"I'm going to go hard left on you here, I'm going ACLU," syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer said in opposition to the use of drones on the U.S. homeland. "I don't want regulations, I don't want restrictions, I want a ban on this. Drones are instruments of war. The Founders had a great aversion to any instruments of war, the use of the military inside even the United States. It didn't like standing armies, it has all kinds of statutes of using the army in the country."
"A drone is a high-tech version of an old army and a musket. It ought to be used in Somalia to hunt bad guys but not in America. I don't want to see it hovering over anybody's home. Yes, you can say we have satellites, we've got Google Street View and London has a camera on every street corner but that's not an excuse to cave in on everything else and accept a society where you're always under -- being watched by the government. This is not what we want," Krauthammer said on the panel portion of FOX News' "Special Report."

I Saw this Video Today.
The answer is:
YES, Ron Paul has had an effect on Krauthammer, an otherwise pedantic GOP-dicotomy Globalist NWO supporter.
It was a shame to see this video, but also a spark of light. Krauthammer was an EARLY and VOCAL SUPPORTER of the GWB 'GWOT', as long as our high-tech weaponry was deployed 'OVER THERE', but; NOW, the tables are turning (as they always do), and he is running scared (people like this ALWAYS DO). I suppose that his NEXT 'big article' is going to describe his apologetic position for the use of DRONES, and will try to make it look as though OBAMA is the culprit (their tweaking R/D 'false dicotomy' believing 'media personalities' ALWAYS try to 'SPIN' the story in 'THEIR' favor, when it suits them).

I'm not convinced Krauthammer would make the same statement of Bush was still President. But the statement is correct anyway - even as milquetoast as it is.

I assume, from your verbiage, that you are not from the United States ('arse' versus 'ass', and 'milquetoast' versus 'milk-toast' (over here, we simply call it 'French Toast'. Most U.S. CONUS 'edumacated' sheople would mot recognize the 'QUE' as being actually derived from the FRENCH, and they changed the name of this breakfast delicacy several tens of decades ago, after the Frenchies had their socialist-led revolution, in the early 1800's. It is, in fact SO BAD, that a popular joke over here refers to the French national bird as a 'DUCK' {as in reference to the MAGINOT LINE, [which they STILL don't know about in their commiesymp 'history' classes] that identifies everyone FRENCH as 'cowards'}). A sidebar, but I digress:
This IS INDEED a 'High Crimes and Misdemeanors' issue, and you seem to know our Constitution better than 95% of our own people here.

Actually I live in Ohio :) And am a lawyer (not a Constitutional lawyer, unfortunately).
I used the term 'arse' because it feels less like swearing, and milquetoast because it has become a term meaning soft, or timid. Technically it is used to describe a person, but I have seen it applied for weak or understated arguments (Judge Napolitano uses it this way on occasion). This usage is derived from Caspar Milquetoast, a character in H.T. Webster's comic strip "The Timid Soul", from the 1930s.

But yes - I agree 100% on your comment. And I seriously doubt that Congress is unaware of this. Their problem is that they are completely dominated by their respective Party leaders. The Sovietization of America has deep roots.
That is why seeing Ron Paul supporters taking over the GOP really lightens my spirits. Its a big victory, though only one battle so far. To win the war, the same needs to happen in the Democratic Party so the Republicrat dominance of federal and state governments can finally end. Until the Parties take a back seat to the Law - the Law will continue to be thrown out when inconvenient to the Parties.
