Who here is UNITED to keep going?Submitted by reualc on Wed, 05/16/2012 - 08:07
I've read many posts over the last two days with a certain objectivity while also trying to keep our opposition in mind. It seems that many of us here are doing exactly what they would love us to do.
Not me. I for one will keep fighting the good fight. Who's with me?
I have to admit, FOR ME part of this was about pride. I would love for the MSM to choke on their own words and to be able to tell everyone "see, I told ya so", but that's not what THIS movement is about.
Despite the frustration many here may feel about the "vagueness" of the recent campaign statements, this campaign is FAR from over, and there is still much work to be done.
Dig into why you are here in the first place, and remember this isn't the first time red meat has been thrown out to the salivating press.
Now, with that out of the way, we have some work to do this weekend. Here are some novice but helpful suggestions to keep moving forward (part was posted earlier):
-Keep your cool, don't ever let them see you sweat
-Become a delegate
-Have a meeting before your convention to organize all RP delegate supporters (go over rules)
-Make sure you have a parliamentarian on board for your convention. call (888) 627-2929 for help
-Make motion number one for a permanent chair before anything else when the convention begins
-Compare all slates
-Check all credentials
-Bring a camera to stream or record proceedings
-Take a pocket megaphone if the microphones are cut off
-Use twitter etc. to broadcast important info to RP delegates/supporters
-Do not boo, hiss etc. Make motions, or points of order, be firm
-Pack a lunch, or eat the pizza:)
-If the convention is tossed out and RP supporters reconvene, document and make sure the process adheres to rules to do so
-Notify local media if anything strange happens
-Keep donating (May 17)
I'm sure I've let something off of this list and possibly some of these suggestions might not be applicable to some of these future conventions.
The point is that we need to be ready for whatever they throw at us. This race has only just begun!
