Minnesota Convention Chants "President Paul"

ST. PAUL -- Minnesota Republicans endorsed a U.S. Senate candidate at their state convention Friday, but saved their biggest reaction for Ron Paul.

To chants of “President Paul,” 2,000 Minnesota convention delegates welcomed the Texas congressman and presidential candidate.

“There are a lot of friends of liberty in this town,” Paul said.

Nice.

I live in Minnesota and I think

this is just awesome that Paul was at the state convention. I still can't get over my county sent a bunch of neo-con santorums there. I did remember the chairman was bragging how they screwed the paulites in 2008 and how they were going to do it again.

I can hardly wait till Monday I am going to call some of the delegates to see how it went at the convention. I bet they are floored by the Paul crowd at the convention, I love it.

Everyone needs to remember this stuff because we are changing the history path America is on.

Of course they do!!

Normally

This kind of thing would get me really excited, and I would tell so, so many people about it. Yet I am so confused about what's happening and why and there are so many rumors that I don't understand, and I just don't feel it anymore. I really wish I did.

Okay

... I'm listening. Go ahead... :)
By the way, rumors are gossip and that's usually not good:

So grow up! :) I mean that in the most ambitious, hopeful sense. Grow beyond these cardboard walls that surround you. No matter how flawed Dr. Paul's advisors are at communicating and no matter how big or small anyone feels they are, the truth is that nobody ever really knows what's going on. We're all winging it, all the time, we always have! We don't know how long we have. The lesson is that this time, right now, is the most important time in the world. Stand behind your Doctor, he has never let you down, not even this week. Look to actions, not words. Paul said he would focus like a hawk on the state conventions and others said that he quit. Well where is he? Lake Jackson? NO, he's in Minnesota... at the state convention. That's right! Actions speak louder than words. It's never over. We fight to the last man, until the last of our harrowed limbs falls lifeless to the ground, ending a war well-waged for the cause of all causes.

Peace out, cousin. Chin up.

Amen

and Amen, and Amen.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

This is exactly what I had to tell myself this week. And boy did it feel good :)

And anyway, got any other ideas? Really, what choice do we have? Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. So take your power back! Get out there and fight for liberty!!!

You ust don't feel it anymore and that's why you posted

here. You post what you don't feel. Ahem...okay, thx for posting. ?

To continue

the sarcasm: thanks for answering my questions and helping me understand what's going on. You obviously are well-informed.

Nice Rainbow

You must be a woman, because you think it's all about what you feel. Ron Paul is getting more votes than he ever has, but you don't feel it. Okay.

You

are a sexist. There are plenty of men who like rainbows.

Maybe you just need a few

Maybe you just need a few minutes to recharge in that quiet meadow...??

All is well!

I'm a man and I like rainbows!

They are pretty and remind us of a promise that God made us. I never could figure out why a rainbow now represents.."Hey I'm a guy and I get turned on by hairy guy asses"

So No...I'm not a sexist and I'm not a homophobe either...just don't understand why the word Gay which means jovial or happy, and the rainbow have been hijacked to represent men who lay with men. Now we can't even use rainbows or a happy word such as gay without people thinking we're either queer or using hate speech. This country is upside down.

Just take a break

and welcome back when you are ready again.

Peace.

That

truly is a sweet reply! Thanks. I might do that, but I still will have questions.

