IF..You Think You are Beaten, You are...

UPDATE: I Posted this almost a month ago.....
......I've "re"-posted it in support of all of you here.
Thanks for your thoughtful considerations.

"If": You think you are beaten, you are...
"If": You think you dare not, you don't...

If you'd like to win, but think you can't?
...It's almost a cinch you won't.

"If": you think you'll lose, you're lost______

For, "Out in the World", we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will,

It's all in the state of mind,
Life's battles don't always go,
To the stronger and faster man...
But sooner or later...the man who wins?

....Is the one who thinks he can________.

I dedicate this to all who believe....
..and all who are troubled at this time.

"If", by Rudyard Kipling, recited by Harvey Keitel.

Keep the Faith...We have only begun to fight.

Thanks for the post. Means a lot. Really.

Hang In There

Fellow Patriot!
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.

"Beyond the blackened skyline, beyond the smoky rain, dreams never turned to ashes up until.........
...Everything CHANGED !!

Yes, It Was a Magnificent Speech

..And I, for one, would never suggest that he is "beaten".
Please read the verse again...It's certainly not about defeat.
It most certainly is about victory through perserverance.

Yes, victory through perserverance........
Isn't that the crux of "our" mission?...and the poem also!

Thomas Paine talked about victory being sweeter, the one that was hard fought...not easily attained...that's so true.

Thanks for the link to Dr Ron's speech...I had already watched it live..in it's entirety that day.

Oh I wasn't implying

or meaning to, that you were saying that, I thought it would come off as an emphasis on not being beaten. They'd read your post then see an affirmation that Ron Paul isn't beaten either.

Thanks for Clarifying that

...I really apreciate your expressing that...I admit, I wasn't sure how the verses were perceived, and whether you were posting the "links" in rebuttal.
As you can see there was negativity (not yours) floating around in the initial post's replies....sometimes it's frightening....people in fear usually lash out desperately....I felt a need to get something positive in the "grapevine" here. Peace!

Considering All That's Transpired

..In the last few days I felt the need to update this and repost for your consideration, and reflection upon such.

Election tallies are not "a state of mind."

Philosophy is a wonderful thing, but this is politics. When you are bloody, lying on the floor while your opponent rubs your nose in your blood, pretending "We are winning" is not so much fun.

How about this "philosophy" - if you stand by the truth and refuse to waiver, you will lose everything you ever cared about because people love LIES and LIARS." Do it anyway, That's how I roll.

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

I Hear Ya..

..but gotta say.... I don't equate election tallies as a state of mind, and wouldn't infer that from this poem.

"If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken,
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools...

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew,
To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you,
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!...."

I know it's been a tough road judging by your posts ...just hoping you'd get a "recharge" from a different perspective.
Thanks for your hard work and effort.

Send it to Ron Paul and his campaign managers

I think the main people who think that we can't win are at the top. That's what has caused the ruckus. This poem is exactly why you can't have the leadership come out and say that they have decided that Romney has it locked up already.
