Message from Ron Paul 5/14/2012

NOTE: Please stop creating new threads on this same topic. Stay focused! Become a delegate, go to your conventions!

As I reflect on our 2012 Presidential campaign, I am humbled by the supporters who have worked so hard and sacrificed so much. And I am so proud of what we have accomplished. We will not stop until we have restored what once made America the greatest country in human history.

This campaign fought hard and won electoral success that the talking heads and pundits never thought possible. But, this campaign is also about more than just the 2012 election. It has been part of a quest I began 40 years ago and that so many have joined. It is about the campaign for Liberty, which has taken a tremendous leap forward in this election and will continue to grow stronger in the future until we finally win.

Our campaign will continue to work in the state convention process. We will continue to take leadership positions, win delegates, and carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention that Liberty is the way of the future.

Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted. Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have. I encourage all supporters of Liberty to make sure you get to the polls and make your voices heard, particularly in the local, state, and Congressional elections, where so many defenders of Freedom are fighting and need your support.

I hope all supporters of Liberty will remain deeply involved - become delegates, win office, and take leadership positions. I will be right there with you. In the coming days, my campaign leadership will lay out to you our delegate strategy and what you can do to help, so please stay tuned.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

Romney's entire political career will be done for if he doesnt drop out early. the mainstream media is going to have to swallow an elephant FOR ALL THE LIES THEYVE PORTRAYED. THIS ESPECIALLY. SAYING RON PAUL DROPPED OUT. MAN. THEY HAVE LOST all CREDIBILITY!

No sense in trying to win pointless Primaries, when election fraud and the MSM is running so hard against us. Even if we did win a primary, do you think it will be correctly reported?

Our only course of action now is to take back the whole darn thing by getting organized, educate yourself on the rules, become a Delegate, and most importantly, STAY CALM and POSITIVE. This strategy IS working all over the US and we can still make this happen if we keep it up.

Not sure why everyone is so negative recently. No one said this is going to be easy. Freedom is never easy in a world of tyranny.

Now lets get out there and get this done!

"Freedom is never easy in a world of tyranny" - ME

Really. He tells us the

Really. He tells us the truth, we do not have a zillion dollars to fight an ad war with Romney and PROBably did it because we keep (not me) screaming for ads. He holds giant rallies and the votes do not show it, in fact, precincts are lost, ballot boxes stuffed, and it is quite obvious fraud is going on. SO GUESS WHAT? The campaign can not DO anything; The PEOPLE have to! This tireless minority ever igniting brush fires in the minds of men. IF anyone says to ME, I hear Ron Paul dropped out, I will be saying. "Nope. Still in it to win it. He is just counting on us, now. Don't you think he would make a better President than Obamney?

Dr Paul

will continue the battle in the caucus states. There just isn't enough money to battle in the primaries. We need to get more people to donate

Then Ron Paul needs more

Then Ron Paul needs more money.

I'll donate more if I have to. He's up against Romney's big bank friendly donors and suits.

More money it is. I'm all in.

Very True

Very True

Doug Wead

Has a new blog post on the matter:

Doug is right...

now get to work and get more PCs

Doug`s blog explained it

Doug`s blog explained it perfectly. I had to have bothered Dr. Paul when the 2 older people were throwing blows. The neocons are willing to get ugly and that`s not how the Doc rolls. Always the true statesman...

All this fighting makes Ron Paul nervous?

obviously this is not a man ready to lead a revolution if this statement is true.

any of you who are not prepared to take up arms against your gov't to secure your liberty please vote this down.

What a joke you are

Crawl back into Mittens camp where you belong, troll.

Step back, take a deep breath and look at the strategy

1) Continue to try and win the primaries which he cannot do without the media, spend more money on these un-winnable primaries and spend only small amounts of time winning so many delegates.

2) Spend all your time winning MORE delegates to the National Convention and literally take the nomination from Romney.

Guys, hes trying to tell you that not only we can make a massive impact at the national convention, hes trying to tell you we can win this thing. And this is all because of winning delegates, whats the logical thing to do to win the republican nomination in this case, stop wasting time on these primaries and focus on what he can do to win.

What do you think RP did

What do you think RP did after his efforts in Congress were defeated? He kept pressing the issues for another 30 years, that's what. That's what a person does who has principles and sticks to them no matter what. And he's starting to get his way.

What he didn't do was say "gg" before the game is over so he can emotionally freeroll everyone. Some of you need to grow a backbone and take a page out of his book.

The campaign goofed on this release

I'm sorry but I'm sick to my stomach after learning of this just now.

I know Ron Paul isn't calling it quits, but the tone of the message itself gives our adversaries fuel to pounce on us more.

They should have just kept it quiet and change the strategy behind the scenes. Now everyone will spin it as "Ron Paul is out".

New voters might not come aboard, people that thought he was in it full steam will say he's out now.

I already see the headlines starting.

I know myself that Ron is still in the game STRONGLY, but those without the inside info like us might think of it as defeat.

I'm sorry but I'm frustrated. I want nothing more than victory for RP, for us, for the nation.

Maybe I should just collect my thoughts before writing anymore.

The original Press Release was a HUGE MISTAKE!!!! We now have had clarifications by Doug Wead, Jack Hunter, Jesse Benton and a brand new URGENT e-mail from the California RP Campaign begging California RP Supporters not to give-up.

This press release has caused MASSIVE damage to the Campaign, don't kid yourself's. Damage control is in overdrive trying to minimize this disaster.

