Texas Senate Race: Ted Cruz Sounds Good, but ...

he fails to mention anything about the Empire and the Wars. If you can't see that War is the Health of the State, you really cannot be for "shrinking government" because you fail to see what grows it.

Now, Ted Cruz does come with some endorsements. Rand and Ron Paul, Sarah Palin....and he does really have the gift of talking good... He sounds off on obeying the Constitution, Small government, cutting spending.... He sounded great on Hannity, but not a word about defense cuts. I did not hear a word about legalizing freedom: ie ending the patriot act, NDAA, SOPA, CISPA, the Drug War.

So i don't know if we really have a clever Republican adopting the Ron Paul small govt rhetoric, without the foreign policy and bill of rights stuff.

He could be just another Mark Rubio failure all over again.

This is where endorsements help

If Ron endorsed him that's good enough for me. And I don't say that out of hero worship but out of practicality. He has far more knowledge of Cruz' positions than I do and probably has had private conversations and knows which people he is influenced by. It's Ron's home state after all. Ron didn't have to endorse anyone and he hasn't in many states.

At any rate if you're going to vote in the primary you're selecting from imperfect human beings and even worse from among politicians. So you're never going to get everything you want. It's probably a good bet with Ron's endorsement that Cruz is the best we can get in Texas, and may support those causes near and dear to our heart that he can't openly advocate during the primary if he wants to win.

"Special computer chip embedded"

"Glenn Addison:

VI) Illegal Immigration:

1. What do you see as the #1 problem with illegal immigration? Open borders

2. What actions could we take to stop illegal immigrants from taking advantage of social services? Require a certified copy of a birth certificate. I propose converting all U.S. birth certificates to ones in which there is a special computer chip embedded in the document that can not be duplicated and/or tampered with."

"Let me also say that Mr. Addison would repeal "parts" of the Patriot Act --but not the whole thing?

Look if you want compromise go to the Tea Party NOT liberty candidates.

We did not misrepresent Liberty Candidates --these are candidates running for office on the inspiration and platform of Dr. Ron Paul. Dr. Paul does not compromise on the Constitution and would never ask for computer chips in birth certificates or to repeal "parts" of the patriot act.

Perhaps Glenn Addison is misrepresenting himself as a Candidate for Liberty?

Again, go to the Tea Party --they tend to compromise and give up their liberty for a little bit of security. And why bother putting computer chips in birth certificates? Go for the whole arm!

Enough said

Gigi Bowman"

"Glenn Addison filled out the application for Liberty candidates and he was not voted in due to how he answered the questions.

No one is being misrepresented. Anyone who would like to be part of the liberty candidates committee can join here www.liberty-candidate.org

I have Glenn Addison's application on file."

Tom Woods , Mike Church, Robert Scott Bell,

Tom Woods , Mike Church, Robert Scott Bell, Those three respected and trusted patriots are on record endorsing Glenn Addison as a Liberty Candidate. Gigi who are you? I seriously question the virtue of having a tiny group of people who form a "National Organization" and appoint themselves guardians of who is a Liberty Candidate or not. The top down, "we know better then you" approach resembles Dave Nalle's Republican Liberty Caucus and is why the Addison Campaign sent a written notice to Gigi that we were no longer interested in an endorsement. Gigi and others in her band of Liberty Movement overlords proceeded to smear Glenn Addison. This is highly unethical considering we no longer sought your blessing... What you did was unprofessional, petty, vindictive and very much like how Dave Nalle acts... are you two related?

Robert Scott Bell Endorses Glenn Addison

That said, the Hannity

That said, the Hannity endorsement was pretty disturbing to me, but there's no way I can vote for someone who wants to mandate real ID microchips. Seriously, wtf. Addison clearly does not grasp the concept of liberty.

I'll vote for Glen Addison

... Cruz will cave... Washington will change him.

Plano TX

I voted Glenn Addison

Also Vote these people if you can.

Jennifer Hall

I hope Texans vote for Glen Addison

the real liberty candidate...

Compromise will get us no where!

Why do you think the Libertarian Party is so unsuccessful?

They compromised themselves, by watering down their message.

I think we can make lemonade

out of these lemons.

Let's look at it.
The Dick Armey people want Cruz endorsed. He's their fake liberty guy from the fake tea party.
Ron Paul apparently needs something from them, or he wouldn't have made some deal to endorse Cruz.
So, they have their deal, and Cruz gets Ron's endorsement, but Cruz doesn't endorse Paul, because he thinks Paul is a liability to his campaign. He just wants what he can get from Paul in a one-way street.

So, I say let it be.
They got their endorsement from Ron, and that's all that was required.
The people can vote for whomever they wish, and it doesn't have to be Cruz. All they bargained for was Ron's endorsement, and he can't be held responsible if the people didn't fall in line.

So, don't make waves. Let Ron get his results he wants from the bargain, which he upheld.
The people can take care of business at the voting booth, and Cruz doesn't need to be the recipient.
Get it?
Play it smooth.
If I lived in TX, I'd vote for the guy who endorsed Ron Paul, which is Addison.

So Addison is the man, thanks Big T

This would be the first-ever

This would be the first-ever Ron Paul endorsement of someone who is not in line with his foreign and domestic policies.

I suspect it unlikely that Ron Paul would give such an endorsement when his endorsement is one of the more valuable ones in the country, but refrain from doing so for 30 years otherwise.

If Ron Paul supports him, I suspect he is a stealth liberty candidate within the RINO world, not the other way around. But only time and votes (if he wins) will tell for sure.

Cruz's wife

is a VP for Goldman Sachs.
I have a difficult time believing Cruz is going to work contrary to her interests.

That ain't all.

Previously in her career, Cruz's wife wrote “Building a North American Community” which was sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations. Her bio in that report says, “HEIDI S. CRUZ is an energy investment banker with Merrill Lynch in Houston, Texas. She served in the Bush White House under Dr. Condoleezza Rice as the Economic Director for the Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council, as the Director of the Latin America Office at the U.S. Treasury Department, and as Special Assistant to Ambassador Robert B. Zoellick, U.S. Trade Representative. Prior to government service, Ms. Cruz was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan in New York City.”

Ted Cruz has all the big money behind him

He will probably win. He refused to endorse Ron Paul, even though Ron endorsed him. That speaks loud and clear what kind of character he is.
I will vote for Glen Addison. He has the same ideas as Dr. Paul and proudly endorsed him. He does not have any money behind him and not much ground organization.
