Arizona Delegates are Fuming, Publicly Demanding Answers from the Ron Paul Campaign

Doug Wead's blog is inundated with comments from Ron Paul supporters and delegates from Arizona. Read the comments....Not a pretty read.

I hope these issues can be addressed quickly. The main concern is the amount of personal energy and time spent by volunteers vs the lack of support they claim they are receiving from paid staffers.

Interesting read. Let's hope things calm down and these issues are resolved.

Some of the comments:
Chris:
I’m sorry but I’ve long been a supporter, donated as much as I can possibly afford, so please explain to me WHY a Ron Paul campaign person was not at both of these? We throw in tons of money and you guys can’t even show up to these events. Although romney is to blame, you can’t forget to take the blame, Doug, for not being more aware of these things and take steps to solve it. Where is Ron? Why is he not standing up and saying something. Why aren’t you for that matter. We’ve worked to dang hard for you guys not to spend a couple thousand in airplane tickets to make sure SOMEONE was there. You expected people to know what to do, when I bet romney was telling people what to do. See the difference? If you want to win, get your act together, make sure people from the campaign are at EVERY SINGLE STATE CONVENTION, instead of making us figure it out on our own and getting screwed.

Darren:
Correct. I’ve been saying the same for months. I heard some of these campaign guys make 10 grand a month. Where the f-ck is our money going? I’m sick of this. So nice of Doug to weigh in now, and still the information he’s imparting is not clear. The delegates know MUCH more about what happened this weekend. This is so disappointing. They are letting you the courageous delegates bleed without much aid.

Len Snow:
Amen. I’ve supported Dr. Paul since 07, and have yet seen a one commercial in MO. 4 days notice and we give you 2000 people in Kansas City at Union Station. Millions upon millions being donated. For what? just to fly Dr. Paul and his entourage across the country? Where is the leadership here? Why aren’t the Ron Paul managers screaming about the blackout to the press? No money left over to do something on PBS? Why is it ALL up to us? Wheres the guidance? I get more from RonPaulFlix.com than anywhere else. It’s time Ron Pauls handlers cried foul to the GOP.

I thought this was our revolution ...?

And Ron Paul has been invited to be a part of it?

Did you ever consider that his hands off approach might be purposeful? Isn't it TIME that the people took responsibility for learning what needs to be done and doing it?

Isn't it time we stop depending on our leaders and take the lead ourselves?

Isn't that so much of the message? We are responsible, we are the revolution, not Dr. Paul. And if he was around or his campaign was around to direct everything and tell us what to do - we become the sheep again. We are not sheep anymore. I know it is safe and comfortable being a sheep... but that won't get us anywhere.

Arizona did wonderful and will do wonderful on their own - the people of Arizona together with patriots all around this country have what they need to sort things out and get things done...

WE ARE THE REVOLUTION FOLKS... stop returning to the brainwashed sheep mentality that we must be lead instead of leading ourselves or that the campaign is better at things than the grassroots movement.

Be the revolution, be the leader, the doer that is needed....if we don't learn it now, when will we learn it? Time to get off the dependence pill, isn't it?

Here's the solution:

STOP BEING A@@HOLES! Anyone doing stuff you full well know isn't right, go look in the mirror and admit to yourself that you're being a d!#k! Simple. No need to know who you support or what your values or beliefs may be, you know when you are not being honest—not only with others, but also with yourself. There is so much truth around here that we should all be celebrating what is already a historical event taking place unlike anything before. If you are of faith, you must surely know to stand for the side of good and you must take responsibility for making mistakes along the way. Like being a thorn in the side of true freedom. Ron Paul doesn't want to enslave you any longer. That's right, slavery has never ended. It just became mandatory. Wake up! Get online and talk to some people about stuff that makes you uncomfortable. Grow a pair!! Man/Woman UP!

What ever the rEVOLution brings will benefit all of us. Yes, "all of us" includes you too. If you have a problem with being free, then you can just stand aside and take it. You have no choice. This is an emotional movement WITHIN people. Not some clever social media campaign or PR trick. Go read your Holy Books where they talk about this time we're all living through right now. The battle of Good vs. Evil. Period.

"No amount of darkness can hide a spark of light."

Anyone "fuming" and demanding answers from the campaign, look no

Further. The message from Dr. Paul, I believe, is in response to this weekend's corruption. The campaign is going to spend less money on beauty contests, and more money at the conventions! It costs money to get reps. (Attorneys, Parliament, etc) to these conventions. We have 6 this weekend, and to pay fees, travel, etc. It is NOT going to be cheap.
When Dr. Paul addresses us, we have to know he cannot give us ape very detail we long to hear, the media is waiting to use anything against us. We should realize that this announcement has EVERYTHING to do with this past weekend and the corruption that is getting out of hand. If he said, "this is because of what happened in AZ and OK" that would just make mittens toss a few million more out to get the job done, "by any means necessary".

Strange that the people who support

a man whose message is Personal Responsibility, whinge when someone from the party is not there to hold their hand, or pat them on the back for a job well done.
What do you want from the campaign? Babysitters?
Dr Paul is a message spreader, and wants YOU to pick up the message and run with it. Who said it would be easy? This campaign is up against a world wide, immensely powerful, many tentacled, criminal organisation, that is deeply embedded in in ALL the corridors of power, and you want them to stop and kiss your finger because it has a scratch on it and your feelings are hurt? Sheeesh!
Len Snow, if you need guidance, poke your eyes out, and get a dog!