I would support Benton's

I would support Benton's removal as a positive move for the campaign. Might also save a few bucks.

lol lol

get a clue. im sure ur ramblings will be alot more positive if you do!

bbc and every other 'news' organization who've INTENTIONALLY blacked out Dr. Paul, has all of a sudden come to life on reporting on him? when they feel it's a negative story they'll jump right on it and when they feel it's a positive they'll ask "where's Ron Paul"? I'm embarrassed FOR them to say the least. On to Tampa!

Ron Paul has won every state.

Ron Paul has won every state. Fraud doesnt change the truth that the media and GOP are well aware of.
Anyone can see how in fear of him they are. If you were paying attention you would know that.
And by the way he has officially won more than 5 states.

The truth sees everything regardless of whether or not we do. We are inside of it.
I love Ron Paul. I had to really sit down and think about what would inspire this man to make the statement he did today. I don't know if anyone agrees with me but right now is the worst time to have put any brake on the campaign momentum, Three days before a money bomb expected to be huge will now be much less no doubt, all these supporters hell bent on winning their conventions over the next three weeks.

This just is not adding up!

I have to believe something is very wrong and we are not being told. In Nevada, when Carol Paul introduced her husband to the mic the last sentence that came out her mouth was that he was so afraid that something was going to happen. Its pretty clear to me that something did happen and I want to know what.

Don't hate the player, hate the game!!!

I think this has some merit to discuss.

I always have feared for the whole Paul family.

Look what they did to Ross Perot. I believe he was severly threatened. Who EVER heard from him again. Yet, he had breakfast with bernanke the other day. He has some serious serious stuff going on in Washington. I say don't distract the man. Just go win an election for him. Send money to PACs and let them take charge. I think we all do a damn good job of being creative, diligent, and relentless. :-)

Man, not the most confident

Man, not the most confident message I`ve ever heard from the Doc. Makes me wonder what was actually discussed during breakfast with old Benny. I truly despise central banks and put nothing past them. Just saying...

If you want pointless TV ads

Vote for Romney. I signed up here on Daily paul because I felt like I wanted to respond to an article about the happenings in Nevada. I though this was offical "hang out" spot for real hardcore Paul supporters. I am used to being on other sites and seeing People bash Ron Paul and say negative things, but mostly it was from Paul haters. I have to say I am totally disgusted and shocked by the attitudes I see here. People talking down about this message, saying he has quit or dropping out. I do my best to stay hopeful and remain positive, but peoples behavior here today has not been very nice. To those who remained positive and really understand what is going on, I salute you. But those people are ready to give up? Shame on you.

Like I said before, you want fancy TV ads, a huge national campaign with winning popular polls due to rigged machines and elections? Than go support Mitt Romney or even Obama. You want integrity, intelligence, honesty and true American spirit? Then continue supporting Ron Paul.

I didn't think I would ever be disgusted by other Paul supporters. Thanks.

They arent Ron Paul supporters? and just pretending to be to put anegative spin on this message to benefit their neocon selves. what they dont get is

Come High, Ho or Hither

Hey Bud, I think you need to

Hey Bud, I think you need to be able to tell the difference between being pissed at the ineptness of Paul's CAMPAIGN STAFF and dissatisfaction with Paul himself. Dr Paul is and always will be the most heroic and brilliant political figure in this nation's history. Nobody's attacking him OR the message.

Ron Paul's message is clear.

Sadly, money is generally drying up. Its because some of us are just spent out, and the media has given the rest of us the impression that Romney has won. We simply don't have the unlimited resources to campaign effectively that we would like to have.

But its the beauty pagents that are expensive. The die-hard supporters are already in the trenches and fighting hard for delegates. That isn't expensive and that moves forward.

Ron Paul is NOT GIVING UP. He is merely telling us not to expect lavish spectacles in states that haven't voted yet.

If we can win this thing it will be done by winning delegates and that fight continues.

i dont know...

that the money is 'drying up', i took it as it would be impossible to keep up with all the ad spots the bankers will provide for rombama so lets keep doing this grass roots as WE have. i do agree with everything else though jet.

On campaign website:

Today from Buzzfeed:

“Asked if this is a dropout, Paul’s campaign manager Jesse Benton said ‘Absolutely not! We are focusing our efforts squarely on winning delegates and party leadership positions at state conventions.”

Hopefully this will help clear up some of today’s confusion:

The campaign knows what they

The campaign knows what they are doing. Paul knew exactly what the reaction would be to the email that was sent. When I read the email, I knew exactly how it was going to be spun even though he said nothing about ending his campaign, didn't we all? Running a campaign against the machine is a chess match and Paul has learned to be crafty over the years. I have a few ideas why he might have done it but I want to see how the next few days play out.

Just help fight negative rhetoric

Posts like these help. let's make sure this thread on daily paul counters ALL NEGATIVE posters comments. It is imperative that we battle the negativity that may come from neocon spies trying to take advantage of the situation to put a negative spin on this strategic move!

RON PAUL 2012!

A penny saved is a penny to bounce off of Obama's forehead

He would be kicking a dead horse spending valuable monies on anti-Romney ads. What need is there to spend money on a contest that is being won? Ron Paul being the fiscally sound statesman that he is has decided to save funds for the upcoming battle against Obama. That is how I see it.

He is saying get serious. He also knows we have been serious. Some of you for a very long time now. Others only recently. This is his vote of confidence in the grassroots. Ron Paul knows how he has come to be where he is currently, better than anyone and is wisely letting his supporters be supporters in every sense of the word.

Bravo Mr. Paul! Better spend a little bit of that money on suntan lotion because Tampa is going to be HOT!
