Curious. How many of you would ever support Rand Paul for President? Vote 'Up' or 'Down'.

Just curious to see where we are here. Say that 2012 does not happen for Ron Paul, and Obama wins. Would you support a 2016 run by Rand Paul?

Faster than you can say, "Ron

Faster than you can say, "Ron lost, now what?"

If Paul is the nominee in 2016 and the Dems offer a Neo-Con

Then Rand has my vote. If we somehow get a Liberty candidate vs. a Peace and Freedom candidate, then my hopes of 2008 (Paul vs. Kucinich) will be realized.

Jack Wagner

Seriously, could you imagine an election where

when asked about the major candidates you truthfully said, "I like them both."

Jack Wagner

I personally hope he loses

I personally hope he loses his Senate seat when his term is up, consider him for President after what he's said and done, I'd spit in his face if he came up to me asking me for my vote.

And I would hope he'd slap

And I would hope he'd slap you down like a cur.

No

I have 4 years to make a decision, but at this point, I would say no.

While people are speaking of, and rallying behind a possible Rand Paul run, I am hoping for another Ron Paul like libertarian.

Many of us have spent years giving our vote away. I'm done. I will give endorsements only to like minded liberty candidates.

The interview today with

The interview today with Levin in which Rand not only praised Romney but failed to contract Levin's assertion is hardly to Rand's credit. If Ron somehow blocks Romney, however, Rand will look like a brilliant rope a dope artist. If Ron fails miserably, Rand will look like a complete opportunist who betrayed his father.

Ask Who would support Judge Andrew Napolitano in 2016 ???

But just to be fair, change your question:

Who do you support more for the 2016 Presidential race?

1) Rand Paul or
2) Judge Andrew Napolitano

I bet The Judge wins more votes than Rand Paul.

He certainly inspires me! And I can see him winning ANY debate with ANY candidate. Many Republicans thought Newt was a great debater, well I got news for you, the Judge can do circles around Newt any day of the week.

People on here are insane for not likeing Rand

No ones perfect guys and y'all know it. Rand would make a great President. He's never going to be exactly like his dad. So get over it guys. Sometimes people have to make compromises. It's called real life. I mean seeing all the comments on here saying they won't vote for Rand just because of one or two little things is insane. It really ticks me off...I mean really, how do you ever expect to change anything in this country if you can't even make a few little compromises and vote for a candidate that's virtually a carbon copy of your hero? Rand's voting record is almost exactly like his dad's. And trying to compare Rand to Ron is just not possible. No one can hold a candle to Ron. We all know it. It's a losing argument.

Anyways, I'm done venting. Ron Paul 2012! Rand Paul 2016!

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeles

I'm used to my principles

I'm used to my principles ticking people off, and it doesn't bother me one bit.

Absolutely!

Who needs another accommodating tool of the Establishment? We already have plenty of those.

Compromise

is what got us into this situation.

So, what, you're just going

So, what, you're just going to vote for the next version of Obomney instead? Or abstain? Or some 3rd party nutjob who doesn't stand a chance? Yeah, that'll fix things.

Dumbasses.

Yep.

We are dumbasses sticking to principle and consistency and rule of law instead of slimy Neocon tools and fake conservatism.
If that makes me a dumbass, so be it.

A week is a long time in politics.

Four years is two hundred and eight weeks.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

No Way

Rand seems to have strayed to far from his father. I could only bring myself to vote for him if he where to become as good of a man as Ron Paul.

I believe in Hope & Change..I Hope the government will Change
Spindale-Rutherford County-North Carolina

Not now.

He was on Fox business news saying Romney would fix the economy. I don't trust Rand. I've studied Ron Paul since 2007 and Ron Paul has a record that proves he's the real deal. Rand does not.

Are you kidding? This is a

Are you kidding? This is a guy who because of a dispute with the American Board of Ophthalmology over recertification of physicians, decides to go out and form his own board.

That's like starting your own country because you disagree with the constitution.

Here's the article and take note of the third paragraph of the second page.

This is funny that he would challenge the "establishment" in this manner, when private organizations that police the marketplace and set standards are precisely what the Pauls call for, as opposed to government intervention.

Did we read the same article?

Did we read the same article? And what ever happened to competition? Sounds like a folk hero in the eyeball world to me.

Total Misrepresentation

Rand is joined by over 200 ophthalmologists who were certified after 1992 (date ?) and were being required by older ophthalmologists to re-certify every ten years. The older ophthalmologists exempted themselves from re-certification.

Clearly wrong and, perhaps, a part of the Obama-RomneyCare plan for the government to take over the medical field in its entirety.

Rand started and heads this new organization of eye doctors who have most likely received more training than the older ones. Hardly like "starting your own country because you disagree with the Constitution."

The government has no business in medicine.

Not Today..

...But I'm hoping he shapes up...

Bad food, worse weather, please rEVOLution the states so I can bring my family back home!
Rosa Koire for for President!

I'm not

making any commitments to any candidate until I hear what they have to say and see their past record. I'm open to the best choice at the time. The best now is Ron Paul 2012!

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!

"Truth, Justice, and the American Way!"

Yes

We will need a President to keep us on track after 8 years of Paul!

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

Question - what was Ron like

Question - what was Ron like when he was younger? Was he always as he is now, or did his views change over time such that I might expect the same from Rand?

23

He did change on one issue

He used to be pro capital punishment. Now he is correctly against it. The state cannot be trusted and has killed too many innocent people on death row.

He's not my number one pick

He's not my number one pick for the next election (that would be Justin Amash) but I would certainly support him.

I would support him but

he wouldn't be my first choice, I would vote for Ron Paul, Judge Napolitano, and Justin Amash for president before Rand Paul.

Here's where he fits on a list of potential presidential candidates vying for my vote

I like Rand Paul

I just Hate it when he plays Politics and says the Craziest things on TV... But thats Politics for yah!

His name is Edward Snowden

What is Capitalism?

Absolutely

I like Rand a lot, he tends to be more pragmatic than a RP. He fights the fights he can win instead of every fight that can be fought.
