To the booers and the dismayedSubmitted by R..... on Fri, 05/18/2012 - 17:23
When you're angry, be cool instead.
When you're booing, be quiet instead.
When you're dismayed, network and get organized instead.
When you want to show hate, show love instead.
When you shout your discord to the opposition it's wasted. They already know. They don't care. It's a waste of energy. Booing isn't affective. It works in their favor. The corrupt are corrupt in the first place. It's a lack of control that fuels anger, hate and so on. You may not be able to control others but you can control yourself and that is one thing that many do not master. Instead just be silent.
You could shout to the world and tell them the way things are going to be but unless everyone agrees with you it isn't going to happen. Right now the opposition is telling you the way things are going to be. If you don't accept it then it won't happen. So don't accept it. Their words will be wasted and then you haven't wasted any energy or gone to the trouble of getting angry over nothing.
Belief is powerful. It navigates you to the direction of anything you want. When you stop believing and then think they will win because they have power and you're angry about it - then you've already lost. You're giving power to their belief. You have to believe what YOU want and work HARD for it. Never get dismayed, pitfalls are just a part of it all - in the end the message will prevail because you choose to believe this, you all can. Just keep going, going over every obstacle in your way because your belief is what you choose to make become reality. Don't grow tired of the journey because the destination is worth it, even IF you get a few flat tires.
So if you want something - believe in it.
Getting angry and bothered is not focusing on that belief, it's focusing on theirs. They can pronounce their belief all they want but they are empty words to be if you don't believe in them and logically there is no need to waste your energy to or drop your manners.
NEVER drop your manners for anyone, they're not worth it. Being polite is very affordable. Rudeness is costly.
People around you will start to join your belief if you're positive and polite.
The conventions are club meetings essentially. They're a "country club" for those that want to wield power who otherwise can't get it. It makes them feel special. If you walk into in a country club like a rabble what do you think will happen? They think of it as their club and you as the outsider.
They don't like losing power and position because their livelyhoods depend on it. They don't like the message. They're going to tell you how it's going to be because it's a tool they will want to use. They're going to give you a hard time. If you know it and are going to expect it then why get angry? It's a waste of your energy. Go home later and shout in a paper bag if you have to or swing a baseball bat for a few hours if you have to let it all out.
Rock up to the conventions and keep things quiet. It's GOOD the media think Ron is out, they'll lose interest and no one but the Ron Paul people will know about the conventions. Who cares if the media isnt reporting, its actually a positive so complaining about the media, it's wasted energy, energy and time that could be put to better use - like raising funds and supporting elected delegates.
We want to be the only ones showing up. We want to be the majority vote there. Having violence and media attention is not good for the campaign when it rallies the troops of the opposition. Be polite even when they aren't. So please, less talk about booing. You guys are already winners just for being a Ron Paul supporters. Act like winners. Really start believing in our future, the future we determine and of course - build towards it.