Sorry, I have to address

Sorry, I have to address this. The only thing I can compare the campaign to is a business, because that's the universe I come from. A business runs well when the leader sets the path and the workers fulfill the goal. A leader who wavers and issues indistinct or contradictory "goals" will fail in the marketplace and this happens also on a campaign. Now, obviously we do not want a dictator or king to run the US, but a "dictator" or figurehead isn't necessarily a bad thing on a campaign. They must be laser-focused on the campaign and set broad goals that the underlings carry out with certainty. If the decisions they make are wrong, they get fixed. If the mistakes cannot be fixed, they are given to others to carry out. This loose set of "rules" is essential to getting things done. Government is one area where we do not necessarily want them acting with total efficiency, because they'd be a dictatorship. Government needs to be smaller and less involved. Not so with an efficient, well run campaign.

His message IS consistent

As far as I can tell his message IS consistent. The main stream media is twisting it maybe and the mania here might make it seem different but if you read HIS message - he is still as laser sharp as he has been from the beginning. Not sure it is Dr. Paul's message that is the problem at all... he is on target.

Yes, but that is your

Yes, but that is your interpretation. Even down to the folks working here every day to move toward that goal that news release looked (and to some it still looks) like throwing in the towel. I honestly cannot fathom why it would be considered a good idea to tell everyone about scaling back visiting every state due to "low funds" or simply to save money. Why announce that? Just tell the individual locations what you WILL be doing to support their efforts and keep the calendar full. Neither you, nor I can assume too much in either direction at this point, but it looked bad in the delivery and it must have started bad in the conception because it was full of defeatist wording.

From day one,

the Paul campaign stated that it would work the delegate system. What has changed?
The leadership is strong, and clever, and the people who don't swallow the MSM bull dirt are steadfast behind them.
Power to them all.

Less money in 2012

It doesn't help that our fundraising total for this campaign as of May 1st 2012, is more than $1million less than what we had raised before May 1st in the 2008 campaign. In terms of fundraising the 2012 campaign with 3x more support, has not been as effective at raising money as the 2008 campaign was.

college kids don't have any

college kids don't have any money but so much emphasis has been placed in an area that may benefit in the future but without money everything dies on the vine. This is sad. I've never seen a commercial here in SW Fla either.

Yeah...Those Poor College Kids.........

The have cell phones....

Computers.......

Money for clothes......

But yet....they can't save up 20 bucks to donate to the Paul campaign.

It's on us

Ron Paul and the campaign are not going to be around forever. I understand why the supporters and grassroots are upset, but this is good for us as a movement. The fact is we're taking over, and more amazingly, we're doing it ourselves with little guidance. The campaign taught us how to walk, and from that we've learned how to run. We'll fall down and get our cuts and bruises along the way, but we've learned how to organize and operate and that knowledge can never be taken away from us.
Again, the campaign is very important and I understand why we want and need their help, but I think it is best for us that we learn how to do things on our own. I don't want people to be dependent on the campaign in the same way that I don't want people to be dependent on government. We must rely upon ourselves, We the People, and our undying love of freedom.

I recall request for $2.5 million to run the campaign planned.

Arizona and Oklahoma made heads turn, they did it not the Campaign.

Self-reliance, is it the key to success?

Here in Michigan current rules make precinct delegates beholding to the "win" and "place" candidates selected before Super Tuesday.

No amount of money will help, but we go to promote the Constitution and sending men and women to office who will take their oath seriously. Or else!

Our challenge is to take lemon 'rules' and make lemonade.

My hat is off to those who have gone before. You've kept the ball rolling so others can pass it forward. Thanks!

ron paul advocates

states rights and freedom from the feds. he thinks tax money should stay in the hands of the locals and not go to the federal middle man. maybee that's how the movement should handle its funds. instead of sending money to the Paul campaign, donate it to your local efforts and your state convention needs. it it's a grassroots movement, then maybe the money should stay closer to its roots!

interesting concept

Doug Wead just posted another

Doug Wead just posted another blog post about what has been going on in both OK and AZ. From what I've read there was campaign staff at both of these events and his initial reports came from them... He is also now gathering information from others who were their, since there has been conflicting reports coming in. It does look like they are trying to sort things out as best as they can.

Also, the donations given to the campaign so far has helped and kept us going... But please don't think that they have as much as Romney and Obama do under their belts. This campaign is still considered grassroots and is working with more limited resources than the others. This said, I don't think it's fair to expect them to be able to do whatever Romney is doing, etc...

Are you talking about the blog on the official rp2012 site?? If so maybe this would need more than a moderator since I'm sure Dr. Paul is having a hard time finding the time to write entries for the blog. This I think would be a good gig for someone with experience in journalism. I do like your idea though... It would help keep people informed and updated to keep frustrations to a minimum.

He has his own blog that I go read quite often,I thought this was the one you were refering to,sorry!,Lol.

I don't think you guys get it

Yes, I would like some stronger help at the Conventions but a Parlimentarian would be the best help we could get. We got tremendous support and guidance from the State Ron Paul campaign. THEY are the reason we are doing as well as we are racking up delegates.

What you don't get is that things will NEVER CHANGE as long as "they" run the party and not "us." That is the point here. Yes, I want Ron Paul to be my President. God knows I do. BUT he can't do it all by himself. Four years goes quickly and then the next snake oil salesman will be elected in because the GOP didn't change.

We have to become the GOP. THAT is the message over and over and over again. It isn't about Ron Paul becoming President. His message is a revolutionary one which means we have to take over the Party and bring it back to its roots. Doing that means becoming a PC. Go to BecomeaPC.com and get off your butt and stop complaining. You want real change? Then do the hard work and become the GOP. The PCs are the ones who vote all of these clowns in so if you want the clowns out, then become a PC and vote them out!