Looks like you have been around for while so you should

understand that Ron Paul makes his moves when he makes them, for a reason. I dont think that Ron Paul is lying to us or anything like that, but some things in politics must not be told in the spotlight. The campaign is not the answer to our problems. They are not the bearer of the torch of liberty, we are. Us, involved in our local politics will change things (as we have seen thus far). Dont worry about the rumors, just stay focused & stay tuned. We must look at the long game. I am very excited, still. I know what Ron Paul has done here to set ablaze a workforce of people committed to local politics. All these committed people around the country working together, changes things. The entire game is changing because of Ron Paul & our work. Dont be bummed if every step & action the campaign takes is not the one you would have taken, or not even the one that makes the most sense. Stay focused & stay in the game. Today at a coffee shop a gentleman saw my ron paul stickers on my laptop & commented in a positive way...he was not as involved as I am but he asked if I was a pco or delegate...i told him yes to both. The wonderful thing about the exchange is that he knew about the local political process (because of seeing Ron Paul). Now he is awake to what is happening & there is no going back to la la land for him. He asked for my contact info & we will stay connected in the local game. My guess is that he will become increasingly more involved in local politics. He agreed that Ron Paul has pushed the cart over the top of the crest..meaning that this movement is not going anywhere... in fact because of our hard work..continuing into the future, WE are forcing the changes. By persuading & convincing others about the correct solutions to the problems we face we are winning the ideas game. I hope this encourages you. Never in 2008 Ron Paul campaign did I get stopped continually by people who wanted to engage about ideas. We keep pushing forward. Peace.

Thanks

for the encouragement, and I'm not being sarcastic. I suppose the next few weeks will determine what's going to happen, but looking back on how the corporate media works, I don't see how they won't marginalize the Republican party and then certify a new one.

Take Heart

If memory serves, you are in Colorado. You folks did a GREAT job and you did it with little to no help from the campaign. YOU were a delegate to put Dr. Paul in the Presidency and save our nation. WE are the campaign, Dr. Paul is OUR candidate and WE will draft him to be the nominee. The campaign, aside perhaps Doug Wead, has been a disgrace, but WE of the Grassroots are the true champions of Liberty. Forget the rumors, they are just that. Let's all focus on the grassroots taking this all the way to Tampa and the White House! Damn the torpedoes (campaign), full speed ahead!

whoa there...

I was a delegate to state in Colorado and the campaign was a tremendous help. The volunteers were very important too, but the campaign staff was very young and we were all figuring it out as we went along. This is a huge learning curve for everyone, and like any other huge endeavor, (in fact I can't think of anything bigger that has ever happened in recent decades) it was like herding cats...independent thinkers!
peace out!

"Any government that is big enough to give everything you need is also strong enough to take it all away."

Yes.

I was a delegate too. The campaign was a huge help, and I don't think we could have done it without their hard work and many, many long hours pulling all the counties together. We owe them so much, but those who were in CO weren't the executive campaign chairs.

This makes me feel like posting this video.....

Special thanks to the DP poster who put this out a couple of years ago.

"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves." William Pitt in the House of Commons November 18, 1783
"I know major allies who fund them" Gen. Dempsey

Wish I could have been there

I really wanted to go to the state convention as a delegate, but I had to leave my SD convention early to get to work, and wasn't able to put my hat in the ring.

I was an alternate in 2008, and I was quite literally front row center for Dr. Paul's speech outside. I felt it was worth mentioning that it was not raining during his speech, it rained a bit before the speech, and then the clouds parted with the sun shining down on Dr. Paul, and then began raining again after he finished. In fact, the storm culminated with a severe hail storm, which could be heard as a loud roar inside the convention hall, during all sorts of shenanegens with the delegate selection.

From what I could see on the ustream

it looked like the Romney folks were into the Ron Paul phenomenon as well. Now I'm not at all surprised. Once you hear the truth, it's very difficult to deny it.

Uhh...I think this means we

Uhh...I think this means we just won Minnesota.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

TRUE!

...in a just world. I really enjoyed watching the video of this convention it's very gratifying to see the Freedom message take hold and The Good Doctor made so welcome.

This nomination process will show us how the political world operates. In the last 4 years I have watched so much more closely then in the past and I am sure this is true for most here. The GOP establishment are under much closer scrutiny then in the past and the corruption is being exposed more and more with each passing day.

If we do not "win" due to slight of hand by the GOP, the silver lining is that we will know just how a big a job we have to do restore our republic and where to focus our effort... Let not your heart be troubled as there are more of us then them, these conventions prove it. And we are still growing and their numbers are diminishing! YES...fist in the air time!

What has been seen cannot be unseen. Witnessing other videos showing the corruption fires me up for the GOOD FIGHT and I will NEVER stop the fight for right and LIBERTY!

Go Ron Paul!!
