To the booers and the dismayed

When you're angry, be cool instead.
When you're booing, be quiet instead.
When you're dismayed, network and get organized instead.
When you want to show hate, show love instead.

Be smarter.

When you shout your discord to the opposition it's wasted. They already know. They don't care. It's a waste of energy. Booing isn't affective. It works in their favor. The corrupt are corrupt in the first place. It's a lack of control that fuels anger, hate and so on. You may not be able to control others but you can control yourself and that is one thing that many do not master. Instead just be silent.

You could shout to the world and tell them the way things are going to be but unless everyone agrees with you it isn't going to happen. Right now the opposition is telling you the way things are going to be. If you don't accept it then it won't happen. So don't accept it. Their words will be wasted and then you haven't wasted any energy or gone to the trouble of getting angry over nothing.

Belief is powerful. It navigates you to the direction of anything you want. When you stop believing and then think they will win because they have power and you're angry about it - then you've already lost. You're giving power to their belief. You have to believe what YOU want and work HARD for it. Never get dismayed, pitfalls are just a part of it all - in the end the message will prevail because you choose to believe this, you all can. Just keep going, going over every obstacle in your way because your belief is what you choose to make become reality. Don't grow tired of the journey because the destination is worth it, even IF you get a few flat tires.

So if you want something - believe in it.

Getting angry and bothered is not focusing on that belief, it's focusing on theirs. They can pronounce their belief all they want but they are empty words to be if you don't believe in them and logically there is no need to waste your energy to or drop your manners.

NEVER drop your manners for anyone, they're not worth it. Being polite is very affordable. Rudeness is costly.

People around you will start to join your belief if you're positive and polite.

The conventions are club meetings essentially. They're a "country club" for those that want to wield power who otherwise can't get it. It makes them feel special. If you walk into in a country club like a rabble what do you think will happen? They think of it as their club and you as the outsider.

They don't like losing power and position because their livelyhoods depend on it. They don't like the message. They're going to tell you how it's going to be because it's a tool they will want to use. They're going to give you a hard time. If you know it and are going to expect it then why get angry? It's a waste of your energy. Go home later and shout in a paper bag if you have to or swing a baseball bat for a few hours if you have to let it all out.

Rock up to the conventions and keep things quiet. It's GOOD the media think Ron is out, they'll lose interest and no one but the Ron Paul people will know about the conventions. Who cares if the media isnt reporting, its actually a positive so complaining about the media, it's wasted energy, energy and time that could be put to better use - like raising funds and supporting elected delegates.

We want to be the only ones showing up. We want to be the majority vote there. Having violence and media attention is not good for the campaign when it rallies the troops of the opposition. Be polite even when they aren't. So please, less talk about booing. You guys are already winners just for being a Ron Paul supporters. Act like winners. Really start believing in our future, the future we determine and of course - build towards it.

I just want to say....

I am a mature 43-year-old nurse, mother of three, and I would've booed.

I was yelling at my computer screen, so I don't question whether or not I would've booed, I just would've.

However, knowing that it upset Dr. Paul, I will refrain from booing at my own state's convention.

Dr. Ron Paul is winning, Romney and Obama should just drop out.

Dr. Ron Paul does not show his anger, a fine example.

Argue what you like but those are suggestions to improve upon what were currently doing (which currently gives them an excuse to throw out RP people). Suggestions to help things go along smoothly to help us win.

Let me say this without being negative one way or the other.

The Booers and the Dismayed need an EXPLANATION.

They are reacting to the complete seismic shift from the official campaign of the past week---especially, Jesse Benton's letter of May 15th.

We need an explanation. Ron Paul needs to make a "straight talk" video or a speech and explain what the heck is going on.

We need to know from Ron Paul if Jesse Benton is speaking on his behalf in the May 15th letter.

We need to know if Dr. Paul believes Romney is a heartbeat away from having the needed delegates to cinch the nomination.

We need to know if the battle for delegates is now being fought to influence the GOP platform, instead of electing Ron Paul President of the United States.

We need to know why the current "money bomb" is being described as the LAST money bomb.

That sort of thing.

Any decision Ron Paul has made in this campaign, his supporters will respect. Until then the fracturing and finger-pointing will continue.

In a nutshell

Here's the way I see it. Basically the effort to win delegates and get Ron Paul elected was like a blazing fire. And Benton showed up with a freakin' fire extinguisher and doused the blaze. So yes we deserve an explanation for why he did this. It's not wrong, unusual, or bad for people to question this. When you smell a rat, you have to go looking for the rat. You can't just sit there and let it stink up the whole place. You go find it and dispose of it.

Ok, so somebody threatened the family

and while Ron is used to it, grandson in law isn't. Let it be and carry on.

Can both of you wait to have your explanations?

Time will tell the truth of what really happened. This has never been about what the media is reporting. Lets get back to the real work of getting Ron Paul in the whitehouse.

I had a dream last night that I was competing for something and this group asked me to tell them my favorite quote. I told them Walt Whitman said "Do I contradict myself? Then I contradict myself. Once again

booing is not disrespectful. It is just an expression of disapproval, like cheers or applause are an expression of approval.

I'm so tired of people who think it is just fine to applaud, but not to boo or jeer.

Please grow up.



Silence is more profound and deafening than boos or jeers.

Think on it for a moment.

Speakers to a crowd NEED crowd reaction.

The most disconcerting reaction is no reaction. A cold blank emotionless stare.

Worse, would be people in the audience snoozing. (if just pretending, quietly of course)

Silence does work, but really only ...

when you have a smattering of applause from supporters and it becomes obvious that most in the crowd are shunning the speaker.

But when half the crowd is applauding or cheering, the other half must boo to let their disapproval register, otherwise their silence has no real impact.

Take, for example, the GOP debates. Often part of the crowd would cheer in response to a candidate's answer, while another part of the crowd was booing.

It's just the way it is. Ever watched the British parliament?

Point taken. And yes, I have watched. I wish our own

legislatures would be so boisterous.

My biggest gripe with my State Legislators and my Congressman and both Senators is the lack of fire in the belly to be present for all proceedings and to SPEAK UP.

This b.s. game of making all the deals OFF the floor is a huge problem.

The point of a DELIBERATIVE body is not to cut deals over lunch, but to DEBATE, ARGUE, LISTEN, CONTEMPLATE, and DELIBERATE. I would say our BIGGEST problem, no matter what the issue, is a true lack of participation by our various legislators. It is the source of ALL other problems in government. The other issues wouldn't exist if they'd actually sit, listen, speak, and vote. (for real, without proxies)

Hell, just forcing them to sit and listen to someone read an entire bill aloud ONCE, much less the required THREE times would put an instant end to multi-hundred page bills, and render extinct even the mere notion of one over 1000 pages.

That alone would do wonders.

Booing is Okay

This is politics, not a middle school talent show. Booing should be the norm.

Booing is fine, But Dr. Paul is smart

Because we want to be smart, we shouldn't do it yet.
For strategic reasons, Dr. Paul has asked us not to.
