or so.

SequoiaTrees4RonPaul

technically

I have changed my tune a bit. From what I've read, the RNC / Romney victory campaign is a fund raising effort. I'm guessing that since they are raising money for the general election and not the nomination, they skirt around the rules.

Convenient

You've changed your tune again

What's that mean?

What's that supposed to mean?

Let me be more specific then:

I changed my tune because i mis-interpreted the information I was reading. I assumed the RNC / Romney joint fundraiser was raising money that was then being sent to state primaries / conventions to be used against Paul.

Apparently that isn't the case and I'm guessing that is how the RNC would response if the rule was brought up. They are raising money for the general election. Now, I'm not saying that's any better...I'm just admitting I mus-interpreted the information in my comment above.

"Acknowledging that the nomination fight isn't over, the RNC also invited other candidates to participate in joint fundraising, but with little expectation they would agree, RNC officials said. A spokesman for Newt Gingrich said he didn't plan to work alongside the RNC. Rick Santorum's campaign said they had no plans to join forces, but "would be happy to raise money with the RNC." Ron Paul's campaign declined comment. It makes little sense for challengers scrapping for cash in the primaries to ask donors to give large sums to the party, GOP operatives said."

Hold on guys...

This shit is shady. There are candidates running and state parties and the RNC are working with one of the candidates in the running.

There is a chance these guys have violated Federal fundraising laws. Investigate this stuff everyone.

We just might be able to help disqualify Romney and force Paul to get his ass into the white house and start working for us and implementing the platform we've been working so hard for.

Rule 11 could also be enforced regardless of whether Paul approved it's circumvention or not.

the joke's on us....

and where's Ron?... I figured the champion of the constitution might have something to say about all this today.... screw it, we've been had. I've been fooled for the past 5 years. I dedicated my life to this bullshit. I lost my girlfriend of over ten years to this bullshit. I gave money I didn't even have. This is nothing but a fucking ponzi scheme for Romney & Co!.... this sucks. I hate feeling like a fool.

NOT all is lost...

I feel the same as you.
I gave 5 years of my life for this as well.
And I did it as a Canadian.

It's pretty much over for us and Ron Paul?

As far as I can tell...

The joint fundraiser between Idaho, Oklahoma, the RNC and others are busy scheduling events all over the place.

Honestly, I really need a reason to help Ron Paul raise $650K if the RNC is going to fund another candidate. Trying not to jump to conclusions here.

How can this be legal?

How is it legal that the Romney campaign can funnel money to state parties? Isn't this a slap in the face to groups working to nominate someone other then MItt Romney?

This shit seems shady as all hell.
